Comments: Yesterday I spent the whole day watching different lives and sjm videoclips with friends, and I kept on complaining I want to see a qmi duet. I guess my subconscious remembered it during the night since I woke up with this XD This is kind of an experiment since I’ve never written in second person before, but that is how it came out so …I hope the pov serves the purpose it should. I kind of liked writing it but I don’t think I’ll end up using second person that much in the future x)



The familiar beat of the carefully chosen song is already pounding through your veins even if the song hasn’t even yet begun. You stand on the side, ready to step on stage when the first notes resonate through the air and you have a definite feeling that you’ve never been this nervous before. You are wrong, of course, since you get this nervous each single time before this song but still it always seems new, every time.

Your heart is beating like a drum in your ribcage, ready to burst free and you try to breathe in deep, force yourself calm down. Your palms are sweaty and you wipe them on your pants for what feels like the millionth time during the past five minutes, just because you are so nervous. You keep on fidgeting, just barely noticeably, unable to stay completely still no matter what you do.

And you keep smiling all along.

When it’s time to step on stage you send a quick prayer upstairs – or no, it’s not really a prayer as much as it is a thank you, thank you so much – and the next second you are surrounded by blinding lights and the cheers of the audience. You smile, but your eyes dart to the side, searching. Searching for what isn’t there yet and you know it.

The nervousness has faded to the background, like it always does, and your voice doesn’t waver when you let the song begin, enjoy the easiness with which the melody slips off your tongue. You’ve rehearsed this a million times and you know it will all go down exactly how you want. You’re just building up, waiting for the right moment. Waiting for him.

You know when to expect it and you close your eyes, nearly hold your breath.

Another voice joins yours and it’s your turn to fall silent, to listen to the familiar syllables. It’s a voice so different from your own, and yet so similar, so fitting in so many ways. You grin, the corner of your mouth quirking upward and you turn your head, finally opening your eyes.

Then, then he is right there next to you, all long legs and bright stunning smile, his voice matching yours exactly how it’s supposed to.

He smiles and you smile, since there is nothing else you can do when he is there with you.

You look him straight in the eye when you reach the chorus and when he reaches out for you, you don’t even try to pull back. You are in this together and you want to show it. You know it’s only thinly veiled in politeness, supporting a friend in the only way possible, while in reality there is so much more.

The audience, the scorching lights and the cheers, you love them. But you have a definite feeling you could live without them. As long as you’d have his voice twine with yours, his fingers brushing against your own, his gaze directed at you, his waist under your arm when you pull him closer.

It’s over way too soon and he gives you one last smile, his eyes sparkling when he spins around and leaves you standing there. Like always. Like it has to be. Just before he vanishes from your sight he turns to look at you and you can almost hear the impish Oh Kui Xian~ in your mind when he mouths it through his grin.

You can’t help but want more. One song is never enough.

There are other people next to you now, people you care about, but it’s not the same. You match their smiles and follow the routine, tease them and let yourself to be teased in turn. But somewhere, in the back of your mind, you see that stunning smile and it makes your own turn just a little bit wider.

You don’t want this to ever end. At the same time you can’t wait till it’s over and you can run backstage, only to sink into a warm, congratulatory embrace. Hear his laughter and feel his smile on your skin.

Somewhere in the midst of this all, you wonder when exactly it happened. When did your world start revolving around him? You can’t remember, distinguish a single moment from the blur of everything you’ve been through. But it doesn’t matter.

As long as you keep gravitating towards each other.

My ultimate goal would be Mimi, but I want to live so Henry is my second goal XD He's closer to my age anyways and I have a thing for his lips. Yeah, I'd be dead meat in five seconds if I even tried anything XD Jealous!Kyu is always relevant and a great plot bunny! IT SO IS. Which is why I've been hanging on lj and tumblr and writing Qmi p0rn all day instead of finising this one book which has to be read by tomorrow because I'm going to try to read the whole thing tonight XD Seriously, I don't know why I do this.
