seinen_no: Sooo, there's attraction definitely, 'cause where's great anger, there's also great emotions otherwise, eh? I hope you enjoy this chapter. It takes us a bit closer to where we all wanna be. And since my hunney'll be gone for some time from Thursday on, I promise we'll try to give you the 4th chap before that too. Anyhow, enjoy!
fonulyn: Some progress here! Not much, yet, unfortunately, but it’s better than nothing nevertheless XD We have to settle for what we get! I always like re-reading the arguments we wrote, since while writing I’m so focused on one side I don’t see the motives behind the other character, but while re-reading I see how damn bull-headed they are both acting x) Anyways, I’ll stop babbling now. Please do enjoy ;)
And feel free to add our journal if you like the stories!

Shotgun Wedding
Chapter 3: Holier Than Thou
They were silent for the rest of the drive, not exchanging a single word since somehow they both enjoyed the feeling of for once being at least remotely comfortable with each other. Once they were at their home they got out of the car though, not even wishing good night to one another before retreating to their own rooms for the night.
Kaoru would have a longer meeting the day after the next and since it was in another city, he would stay over night there. He didn't even see his husband before he had already packed the necessary items into a small suitcase, checking his suit in front of the mirror again. Only then, he spotted a glimpse of the redhead from the corner of his eyes. "I will be back tomorrow late evening," he only said, assuming that Die remembered his short business-trip.
Without waiting for an answer, he grabbed his bag and hurried to the door and the waiting taxi as he was a bit late indeed. For some reason he would have hoped for his husband to say something. Of course not that he'd miss him but that he would behave or just wish him luck or anything. But that had been in vain and the thought only lasted a second anyways.
The meeting was held in the bureau of a huge oil-concern on the 27th floor and for some reason Kaoru almost felt like falling asleep throughout it. He couldn't focus that well and the air-conditioning made his eyes tired and burn. But the real reason for his indisposition was another burn, somewhere deep in the pits of his lower body. He was needy, hadn't had any in a long time and even hadn't had the chance for a moment with himself.
Luckily, this meeting was merely about strategy and facts, numbers and statistics, not so much about making deals. As good as he was with people, Kaoru didn't trust a statistic he hadn't checked himself and these seemed to be basing on bad research even. He pointed it out a couple of times, but his father, who was there too, told him those were just assumptions they were basing their strategies on and once they got the real results, they would just adjust to those.
Kaoru still didn't quite like it but accepted the explanation and fell silent again, trying to concentrate on the meeting once again. Somehow he found himself more and more distracted though, his thoughts wandering, and he was more than glad when the meeting was nearing its end finally and no one seemed to have noticed that he wasn't his sharpest right then. Technically, they would be free for the evening, but when their host suggested they would head to a nearby club for a few drinks no one objected. After all it wouldn't have been wise to leave the company right then.
For most of them it turned out to be only a couple of drinks in the classy place, but when everyone else was retreating the four youngest decided to go on to some other place since it wasn't yet a time to go to bed and they wanted to use the time for relaxing. Not much longer Kaoru found himself sitting in this cosy looking bar, in a corner booth with a drink in front of him and one of his companions sitting across the table on the other side. The others had somehow vanished along the way, but Kaoru didn't know any of them that well so he didn't exactly mind. He was able to drink by himself if he needed to.
It wasn't usual for him to get wasted, but somehow he felt like at least reaching the state of ditsyness that evening as he did need a steam valve to vent some of the pressure inside him; the pressure his marriage had brought into his life, emotionally, psychologically and physically. After downing a glass of pure bourbon, he noticed that his counterpart was staring at him with a smirk. "What?" Kaoru looked back, startled and suddenly feeling uncomfortable.
"I was just wondering why you're drinking so fast," The other man's smirk even widened and he chuckled lightly, his eyes sparkling knowingly as he leaned a bit over the table in a conspiratorial manner. "You're trying to forget the fact that you won't be going home tonight, right? I would miss my husband too, if he was as gorgeous as yours."
It took a second before Kaoru understood that his counterpart was talking about Die, but when he realized it, a small sigh left his lips. Luckily, it was too loud in the bar to make the sound heard and he quickly got a hold of himself, playing along like he was supposed to. "Of course I am. Who wouldn't?" Hoping that the topic would be off the table now, he lit a cigarette and searched for the waiter with his gaze, raising his glass to show that he wanted another drink.
His companion fell silent for as long as it took for the waiter to bring them other drinks, two for him actually and he emptied one in a single gulp. It seemed that the alcohol went straight into his head since his cheeks were a bit flushed and he was giggling as he went on. "You're lucky though that you have someone like that waiting for you at home. I don't mean to interfere, man, but even a blind man would see that you got really lucky."
