Summary: Watching Kyuhyun waddle around in his pepper costume turns out to be challenging in ways Zhou Mi never imagined. Even half an hour later he isn’t certain how he got to the conclusion that the outfit is actually pretty hot. He doesn’t really mind, though.
Comments: Uhm. I’m having an identity crisis since I kind of like Kyuhyun in his green pepper suit a bit too much. No, I don’t have strange vegetable fetishes and I can explain the reasoning behind this but it’d take too long so I’ll just settle for saying that this is inspired by said costume and that I have no idea what is wrong with me XD I don’t know if this is fail!humor or just a pwp. You decide.
No one knows who the genius mastermind behind the costume party at the dorms is, because no one wants to take responsibility. It is quite possible it is Donghae, who couldn’t wait to try out some weird mask he had spotted downtown and impulsively bought. Or might be it is Heechul, since most weird ideas track back to Heechul one way or another, everyone in Super Junior knows.
So, no one knows or tells why, but somehow they end up in the middle of a costume party in the cramped space in the dorms. Everyone is invited, but no one remembered to inform Zhou Mi about the costume part, so when he walks in the room and sees it crammed with people in the wildest outfits imaginable, his eyes might go a little wide. Frantically he tries to recognize the faces, to ensure he is surrounded by friends instead of raging lunatics. Although he isn’t always completely certain what the difference is.
It doesn’t take him long to spot Kyuhyun, at least. You see, Kyuhyun has opted for his green pepper outfit. “I am not buying an outfit so I can wear it once and throw it away.” He explains once Zhou Mi is standing next to him and they both have a little cup of punch to sip on. Already a little cup of it is enough, though, as apparently someone (Ryeowook) has taken an opportunity earlier to spike it. Meaning it’s approximately 90% alcohol and 10% punch.
“You do know you are kind of adorable in that outfit?” Zhou Mi smiles at the green pepper by his side, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Kyuhyun just smirks and that is definitely an answer enough.

It’s a bigger surprise when Zhou Mi’s mind comes up with the following equation: a pepper Kyuhyun equals an adorable Kyuhyun, an adorable Kyuhyun equals an embarrassed Kyuhyun, an embarrassed Kyuhyun equals a flushed Kyuhyun and finally, a flushed Kyuhyun equals a hot Kyuhyun.
Even half an hour later Zhou Mi isn’t quite certain how he managed to get to the conclusion that Kyuhyun is hot in his pepper suit but he doesn’t really even mind. He sips more of Ryeowook’s special punch. And maybe possibly perhaps is eating Kyuhyun alive with his eyes. By the time Kyuhyun waddles back to him in his suit, his cheeks flushed since it is quite a hot costume in many ways, Zhou Mi has all sorts of plans for the night.
“Hey,” he grabs a hold of Kyuhyun’s elbow, pulling him close against himself. “Let’s go to your room. It’s empty.” It’s a horrible, horrible pick up line but thankfully Zhou Mi doesn’t need pick up lines anymore. Not when it comes to Kyuhyun, and Kyuhyun is the only person he wants to pick up anyway. Almost literally right now, since he does look quite squishy in his outfit.
“Are you saying you still think I’m hot, even if I’m a pepper?” Kyuhyun laughs at first, but it dies in his throat as he registers the dark look in Zhou Mi’s eyes. He swallows. “You perv. Let’s go.” And this time it’s Kyuhyun who tugs on Zhou Mi’s arm and practically pulls him out of the room.
Turns out it’s quite challenging to properly make out when one of them is trapped inside a bulky costume. Whenever Zhou Mi tries to pull Kyuhyun close there is something in the way, and it is increasingly difficult to actually grab anything when all your hands reach is pepper and more pepper. They only exchange a few feverish kisses before Zhou Mi decides the pepper suit has to go. It was fun while it lasted, thank you, but now it served its purpose.
Only things don’t work out as easily as they thought they would. Kyuhyun’s head has barely disappeared inside the pepper suit, his arms sticking upwards when he lets out a muffled “oof” and stops.
“It’s stuck!” Kyuhyun cleverly informs, showing the full extent of intelligent discoveries his mind is able to supply right now. “Help me!” He sounds more than a bit demanding and Zhou Mi can’t help but chuckle as he steps closer.
Zhou Mi inspects the pepper-boyfriend he has to deal with. “It’s stuck on your thighs,” he provides helpfully, tugging on it a bit. “I always knew your ass was juicy!” He isn’t certain if Kyuhyun appreciates the compliment right now though, so he tugs on the pepper outfit a little. He makes a triumphant sound as it slides upwards. …only to get stuck again. Well, at least Kyuhyun’s lower body is free now.
“Maybe you should lie down? So I could pull your legs?” He suggests and Kyuhyun nods solemnly. At least his head does a little bopping movement inside the pepper suit so Zhou Mi assumes it is a nod. He wriggles until he is lying on the floor, waving his legs around a little bit. Zhou Mi takes that as a cue to pull so he grabs Kyuhyun’s ankles and bases his feet firmly on the ground to do so. Nothing happens, so he tries again, this time giving it all he’s got.
Horrified, he can feel how his hold is slipping and he grabs Kyuhyun’s sweatpants not to lose it completely. Only afterwards he realizes that it’s not the best idea he’s ever had. Except if his plan was to have Kyuhyun’s pants dangling from his hands and a very naked Kyuhyun lying on the floor. Or, naked from waist down as from waist up Kyuhyun is still very much inside the pepper suit.

“Aw,” Zhou Mi has the audacity to pout, the gesture enough to make Kyuhyun’s heart do a little backflip in his chest. “Never? Admit it, you liked it!”
Kyuhyun flushes an even deeper shade of red and that is answer enough to confirm everything. Still, he has his pride to maintain. “Never.”
He is certain his act is as see-through as a goddamn glass window, since the only response he gets from Zhou Mi is a happy little gigglesnort. He would pay for that later.
