Title: You Need a Little Patience
Author: [livejournal.com profile] seinen_no and [livejournal.com profile] fonulyn
Rating: NC17
Pairing: DiexKyo
Disclaimer: We own no one, only our dirty imaginations.
Summary: Even before they got together Kyo had known that Die liked to drink and to party, but lately things seemed to be taking a turn to worse. It wasn’t that Die had developed a major problem with drinking or anything, he simply enjoyed parties too much to remember pay enough attention to his boyfriend, and Kyo was beginning to be fed up with it.

[livejournal.com profile] fonulyn: I think it was nice to write some DiexKyo for a change, since those two were the first pairing I ever liked and it’s still kind of special for me^^ heh, this one is a tad bit shorter than our usual ones though, not with a spectacular long plot but it at least has one :D Also, Kaoru makes an appearance as a good friend trying to help x) Give it a go and please enjoy!

And feel free to add our journal if you like the stories!
Plus, the archive.

You Need a Little Patience

3am. The red numbers on the digital clock were burning on Kyo's tired eyes. First, he had been watching TV, had told himself that Die would keep his promise and not party till dawn, then, he had been reading a book, but finally had grown too tired and now was just staring at the wall above the TV, brooding. He should have known that his lover couldn't reject the offer to go out and have a good time with some friends. Friends? Well, shallow acquaintances, but that didn't change anything.

The problem was that Kyo knew things wouldn't get better once they were on tour in the US. They would fly there in two days to participate in the Family Values tour and Die had already predicted how much fun it would be to meet the other bands and party with them. Kyo had nothing against the general thought. Well, okay, usually he more preferred to stay in his room and get up early to see some sights, but he did party, only moderately. Lately Die had overdone it and it had caused some fights already.

Suddenly, a noise startled the vocalist out of his contemplations and he turned his gaze first to the clock and then to the door. The redhead stumbled inside, obviously drunk but in a good mood. "I hope you had fun!" The tone in Kyo's voice was harsh, cold and one could hear how angry he was although he wasn't sure if his lover noticed it.

Apparently Die noticed it since he frowned a bit, furrowing his eyebrows and pursing his lips. He decided not to take it too seriously though, and after kicking off his shoes he got rid of his jacket as well, throwing it on the nearest chair. "Sure I did. You should've come too, with Shinji it's always a blast!" He was grinning again, obviously not intending on taking his lover's grumpiness seriously. Kyo had his moods, and Die thought this would just pass by like usually. "What's got you into such rotten mood? Something happened?"

"You do know pretty well why I'm angry." Kyo rolled his eyes and sat up straight. "You promised not to go out drinking every damn day and still I only see you in the early afternoon when you get up after curing your hang-over and then you're gone again, 'cause somewhere somebody always throws a party."

"Kyo!" Die rolled his eyes, looking offended due to the other man's words. Sure, he was partying but a man had to take care of his social life, and it wasn't his fault that Kyo didn't want to accompany him ever. "You're being totally unfair here. I'm not going out every fucking day and you know it!" He stumbled backwards a bit until he hit the big armchair, flopping to sit down on it. Technically he was telling the truth since he hadn't been partying every day. But five days a week wasn't exactly much less either.

"No sure," the blonde man snorted and rolled his eyes. "You only party unless we have to work. Tell me Die, what happened to 'we should do something together again. I promise to have more time for you' and all that shit? Was that just meant to make me shut up?" He looked at the guitarist straight, but noticed that Die's gaze wasn't focused on anything. "And you promised me not to drink so much anymore. I hate it when you smell like a brewery and there's noting going on in bed then either, 'cause you're just passing out once your head hits the cushion."

"I ASKED you to come along, several times. Hell, I ALWAYS ask you to come along and you never do!" Die was starting to get agitated as well, the slight irritation turning into something that made his blood boil and he simply saw red. "So it's all MY fault that we don't spend time together? Maybe you should take a look into the mirror before starting to preach me about these things. You're no saint yourself either." If he had been sure his feet wouldn't give in he would've stood up but now preferred to stay on the chair. Besides, his head was starting to hurt slightly and he craved for another beer.