"I can't complain," Kaoru answered shortly, clinging to his drink before quickly downing it to get rid of the unwanted feeling that had taken over him. Why did everybody congratulate him for having married Die? If only they knew it meant sexual starvation and, moreover, frustration. Before the marriage he had never known that kind of desire for physical togetherness, but right at that moment, when he was off duty and tried to relax and forget about his misery, this guy came and shoved it right into his face.
"I overheard some guys at work talking about him once, you know." The man went on, completely oblivious of Kaoru's uncomfortableness, babbling simply what crossed his mind while downing a drink after drink in between. "You two are quite famous indeed. But I can't deny, it crosses my mind sometimes too how it would be with him." He winked, grinning at Kaoru. "Gods those full lips he has. I bet they're the softest in the world, eh? I bet you're totally addicted to them, eh?"
The small hairs on Kaoru's arms stood up and gooseflesh appeared on his skin as a shiver ran down his spine. Hearing those things caused his body to revolt against the long dry-spell and only with all his will-power, he managed to make his brains take over control again and calm him down a bit. Although he knew it wouldn't be wise to commit himself to the topic, he still heard himself say. "Believe me, those lips are perfect." It wasn't even a lie as he indeed thought Die's lips were almost irresistible, delicious and lush. Only that he would never know how they looked when they were reddened and swollen from a row of hard kisses, plump and glistening wet. Wait, had he just thought that?
The answer was enough to make the other man laugh instantly and good-naturedly he ordered both of them another drink, leaning a bit more over the table until he was almost lying on it. "Tell me about it!" His grin was almost wide enough to break his face in half. "How does it feel, you know, to have those lips do that?" Giggling he gestured somewhere towards Kaoru's lower body.
The question, the images it caused in his mind AND the gesture made Kaoru squirm a bit on his place. He had had more alcohol than usually already and it made him somewhat careless, unable to always control his perfect façade. Yeah, how did it feel? With a huge grin, he bent forward as well, taking on a conspiratorial tone. "A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell."
"C'mon man, don't be a spoil sport! When you're the one who gets to feel all that you can as well grant other poor souls some images to enjoy!" Instantly there was a frown on the other man's lips and he looked even accusing, glaring at his companion.
That actually made the young Niikura chuckle and shake his head. Well, why not. If he couldn't have the real deal anyways, it wouldn't hurt to dwell on the thought a bit, would it? "You know his lips, but that's only part of the package," he began, his voice a bit lower as he felt like violating the law by telling these things. He tried not to imagine Die though as he spoke, pretended he was talking about somebody else. "His tongue really can drive you insane and let me tell you this much; he's greedy for everything he can get."
The other man closed his eyes momentarily even, swallowing hard and was obviously summoning images into his mind to go along with the words. He opened his eyes again soon though, looking straight at Kaoru. "You lucky bastard." He shook his head slightly, releasing a huge sigh. "Sounds like you're living a dream. A real heaven on earth." It only took a few seconds and he was chuckling again though. "I'm getting hard over the mere image, man. I've never envied anyone this much!" Another round of drinks was brought to their table, just waiting to be drunk.
Very much to Kaoru's discomfort, he could relate to that. Well, not to the 'envy' part but to the 'growing hard' part and he again shifted uncomfortably in his chair. "Why would you. Just go out and find yourself your own talented husband," he suggested, carefully trying to direct the conversation into safer realms. Yet, he was too intoxicated by alcohol, his body too rebellious to let him off the hook this easily and it kept on pumping blood into its lower regions.
"It's not so easy when you already caught the best one around," The reply instantly came with a merry wink and a chuckle. "I bet it's a wonderful feeling, being so much in love as you two are. And having amazing sex on top of it, making it all even more perfect." His smile was friendly, and it was obvious he meant no harm with his babbling.
Kaoru only prayed he would stop soon or he would have serious problems walking back to the hotel later. For a moment, he looked at his counterpart, considering if he would be up for some fun later, but quickly discarded the mere thought. First of all, the young man appeared too much of a top and he would certainly make a huge fuss about lying on his back all suddenly and second, he wasn't gorgeous enough. Kaoru's men needed to have a certain boyish charm, smooth skin and he loved pouty lips. His counterpart's face was covered with old acne scars, much worse than his own ones, and his lips were two thin lines, showing he was able to prevail.
