Inspiration-boxes.
This is something I both was asked to do, and wanted to do. Some of you who are on my friends-list have already seen an entry I made some time ago in my personal journal, showing off these little inspiration boxes for drabble-writing. Since the idea seemed to be liked, I figured I would introduce it to you too and maybe it would help someone to get writing :)
The idea is simple. You fold two little paper boxes. Then you take words, or short quotes, and you write them down on little pieces of paper. Those papers you can squeeze into little balls and then play a little writing-lottery ;) First pick a pairing in one of the boxes, secondly pick a prompt-word from another box, then just write. It can be a traditional drabble of only 100 words, it can be a small ficlet or it can be a longer fic. Anything you want to do and anything the prompts inspire you to do. If you have a printer, you can even print out small pictures and add them in the midst of the prompt words ;) Anything goes!

Here are my little boxes. In the smaller one, I wrote down pairings and in the bigger one, there are prompt words. If you want, you can only include your favorite pairings or only single characters. The idea would be to offer more variety though, so I at least included also pairs I don't particularly like, to see if I mange to get some little drabbles done of them ;)

I randomly took two papers from the boxes, and as you can see it now offered me to write a D/T ficcie with the promptword "love". Not that hard, eh? It's a pretty vague prompt, you can have something much more specific too if you want to :)

I took a moment to fold a few boxes just, and this is what came of it. I was thinking that maybe in one box I could fit some Christmas-themed promptwords, in one box some more melancholy ones and in one box some happy fluff. Or then you can just put everything into one box and see what you get!
To fold your own box, you can either google a good manual or then you can follow the instructions I made for this type of box. The pictured guide is here; part 1 and part 2. Feel free to ask me if you have some troubles with it and I can try to help!
If you need help in figuring out promptwords or -quotes, there are several amazing communities around in lj to find inspiration. I can give you the list of words I included in my original prompt-box and you can fill in more as much as you want and leave out whatever words you don't find appealing :) Also if you have good words or quotes, comment on the post with them so other people can use them too! Sharing is caring.
Here's the original word-list I used (not that much);
So, what I would like you to do now, is to make your own inspiration boxes :) No matter what your pairings are, no matter what style you write. This works for everything. If you want you can only make the prompt-box and leave out the pairing-box, working with whatever pairing seems to suit the prompt you get. It's all up to you! This is supposed to be fun and I hope you'll all enjoy doing it ;)
Write your drabbles and share them in comments below, comment on the drabbles others have written and let your inner fangirl(/boy) free! I encourage you to spam the entry as much as you wish. Go go!

(on a first and second test try i got D/K/T twice! i dunno man. i dunno. must be a sign)

haha and works without boxes too. I love making those things though x) I'd send you a couple of my boxes if I could. I just don't think they'd survive in a letter x)
I need some time to actually write something too (damn school distracting) but the entry won't run away or anything so let's hope it loves long and prospers XD

It's so weird to see where I was sitting this very morning still and now I am more than 1200km away again (and press z when i mean y and # when I mean ').
I like the idea of the boxes a log. Maybe I should give those a try too when everything calmed down a bit^^

Trust me, feels so weird to me too. It's hard to grasp it was still today! And I already miss ya...
You should^^ heh, could turn out fun! I was trying to write something too but I'm so friggin' tired and braindead that I don't think I manage today.

Aw damnit, I wanna go on with the story hun. Can't wait to have the parents gone and have their friends there. Oh, and of course I think the night out with Die's siblings and Kao will be so much fun too^^
I miss you too, trust me. But I had quite much to do already when I came home. The calenders turned out pretty nice at least. Anyhow, I want to be back!