"You're drunk," Kyo only said calmly. They had had this talk so often and he knew it wouldn't make sense to argue wit Die as long as he was intoxicated by alcohol. Still, he always made the same mistake and did it. "You do fucking know that I come along SOMETIMES, but life isn't only about partying and we've agreed upon taking it a bit slower for some time to see how it's going. Hell," he rolled his eyes again, "I don't even know if you love me or if you're just horny for somebody when you're at a party and getting drunk. Every single time I go along ends in us screwing in some corner or the toilet. I told you I don't want that and since I don't come along anymore, there's nothing going on 'cause you're too tired and wasted once you're home. You promised me something Die, but apparently, you're unable to keep it."

He had it with that talk, was tired of repeating the same argument over and over again and felt as if he was talking to a wall. He had fallen for Die partly because of his outgoing nature, because the redhead was so different from him, could make him laugh and come out of his shell. Lately though, it had become too much with the partying and the vocalist wasn't sure anymore if their relationship was based on love and affection or on having fun with each other whenever the opportunity was given.

"Yeah, you told me that you don't want that and how do you think it makes ME feel to hear that you want to keep a safe distance from me." The redhead snorted, rolling his eyes. That was a bad idea as it caused his headache to get even worse, increasing his annoyance as well. "Are you ashamed me or something? Fuck, you never let me even touch you if there's a danger that someone will see it."

The guitarist knew he was being unfair with that argument, since they both knew equally well that they didn't want their relationship to end up in random tabloids after acting careless. It had been a mutual decision, but right now Die was annoyed and drunk enough not to give a shit and just wanted to get back at the other for telling him it was his fault they were having troubles between them.

"What? I am sorry, Die, that I push you away when you start groping me in the middle of the street or when we're in some club with a gazillion of other people. Really! But I TOLD you that I want to spend time just with you. I was here all fucking night and if you had been here too and, what would've been a miracle, had been sober, I would've enjoyed the groping!" Kyo burst out, totally angry now. He didn't have anything against a shag in a toilet nor against a touch or a kiss, but he didn't want to see their faces in the news and they had agreed upon it.

After getting together, the first thing they had done was to talk about that and then to inform their bandmembers. He knew that Die was too drunk to think clear, but he was sick and tired to be considerate of that and use it as an excuse for his lover's stupid arguments.

"Bullshit." Die shook his head stubbornly, glaring at the smaller man from beneath some red strands that had fallen over his face. "You're just trying to make it all sound like it's my fault and I'm the only one causing troubles here." He released a sigh and even straightened a bit on his seat. "Can't we just go to bed and forget about fighting?"

"Okay. Maybe you're right." Kyo nodded, too tired to go on with the argument. He didn't wait though until his lover joined him in bed and lay back down, turning his back on Die's side. He was still thinking about a solution for his problem and asked himself if Die loved him more or the parties.

The redhead stayed in the doorframe for a moment, eyeing the other man carefully. He didn't want things to be awkward between them, and when he finally slipped between the sheets as well he turned to face the other man's back. After sneaking his arm loosely around his waist he spoke lowly. "I'm sorry. It won't happen again." He wasn't sure what he meant though, if he was promising not to fight with Kyo again or if he promised not to drink again. Right now he was too drunk still to think, and just wanted the mood to relax a bit.

"Sure." Kyo had heard those promises quite often already and although he knew he couldn't trust them, he still wanted to believe. Besides, he didn't want to fight either, because their time together was limited due to their stressful job, the touring and the endless nights they spent at the studio. Slowly, he relaxed into the other man's arms, even pressed himself backwards to show that he was willing to forget about the argument.

The next night Die came home in the early morning hours again, drunk, searching for the light-switch by tapping the wall a couple of times. The bed was empty and there was only a short note left for him. He sank down to sit on the bed's edge, reading the note over and over again until the meaning finally reached his alcohol blurred brains. Kyo was gone. And he wasn't coming back.

The following days were going by almost in a haze for Die. The next morning when he went to work, Kyo was there like normally, doing his job like a real professional should. But there wasn't a single glance cast into the redhead's direction, not a single word addressed to him and even when he tried to talk to the vocalist all he received was stone cold silence.