But if something, the young man seemed to be one of those people who talk and talk once they get started, getting obsessed with one topic until they can't change it anymore. The man kept on asking things, hinting at things, making perverted allusions and practically everything he said somehow included Kaoru and Die in compromising situations. It resulted in an extremely uncomfortable evening for the young Niikura, and he was counting seconds until he would get back to the hotel room, if not for anything else then at least to have a few moments alone with his own hand.
In the end, it was just like that and Kaoru didn't even bother to turn on the porn channel but instead lived on the blooming imagination in his mind while his hand provided him utmost pleasure. He was given the perfect blowjob, the other man kneeling before him, greedily sucking and licking. The image was so real that Kaoru even heard the slurping noise whenever he pulled back a bit and felt the choking of his lover. Of course his eyes were tightly closed, his mind directed at the movie that was running in his mind where he had just grabbed a fistful of red strands to hold the other man still and take what he wanted. Wait, red strands? The thought slipped away as a wave of pleasure overcame him when his thumb circled the head of his hard cock, smearing slick wetness everywhere.
His imaginary double was thrusting deep into the willingly opened mouth, he could even feel his lover's nose press against his belly. The image alone was enough to cause wave after wave of pleasure as Kaoru could almost hear the choking whimpers, felt Die's lean fingers wrap around his balls to knead them and – DIE'S fingers? Instantly his eyes snapped open and he stared at the ceiling, his chest heaving and his whole body aroused. Why did he have to think of his good-for-nothing husband at such a moment?
Probably because of the stupid talk in the bar. Now the thought of Die's lush lips wrapped around the shaft of his hard cock was like burned into his memory and he would never ever get rid of it again. And really, as much as he tried to imagine somebody else while he finished himself, it was always Die's face that came back to his mind whenever a wave of pleasure bereaved him of control. Even when he came, he saw those chocolate eyes staring at him, saw the mocking smirk tug those perfect lips as if saying that he had known Kaoru would fall for him in the end.
At least he had managed to release some pressure, which was always good, but still he felt more than frustrated already the next morning. Besides, he was a little nervous how it would be once he would appear at home again, since definitely seeing his husband would remind him of the past night and the images he had had of him. Of course Die would never notice that something was off, Kaoru was good enough an actor, but it bothered him inwardly that he hadn't managed to shrug off the image of the redhead.
It was surprisingly easy though, since when he came home Die wasn't even there, only appearing much later in the night. And it felt like they had just fallen back to their normal routine without any troubles or options. It was like a well rehearsed play, even when they were at home, both trying to ignore each other and only exchanging some casual words occasionally.
Life went back to normal otherwise too, since the following week they had some sort of meetings practically every evening. Either a cocktail party, a casual dinner with business partners or something similar. While the redhead wasn't really known for his punctuality, this time he seemed to have serious troubles arriving on time. Either he spent ages in the bathroom and wasn't even remotely ready when Kaoru yelled at him they needed to go, or when he had to come there by his own means he simply was ten minutes late, if they were lucky. It drove Kaoru crazy, especially since it never seemed to change no matter how often he pointed it out.
The young Niikura hated unpunctuality, as to him it was a sign for unreliability. He was boiling with anger. It was a Friday evening and they were invited to a birthday party. Like all the events they had visited, this was semi-private only because the host was the head of a nationwide newspaper and very important for the reputation of their company. His wife had talked to Die in the Country Club while Kaoru had been with the men then, and had told her husband about the charming young man.
Kaoru had gotten to the place where the party was held directly after leaving the office and Die had promised to wait for him before the door so that they could go inside together. But now the young Niikura was already waiting for half an hour and there was no sign of his husband. He had called him at least twenty times, but always only got to talk to the mailbox. Finally, Kaoru went in, plotting a plan how to punish Die best once he got a hold of him.
The host, Minoru Watanabe, appeared almost instantly when Kaoru stepped into the room, making a delighted sound as he recognized the young businessman. He instantly bowed lightly before offering his hand for a handshake, smiling politely at his guest. "Glad to see you here, Niikura. My wife has been more than enthusiastic to get to talk to your spouse again. Speaking of which," He gave a glance around, "where is he?"
Kaoru tensed and gave a frown. What should he say? If he said that Die was sick and the redhead still appeared there some time later, he would have to face a couple of very uncomfortable questions. So he went with half of the truth first, giving a small shrug. "To be honest, I have no idea. He was supposed to meet me here because I was in the office until six, but now I'm a bit worried." He tried to adjust his expression so that he did look as if he was wondering what could have happened to make his husband be this late while inwardly he was fuming.
