diexkaorulove (and the original entry can be found here). Am now cross posting and archiving it x) I saw this one totally random picture with someone sitting on a bed with an acoustic guitar, only wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Since the picture gave me a feeling it’d be really cold in the room though, this kinda took off from there x) I hope you like it!

Freezing
The small apartment was cold, and it felt that the wind was blowing even inside there although all the windows and doors were closed. Shuddering, Die wrapped the blanket even tighter around himself, cursing the fact that the heater was once again broken and there was nothing they could do about it. Their landlord had promised to fix it, but days had turned to weeks and the redhead was beginning to doubt that anything would ever really happen. The only thing that kept him from freezing was the fluffy blanket, along with the hot tea he had planned to cook more of.
Only one glance at the futon on the other end of the room, which wasn’t actually that far away as the room was maybe four meters wide to begin with, made him shudder again and he tried to pull the blanket even better around his lithe form. “C’mon Kaoru,” he griped, a frown something between annoyed and worried appearing on his lips as he eyed the other man’s form. “Aren’t you fucking freezing?” He arched an eyebrow, and only then it occurred to him that he sounded like a mother talking to a stubborn child, and he didn’t like that analogy at all.
The same thought seemed to hit the other man in question as well, as Kaoru didn’t even try to hold back the small grin that appeared on his lips, his eyes sparkling amusedly as he looked up from what he had been doing. Namely, playing guitar and scribbling down a few notes in between as he thought he had figured out something ingenious. “No,” he answered simply, giving the smallest of headshakes. “But it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want a cup of tea as well.” There was a charming smile that went along with the words, and already seeing that Die knew that he would definitely bring him some tea.
The slightly older guitarist was sitting on the mattress in only his boxers and a t-shirt, his bare feet based on the edge so that he had propped the guitar on his lap properly. What bothered Die the most was that he looked like he truly wasn’t feeling cold at all, not although the temperature inside the apartment was low enough for it to start snowing any second. At least he could’ve sworn it to be true. With only a grunt and a wave of his hand, Die turned to finally head to the kitchen so he could get the promised drinks. Actually, calling that little corner with a stove in it a kitchen was definitely exaggerating, but it was how they referred to the little closet-like expanse of their living room.
In no time, Die was back with two colourful mugs, filled with steaming hot tea. It was the only thing they even had in the whole house right now, but neither of them felt like going out to buy some food. Not that they would’ve even had much money for it, they had already been counting what they had to live on for the remaining month and it wasn’t a lot. They could only hope that the band would take off soon, that they would finally get some of the long awaited fame and success. At least enough to eat properly and get an apartment with a fucking heater, Die thought.
As he approached the mattress he gestured for the other man to scoot over, sitting right beside him before handing him the mug. He was rewarded with a grateful smile, and for a second they simply kept on sipping their drinks. Die even closed his eyes, focusing on the way the hot liquid seemed to warm him from the inside. He only startled enough to open his eyes when the blanket around him was tugged a bit, and automatically he lifted his arm to let the small figure sneak underneath it as well. Contently, Kaoru wrapped his arms around Die’s midsection, leaning against him as he snuggled closer.
“You’re a freak, Kao,” Die tried to sound annoyed, but the words came out much too softly to get even close to that. As if to take off the remaining credibility as well, he simply hugged the smaller man’s warm body even closer to his own, freezing cold one. “How can you be so damn warm even though you’re wearing practically nothing? And I try to dress in layers and still I’m like a friggin’ icicle and -” His words were cut off by a pair of soft lips on his own, and afterwards two dark eyes looking straight at him with an affectionate sparkle hidden in the depths. “I have to.” That was the easy answer Kaoru gave with a small, victorious smile. “I need to be warm so I can warm you up too, right?”
Die couldn’t help but to smile.
