Hi hi, fonulyn here! Since I'm tired and driveless, I stole a meme from Larky and thought I'd post it here instead of my personal journal since it's about writing. So it fits? Kinda. Anyhow! Here's how it works:

Give me a link to one of my fics, and I'll give you three details that didn't make it into the fic. Background canon, deleted scenes, or a look into the future. If you have a specific question you can ask it in your request, otherwise it'll be completely random.

I also recently posted a WIP list in my journal if someone is interested to take a peek. I make no promises though! Fic you see on that list might not be finished in ages, or I might end up writing something else. But those are in progress right now :) You may also talk me into/out of things and chat about the fics anything with me. C'mon, I don't bite!

This entry exists to inform everyone following this journal that now rabenhorst has its DreamWidth counterpart at rabenhorst!

This doesn't really change much, though! The DW account will serve as a mirror and a backup for this journal, in case something goes wrong and seeing the recent downtimes LJ has had, it might be wise to back things up. DW is still having free access (usually you need invite codes) for a couple of days now so if you want to back your own journal up, go for it! If you're confused about DW, ask away or use their FAQ. It's easy, I promise.

Everything will be posted both on rabenhorst and on rabenhorst! If you want to subscribe to the DW account, feel free, or if you rather keep reading the entries on livejournal, you are very welcome to do so! We just wanted to offer you the possibility to choose :)

Also, if you don't know the reasons behind this and the incredible LJ chaos that has ensured, there's some recommended reading here and here.

If your only issue with the new LJ update is how the blank white comment pages look now, then I suggest you try out this add-on. It at least works perfectly for me! (Goodbye to font-induced headaches while reading fic, hurrah!)

This is something I both was asked to do, and wanted to do. Some of you who are on my friends-list have already seen an entry I made some time ago in my personal journal, showing off these little inspiration boxes for drabble-writing. Since the idea seemed to be liked, I figured I would introduce it to you too and maybe it would help someone to get writing :)

The idea is simple. You fold two little paper boxes. Then you take words, or short quotes, and you write them down on little pieces of paper. Those papers you can squeeze into little balls and then play a little writing-lottery ;) First pick a pairing in one of the boxes, secondly pick a prompt-word from another box, then just write. It can be a traditional drabble of only 100 words, it can be a small ficlet or it can be a longer fic. Anything you want to do and anything the prompts inspire you to do. If you have a printer, you can even print out small pictures and add them in the midst of the prompt words ;) Anything goes!

So, what I would like you to do now, is to make your own inspiration boxes :) No matter what your pairings are, no matter what style you write. This works for everything. If you want you can only make the prompt-box and leave out the pairing-box, working with whatever pairing seems to suit the prompt you get. It's all up to you! This is supposed to be fun and I hope you'll all enjoy doing it ;)

Write your drabbles and share them in comments below, comment on the drabbles others have written and let your inner fangirl(/boy) free! I encourage you to spam the entry as much as you wish. Go go!