If their other bandmembers noticed it, they didn't show it in any way though, as everything went on like they had planned when it came to the band. They flew to the US, started the tour, played shows and travelled in the bus like every time they were on the road. This time though, there was an unmistakeable tension in the air whenever Kyo and Die were both in the room.

At first Die had tried to talk to Kyo, to ask him why he had left, but as he didn't receive an answer, he slowly grew more and more annoyed until there was a cold war going on between the two. Deep down inside Die knew though what had been the reason for Kyo's behaviour. He couldn't even blame him although he tried, with all his might. But he was hurt by the way he was being treated like air, and that served to fan his stubbornness until he was determined not to be the first one to give in. He still went partying with the other bands, often accompanied by Toshiya, determined to go on like before as if nothing had changed.

The general mood was starting to get a bit cranky though, and at one point when everyone else was out partying once again Kaoru addressed the topic, being left alone with the vocalist in the bus. They were sitting beside the table, had just finished eating and now both lit a cigarette, smoking in silence for a few moments. Kaoru was eyeing his friend carefully though, and not long after his low voice cut through the air. "How're you feeling?"

"Good." The answer came quickly, like rehearsed, but Kyo didn't look him in the eye. Another moment of silence followed, but then Kaoru nudged him with his elbow and the vocalist knew he was piercing him with his gaze. Finally, he looked up, sighing. It wasn't easy for him to talk about his feelings to a friend, but if he trusted somebody, then the older guitarist. "I've been hoping he would stop partying and drinking to show me it's more important to get me back. But apparently I was wrong. I don't even want him to just stop it, hell, it's fun, but I want him to choose and to spend time with me too. I never thought we'd end up like this."

Kaoru nodded. It was basically what he had thought was going on, but it was good to have it now confirmed from the vocalist himself. Offering a small, encouraging smile, he reached to touch his friend's shoulder. "You know how dense he is sometimes, and stubborn, it might take ages for him to even notice anything is going on." He knew he was playing it down, but couldn't help it. After a moment's silence he spoke up again. "You still love him?"

"Of course I do." There was nothing to mistake in the vocalist's voice. "Why else would I put up such a show? I still hope he sees why I don't talk to him anymore. You know," Kyo turned his head to have a better look at his friend, "it's like in school. You think you'll never understand maths and then suddenly it makes click and you got it. I hope the same will happen to him and he realizes that he does love me."

The words made Kaoru smile a bit, and he couldn't hold back a small chuckle at the 'maths'-part. He was more serious when he spoke up though, and one could see he meant what he said. "I'm sure he does. I'm just not sure how long it'll take before this click will hit him. Maybe he'd need a little push into right direction." He had been friends with both the vocalist and the other guitarist for years and had them figured out pretty well. That was why he was somewhat worried about this, since although the two undeniably cared for each other they were proud and stubborn enough to let the situation drag on until something would be broken beyond repair.

"And how do you think that push would have to look like?" Kyo appreciated the concern and thought if somebody had a tip for him it would be the older guitarist. Kyo himself had no idea how to show Die that he still cared for him; now that everything seemed to be stuck and their roles set.

"You ask too hard things..." Kaoru sighed, averting his gaze down and looking somewhat ashamed as he didn't have an answer ready for the question. Soon he looked up again though. "I'll see if there's a moment when I could talk to him or something." Maybe someone would have to ask Die what he felt so that he would have to think about it himself? That at least was the only thing the lead guitarist could think of right now. "And Kyo, if you need any help, tell me. I can't have my vocalist fall into depressions in the middle of a tour." He patted the smaller man's shoulder, offering a genuine smile.

The words made Kyo chuckle and he shook his head. "Yeah right. But I'm best on stage when I'm depressed, don't you agree?" It was true. The stage offered the best opportunity to get it all out, all the frustration and the insecurities. When the laughter had died away, Kyo looked at Kaoru again, smiling. "Thanks Kao. Let's just hope the stubborn baby gets it once." It was weird, because for him it was clear that he still loved Die and wanted him back. All he wanted was the guitarist to see that there were important things besides partying and having fun with friends and acquaintances.