"Oh, I hope that nothing bad has happened at least." Watanabe shrugged a bit, looking honestly worried even when he went on. "My wife will be more than disappointed to hear he's not here though." He had had to listen to his wife go on and on about how charming the redhead had been for hours, and truth to be told he had expected the man to appear there since it would've made his wife happy and things nicer for him at home.
"I will give him a call and see. Maybe he is just stuck in traffic." Indeed, Kaoru was a bit pale as he dug out his mobile phone and dialled the number of his husband. Of course the colour of his face only had its origin in the boiling anger inside him and nothing more. Again, he only reached the mailbox, but pretended to talk to his husband.
After a moment, he turned back to his host, giving him a weary smile. "Daisuke is deeply sorry that he can't be here tonight, but he woke up today with a huge fever and couldn't get rid of it yet." As he saw Watanabe's face turn into a half compassionate, half disappointed expression, he quickly added. "But we will make it up to the missed meeting by inviting your wife and you to dinner to our place." With a wink, he added. "So that the two can continue their conversation."
That made the man's expression turn into a smile again, and he looked unmistakeably pleased. "Thank you. I'm certain that my wife will love the suggestion." They kept on talking about the topic for a short while longer still, while Watanabe guided Kaoru into the room and even introduced him to some people he didn't know personally. For a while Kaoru thought that this would get easier at least, and that he at least didn't need to pretend being all lovey-dovey with his husband. Soon he noticed though that it wasn't exactly a plus after all. Everyone asked him where his stunning husband was, and he had to explain the same story over and over again, hoping with all his might that Die wouldn't appear there later that night and spoil his perfect explanation with it.
It was a quite boring party moreover and Kaoru didn't really get to talk to the really important people as everybody indeed seemed to just want to enjoy the evening and not talk about business. This was very unusual for such a party but it meant that the young Niikura had to 'amuse' himself and a place like that wasn't exactly where he would do something like that. The more minutes passed by, the angrier he got at his husband, thinking Die would have deserved to suffer from the boredom together with him.
He was brutally interrupted in his thoughts though when the host's wife asked him for a dance and from that moment on, he had to dance with almost every wife, male and female, and every single one of them asked him about his husband again. Some were even making allusions just like his co-worker had done in the bar some time ago, only not as bluntly.
Still the words were enough to make his thoughts wander around, especially since he was so totally bored and still physically frustrated. Thankfully – in his own opinion at least – he was far too angry right now to start fantasizing about his husband, stunning or not. He kept on thinking about how to make Die regret this the best, planned what he would yell at him and even imagined how he would simply punch his lights out. He knew he wouldn't go that far, but hey, it was at least a nice thought.
It felt like the party would never ever end, but finally after long endless moments it was a decent enough time to leave. He used Die's 'condition' as an excuse still, telling he was worried about his young husband who had gotten sick so suddenly, and wanted to check on him. No one objected on that and instead he got dozens of 'get well' wishes to deliver to the redhead, along with greetings and warm thoughts from both some businessmen and especially from their wives. His faked smile never faltered, and only when he was already sitting in the car he allowed his expression to change and released a huge frustrated growl.
Focusing on not losing the anger on the way, he got home where he instantly released some of his frustration by yelling at the maid. He told the servants to leave him alone and get the heck out of his way. Die wasn't at home though and so Kaoru had to wait until he would be able to get out his frustration. Grimly, he slumped down on the couch in the almost dark living-room, waiting for his husband while he went over the whole evening in his head again and again just not to lose his drive and keep his blood boiling.
Finally, he was almost two in the morning, he heard the key turn in the lock. Almost patiently, he waited until Die entered the house, took off his shoes and came into the living-room. Before the redhead had the chance to prepare himself, Kaoru switched on the ceiling lights. He had gotten up from the couch when he had heard Die already and then only had waited beside the switch. "Do you have an idea what day it is?" he asked, his voice threateningly calm. Not bothering to wait for an answer, he went on. "It was fucking Watanabe's birthday and YOU promised to meet me before the door at seven. Where were you? Are you too dumb to even play that part of our marriage right?"
As the lights had been switched on all suddenly Die had startled, automatically raising his hand up to shield his eyes from the brightness. When he heard the words his arms dropped to the side though, and he met the other man's gaze straight, unfaltering. "I am too dumb? I fucking got you more meetings, deals and happy business partners than you could've gotten in your whole life!" His voice was rising only slightly though, as he tried to keep his calm. "Why didn't you deal with it like a man and tell them I'm sick and can't come?"