Prompt: Better late than never.
It took Kaoru eight years to realize he was in love with Die.
Eight years of wondering what exactly the redhead meant to him. He’d always loved Die, they were best friends, of course, and had been there for each other through thick and thin, after every messy break up, after every family feud, even after Die has accidentally broken one of Kaoru’s precious Gundam figurines. Looking back, Kaoru realized he should’ve figured it out then, since if that had been anyone else than the redheaded guitarist with the biggest grin this side of Wonderland, they would’ve been buried six feet under before they could say ‘oh shit, sorry’.
But he didn’t. Until, one night, eight years after he had first met him, something in his brain clicked when they were watching some terrible horror film in Die’s apartment and he found himself looking at his friend from a different perspective. Had Die always been so good looking?
Kaoru had always known the redhead was attractive but now he found himself really taking in everything about him, really noticing the things that made him who he was, like the little freckle that adorned his right eye, his large, pretty but unmistakably Asian eyes that always clearly showed his emotions and of course, those full, soft lips that were currently smeared with melted chocolate.
“Errr… Kaoru?” Die noticed he was being stared at and turned his head to face the older man, licking the chocolate off his plush bottom lip, his eyebrow raised. “You alright?”
“Yeah… um,” Kaoru blinked a couple of times, finally registering how much he actually loved to hear the younger guitarist’s voice. It was a nice voice, unable to deceive or harm anyone and the shorter man knew that Die was the only person in the world he could trust with his life. Which was why he felt he owed him honesty and didn’t bother to cover up what was going through his mind. “I’ve just kinda… found out I’m in love with you.”
Die nodded, a soft yet slightly smug smile spreading across his lips and after giving Kaoru a short look that was filled to the brim with adoration, he turned his head back to the screen.
“About bloody time.”

Die deserves to be admired. Constantly. xD Even when he's wearing chocolate around his gob.
Thank you ;3 I have nine more to write... I got a bit addicted to picking out the prompts and stuff.
So far I haven't got K/T, which I'm very happy about. xD
But now I'm gonna work on chapter four of my d/k ficcie. :3

Pairing: Die/Toshiya
Prompt: My religion is you
For some reason that he couldn’t quite figure out himself, Die had taken to spending hours outside after dusk had fallen, lying on the grass and staring up into oblivion, watching the stars twinkle down at him. It was a time for thinking, a time to ponder over the meaning of life, a time to relax and stop the stress of work from overwhelming him.
There was nothing on the telly anyway.
Toshiya had been watching him silently for around half an hour, a small, soft smile on his lips. He didn’t bother asking why Die chose to spend the night outside. He’d grown used to the fact that the redhead simply did what he wanted to do, regardless of what people thought or whether it was the right thing to do. Die just acted on impulse, lived life his way and his way only, and it was something that Toshiya both respected and loved in the older man.
“Makes you feel small, doesn’t it?” He grinned down at the man lying on the freshly mowed lawn, chuckling as Die jumped a little and turned to face him, his full lips curved into a delicate smile. “Space, I mean.”
Die nodded, the smile growing a little, turning his gaze back up to the heavens and pursing his lips a little in thought. “What do you think is out there?”
“Aliens?” Toshiya laughed his goose-like laugh, settling down on the lawn next to him, taking in the scent of the cut grass and the cologne the redhead was wearing.
The older man chuckled, moving closer to his partner when he had gotten comfortable and resting his head on his shoulder. “I mean… do you think some kinda… higher being is up there now, watching us?”
“I sincerely hope not,” The younger man sounded a little outraged, but his voice carried an undertone of amusement and he couldn’t hold back a little giggle. “That would be a little pervy.”
“You’re impossible,” Die lifted his body up a little to look the other man in the eye, rolling himself over on his stomach and leaning on his elbows. He shook his head, his eyes sparkling. “So, you don’t believe there’s a God?”
Toshiya shook his head in response; a little impish smile playing on his lips, before his expression grew softer and his voice came out as a whisper. “Let me tell you what I do believe in.” Die nodded, the look in his eyes telling the other man to continue and Toshiya took the invitation after giving him a gentle peck on the lips. “I believe in you. I believe in us. I believe in what we have and I believe that you are the only one that can ever make me this happy. I believe I love you.”
For a short while, Die just stared back down at him, eyes glistening with emotion and for a second, Toshiya thought that he was going to cry. But, he just lowered his head and claimed the bassist’s lips in a slow, sensual kiss, before grinning widely, his entire face lighting up.
“That was so cheesy, baby.” He laughed, finding his way to Toshiya’s neck and nuzzling into it.
“I know…” Toshiya chuckled softly, his cheek resting on Die’s head, arms holding him close. “But I meant every word.”

You really should post your drabbles around for everyone to see, at least when you get a few more of them done! haha, I love getting emails every time you post something here, but I think it'd be worth it to share them with everyone! :D