"Let's hope so, or I will have to smash his guitar on his head." The lead guitarist winked, killing the remains of his cigarette in the ash-tray. If one asked him it was even heartbreaking to see how stuck the situation had become. His sympathies were on the vocalist's side though, and he hoped truly that Die would finally manage to see what was important. "Maybe that would make him see he doesn't deserve the patience you treated him with, not the way he's acting lately."

"He's so stubborn. You don't get anywhere with him with yelling and only patience does," the small blonde winked after stumping his cigarette into the ash-tray as well. "I would just want to see that he finally notices how stupid he is."

Kyo had no idea if Kaoru had been talking to the redhead after his talk with him, but nothing seemed to change. It was as if Die wanted to show him that he could party even more if he wanted. Stupid videos were coming up where the redhead told how much he liked girls, what a big rockstar he was; showing that he didn't slow down at all.

Outwardly Die was having the time of his life. Everyone around him only saw his bright smile and this redheaded guy who was fun to hang out with, always up for some drinking. Still if one knew him well, like only his bandmembers around here did, and knew how to look, there was this hint of misplacement in his eyes all the time. It wasn't fun anymore to meet new people whose names he wouldn't remember the next day anyways, to just get wasted and crawl into bed in the early morning hours to get a few hours of sleep.

Actually it was getting more and more difficult to get into a cold bunk all alone every night, and that was what eventually made Die think. He missed his lover, missed being with Kyo, and he couldn't have denied that even if he had wanted to. The vocalist had become such a big part of his life that he felt somehow lost without him. If it had been anything else, Die's stubbornness made it impossible for him to admit he had been wrong. Still, he caught himself thinking more and more often how he could apologize, how to fix things between himself and the small blonde again.

Kyo made it easy for him and stopped being only cold and one-worded. Whenever Die addressed him, asked something about the next gig or the sights in the town they were staying, he answered with full sentences, leaving out the coldness in his voice. It was all he could offer, the furthest he could come towards him.

To be honest, Kyo was already willing to just forget about the stupid argument, because he missed being with Die too, missed how the other man always managed to make him laugh, how Die had a tendency to come up with stupid ideas out of the blue and how he made him feel loved. Suddenly, the redhead's good sides seemed to outweigh the bad ones by far. Still, Kyo reminded himself that he wouldn't have much from Die if he now just forgave him and told him he wanted him back as things would just go on like before.

Die on the other hand had come to the point where he was willing to do pretty much anything to fix their relations. True, he had promised before too that he would cut drinking and partying, spend more time with his lover, and still had never acted on it. But those promises had always been made drunk, in order to avoid some nasty arguments and to just keep the peace. This time he had had the time to think about things more than enough and he was really determined to actually walk the talk.

He wanted Kyo back, and if what it took would be cutting down partying he would gladly sacrifice that. Now that he had managed to clear it inside his own mind it only left one problem: How to approach Kyo? Surely they were on speaking terms again, and he dared to ask simple things from the vocalist. But it didn't mean it would be easy to just go to him and say something like 'Hi Kyo, I've been an asshole and I'm sorry, let's forget it?' He would just have to find another way to get his point through...

Kyo noticed that Die didn't go out every single night anymore. It made him happy beyond anything, because he thought that Die had come to his senses and wanted to prove to him that he could cut partying. At least Kyo hoped that it was a message for him, that it was a proof that the redhead still loved him. He didn't want to push things though and kept quiet about it, just watched the other man carefully to see how long he would manage to go on like that. Maybe, if Die was good, he would go to him and tell him how proud it made him. But it wasn't time for that yet.

At one point Die found himself casting covert glances at the vocalist every now and then, as if to make sure that there still was something between them more than this thick veil of awkwardness and stubbornness that neither of them seemed to be willing to bridge. He was nervous, he couldn't deny that, but even more than that he was determined that he should try to fix things. He had been the one to mess them up in the first place, right?

One night, after a concert that had gone particularly well, they were all in a definitely good mood. They even were booked in a motel for the night instead of the tour bus, and the thought of a decent bed was already enough to put a smile on their lips. Die's mood brightened even more as the vocalist excused himself soon after, heading to his room. Quickly he followed, thinking that it was now or never. If he still pushed it he wouldn't ever collect enough guts to actually talk to the other man.

