Before any of them really realize what is happening, Heechul’s enlistment grows near. It was a surprise to them all to hear he was going to begin with, and somehow the days after it are such a blur they feel like seconds instead. It’s like someone blinked and the time disappeared. Heechul is the most positive one about it. He thinks that the sooner he goes, the sooner he will be back. Not everyone shares his attitude but they all try, if not otherwise then because they do not wish to face Heechul’s wrath.
There is only one thing wrong with this whole equation, Heechul thinks. This one stupid drama, and the stupid filming of said stupid drama that takes place stupidly far away from him. Heechul isn’t, however, one to give up when he wants something and he knows he can have that something. Let’s face it, he can pretty much have whatever the hell he wants. Because he is Kim Heechul and all other arguments are invalid.
So Heechul picks up his phone and sends Siwon eleven messages, one right after another. They are all some variation of you are an idiot and why are you not here and why aren’t you answering goddamnit. There is no response so Heechul calls him, reaching him after two failed attempts. He ignores all of Siwon’s protests and how he tries to tell him he’s busy. “You’d better come over before I leave,” Heechul demands instead. “If you won’t, I will forever haunt you.”
“You’re not dying, Heechul,” Siwon points out exasperatedly. He has been filming nonstop for days and he is tired and it’s late. Still a part of him – a quite large part of him, actually – is happy to just hear Heechul’s voice, complaining or not.
“I might as well be,” Heechul snaps and closes the phone. He regrets it a moment later and rapidly sends Siwon three messages. They’re not apologies, they’re more threats to end Siwon’s life, but Siwon knows how to interpret them anyway. He learned to read between the lines long, long ago.
What do you know. The next day Siwon flies over like the Superman. He appears on the doorstep with nothing more than a small backpack and the clothes he’s in, and Heechul thinks already that is too much. Who needs clothes, anyway? He grabs Siwon’s arm and yanks him inside nevertheless, only scowling a little about him being so late. They take silly selcas and bother each other. They spend time with the others until no one can take Heechul’s jokes anymore and they’re left alone.
In the night, when the lights finally turn off, there are no cameras. Then, it is just them.
They say goodbye the long way and they both know that the month of being apart will be both incredibly long and go by in the blink of an eye. They know it’s not the end of the world, and that it doesn’t need to change anything. Yet Heechul uses the given opportunity to blackmail everything he can from Siwon, fully aware of the hold he has of the younger man. He falls asleep in the safe circle of Siwon’s arms, only to wake up to the scent of fresh, strong coffee and a rich breakfast set on the table.
When Siwon smiles at him, Heechul thinks it’s not all too bad. Maybe it’s worth it to leave for a while. After all, the welcome home has to be even better than the goodbyes.

and you're right, the welcome home is better than the goodbye. somehow i never thought about this actually...so thanks really much and that's almost pretty much how i imagined it anyway with siwon coming to say goodbye to chullie xD (although i hope he came because he himself decided it and not chullie but either way it fine ^^)