"What the fuck are you thinking I did? I'm perfectly able to deal with situations like that but it doesn't mean I approve of them in any way. You are a piece of unreliable, lazy, selfish shit and I've had it with you. I'm working my ass off day in and day out and you only have to be the smiling girl at my side. Where's the problem?" Kaoru was so angry, but he got even angrier when he noticed that Die looked stunning this evening and he couldn't turn his gaze away from those full lips which were forming such nasty words. All because he hadn't been there this evening to keep the frustrated housewives company and their imagination got wild and they had to bother him with the details of their sexlife which didn't exist.
"Doesn't sound like you're perfectly able to deal with the situation since if you would be, you wouldn't stand there and yell at me because you just had a shitty evening due to your own incompetence!" The redhead's eyes were sparkling angrily which somehow even underlined his attractiveness and his huge, beautiful eyes. He was completely fuming already at the mention of him being the smiling girl, and it made his fiery temper explode. "Just TRY being the wife for once and you notice it's something you could never do. Don't come preaching to me about your hard work while you don't know a shit about how hard I work for you!"
"How hard you work?" Kaoru gave a dismissive snort. "Before you talk about your hard life being the nail-polishing, hair-dying wife, you try to walk a mile in my shoes. Do you think it's fun attending endless meetings, all the statistics, the strategies, being polite to everybody, try to influence them to your own advantage and all these things? No, you have no idea, because you park your butt in the bed for almost all day until you think it's time to have some fun." Suddenly, Kaoru asked himself if this argument made any sense at all since he didn't even WANT to get along with his husband at all. No, he wanted to hate his guts and wouldn't have minded if he had just vanished into smoke.
"Like you would stay in bed for the whole day even if you could!" Die was practically yelling, no longer even trying to be calm and just allowed himself to let go and let all the anger that had been piling up show. "You're this uptight, workaholic jerk who couldn't have fun even if you wanted to! It's simply impossible, you're only programmed to work work work and I bet you even dream of statistics and numbers. It's a wonder you can even sit with that stick stuck up your ass." He had no idea how Kaoru always managed to make him so angry so easily, and he didn't like it. Not because he would've wanted to get along, but because he didn't like it when he didn't understand himself.
Kaoru's mouth opened and closed again with no word coming out, his hands clenching into fists, nails digging into the skin so that he didn't do something stupid. Finally, he only waved his hand and turned around, heading towards the bathroom. "Just stay out of my way!" He was still frustrated but didn't exactly know why.
Usually, he was able to deal with uncomfortable situations, even if they lasted for a long time, but Die had a way to make him lose it easily. Besides, he still had the images in his mind to which he had jerked off and this was a moment where he couldn't use those since they were only confusing him.
"For your information, it was YOU who started yelling, not ME!" Die simply couldn't let it be and so yelled after the other man, perfectly aware that he could hear him still. He was so angry that he didn't know how he was supposed to calm down, and furiously slammed his fist into a vase that happened to be on the table next to him. The expensive vase fell down to the floor and broke into dozens of pieces but he hardly noticed and instead stormed off to his bedroom, slamming the door shut loudly.
He had been in a fairly good mood before, but now it was all ruined and he blamed it all on Kaoru. Why couldn't the other man show at least some signs to prove he was a human being and capable of having fun and free time too? He was always either working or talking about work, and it already made Die mad although he didn't know why. It had to be that he was just annoyed by such boringness, right? At least he refused to acknowledge any other possible explanation.
Kaoru was facing the closed door, staring at it as if he could burn holes into the wood with his mere gaze. He was still too angry to go to bed, not yet willing to walk through his husband’s room into his own. Disregarding the broken vase, he indeed went to the bathroom, thinking a shower would be the best to calm down, get his composure back and clear his mind enough to be able to face a new day where he would have to see the other man.
Inwardly, he decided to have another talk to his father and he even considered going to a brothel to let off some steam. But why bothering to go elsewhere and pretend he was doing something forbidden when this marriage had been fake to begin with? He could do whatever the hell he wanted in that direction as long as no outsider got wind of it.
That realization instantly brightened the young Niikura's mood and he decided to do something about the sexual frustration at least. He couldn't change the situation with his husband, but he could make life a little better for himself that way.
It still took another good hour before he silently opened the door to Die's bedroom, slipped inside and quickly crossed it to get into his own room. Whether or not the redhead was asleep, he couldn't tell. At least he was lying there with eyes closed, his chest heaving with even breaths. Like that, Kaoru thought, one could at least stand him. Why did he have to be the devil in disguise? Such a pretty face, perfect body, charming smile and then a totally rotten personality. Something like that should have been forbidden, Kaoru thought while slipping into his bed to get some sleep as well.