So before he could re-consider the thought he was already standing in front of Kyo's hotel room door, ready to knock. It only took a split second after he had finally knocked, and Kyo opened. For a moment, the vocalist froze, but it was because he had hoped for this to happen and not because he was shocked.

If one looked very closely, there even was a small smile tugging the corners of his mouth when he opened the door further, wordlessly inviting the redhead inside. He had noticed the covert glances, had practically felt them and it had been enough for him to believe that Die was willing to make it up to him. "What can I do for you?" he asked casually and turned to go back into the room.

"I... I think we need to talk." Die didn't know how to begin, and tentatively just started talking to see the other man's reaction. For a moment he thought if he should sit down on the edge of the bed but then remained standing. After taking a deep breath he turned his eyes up to look at the blonde vocalist. "I'm sorry Kyo." He raised his hand as the other man was about to say something, showing he wasn't finished yet. "Just let me say this, alright? I'm sorry, really am. I know that I've apologized before and I'm not expecting you to just believe me when I say I'll change my habits. But I really am willing to try. I don't want things to go on like this anymore, and I just don't...” He took a deep breath before finishing his endless monologue in silent voice. "I just don't wanna lose you."

By the time he was done, Kyo was smiling and there was this certain sparkle in his eyes. He knew that Die was honest, had seen him break his habits already. Besides, hearing that the other man didn't want to lose him caused this certain warmth to fill his whole being and made his heart pound quick. So he hadn't been wrong and there still was affection between them.

"You are dull, Die," he said laughing and took a step towards the taller man. "But luckily, I ain't and I saw that you cut the partying already. I see that you try to change things and now you only have to prove that you want to spend time with me." He raised his chin a bit, like challenging the other man.

A small, almost disbelieving smile was caressing the redhead's lips and he looked down at the smaller man. "Be careful with what you wish. Or soon you'll find yourself stuck with me 24/7." A part of him really even meant that since being apart like this had made him see how much he enjoyed the other man's company and he had missed it honestly. Slowly, like tentatively, he leaned down to press a soft kiss on his lover's lips.

It made Kyo smile contently and he wrapped his arms around Die's neck. He had been waiting so long for that, had been cursing the other man and then again hoping he would come back soon. He wasn't angry at him anymore, not at all, only glad that Die finally seemed to see what was more important for him. "I won't bear you 24/7," he chuckled after they had parted.

That earned him a playful slap on the back of his head, but Die couldn't hide his smile as he was simply too happy and relieved that things seemed to be working out. "Hey! First you say I'm not with you enough and then you don't want to be around me. Just try to decide." He winked.

"I want both," the vocalist stated firmly. "You and being at parties sometimes. It's the balance, you know." Carefully, he pulled his lover closer to himself and kissed his neck. "You could've come to your senses earlier. I already thought you don't love me anymore," he gave away, his voice nothing but a whisper.

Instantly the redhead wrapped his arms around the other man tightly, hugging him close to himself. "That could never happen." He was convinced that it was the truth, and that even if for some reason their relationship wouldn't make it he would still love the other man always, he would keep a special place in his heart.

The bed was right beside them and so Die sat down on the edge, pulling the other man along until he was practically sitting on his lap. Usually, Kyo didn't like that position, because it always made him feel small, like a child, but right now he enjoyed it and shifted even until he was fully seated on his lover's lap. "Don't say that. It could happen and if you hadn't come to your senses soon, I would've lost belief that what we had has ever been love."

That was something the redhead did to him, made him talk about his anxieties and feelings. He had missed a moment like that, but as there had been other things he had missed too, he reached out for Die's hands, placed them on his own butt and leaned in to give him a kiss. The contact had a sort of desperation even into it, something the first one had completely lacked as it had been focused on the feelings they held for each other, both in need of reassurance. But now it was as if the gates broke completely as they were trying to deepen the kiss as much as possible.

Die tangled his fingers into the short blonde hair, making the smaller man tilt his head slightly. There would be the whole night ahead to talk things through, and right now he simply wanted to get lost in the moment together with his lover. It was surprisingly easy to forget the tension and anger of the past weeks and to just go on as if this had never happened. Maybe, they both were still high from the good show that night, something that always made a good kind of pressure pent up inside you that needed a vent. If you had a lover, it usually resulted in sex, if not, you found yourself one or went to a wild party, dancing and drinking to vent.

But maybe it was just that they had really missed each other so much that it now resulted in both of them in trying to get the most of the kiss while Kyo grinded against his lover. Die was at least convinced that it all resulted from the long time apart, as he had missed the other man so much that it had hurt corporally. He let them both fall on the bed properly, rolling over until he was lying on top of the smaller man.

As the kiss broke he smirked instantly, tilting his head a bit. "Why don't you let me show you how much I missed you?" His voice was practically only a low purr, laced with suggestiveness that would be impossible to miss. Already while speaking he had sneaked his hand between their bodies, straight to the blonde's groin.

It made Kyo gasp and instinctively buck up. He couldn't prevent a shudder from running down his spine as he heard the tone of his lover's words though, couldn't deny that it turned him on instantly. He had almost forgotten how good it was when the sweet anticipation filled you, when it rose and the lust pushed aside all other feelings.

Contently Die noticed the reaction and kept on massaging the other man's length through the fabric of his pants for some time. He was no saint though, and was getting slightly impatient so he shifted so that he could work on opening the button and zipper properly. The garment needed to go, as soon as possible, but as he got the fly open he only slid his hand inside to offer some more palpable touches.

"Damnit Die, what are you doing?" Although Kyo had wanted to sound reproachful, it more came out as a pleading question. He didn't know his lover like that, teasing and only going for touches when he was allowed to have everything already. Usually Die was the one to screw you blind before you could say 'go ahead'.

"I told you." Die raised his gaze, his expression something between a teasing smirk and a loving smile as he looked at the smaller man. "I want to show you how much I missed you." After the words had left his mouth he planted a small kiss right beneath Kyo's ear, never ceasing with his advances on his growing arousal.

It felt all too good, as Die knew exactly how and where to touch his lover to push him high without giving too much already. It made Kyo writhe and squirm, but he was held down by the guitarist and thus couldn't move too much. "You sure you don't want to punish me for something?" he asked, fighting to sound casual although a few moans were already breaking free from his throat.

"I'm sure." Die flashed a confident smirk. "You'll love me afterwards." Finally he paid attention to the pants that he had been intending on getting off his lover already some time ago. He dragged the garment down, discarding it to the bedside completely unneeded. Gently he made the smaller man part his legs, making room for himself between them. He didn't hesitate anymore, but simply bowed down to instantly drag his tongue along the other man's hardness.

A low groan filled the otherwise silent room and Kyo arched his back. What had gotten into Die to go for it like this? Usually, he tried to get the most out of the time together himself and had never been the kind to go for providing one-sided pleasure. Maybe, he really had been thinking a lot? No matter what it was, Kyo enjoyed every second, loved it and just let go, giving himself up to the other man's custody. "I love you already!" he still had to utter stubbornly though, tilting his head to give Die a crooked grin.

The redhead answered the smile, but then as if to reward his lover took the head of his arousal between his lips. Instantly he begun sucking, moving his head down slowly. Maybe he had really needed the time apart to get things clear for himself? Right now at least he was simply grateful that everything was alright between them again. Besides, he enjoyed the moment to no end, drinking in every single moan and sigh that fell from the blonde's lips.

The pressure inside Kyo was pushed further instantly and he bit his bottom lip to stifle his moans as best as possible. The rational part of his mind was becoming undone, something that almost never happened to him as he usually remained in control of himself at least partly. Suddenly though, he grabbed a fistful of his lover's hair and pushed down without using much force. He simply wanted to show that he needed more already.

Obediently the guitarist took the hint, trying to relax his throat and take as much of the hardness into his mouth as possible. It was somehow new to him to enjoy a moment like this so intensely, but he even let go of the smaller man's hip, allowing him to move as he wished and take what he needed. Seeing the pleasure written all over his lover's face was more than enough as a reward, and Die wanted even more of it.

As he felt the pressure on his hip gone, Kyo moved upwards, first careful as if to test the weather but when Die neither choked nor pinned him down again, he did it again, more forceful that time. "Gods!" He had never been the one to talk much during sex, but the moment caused his brains to melt and he found himself pleading his lover to give him more still. And Die did his best, trying to push his lover further and over the edge, to grant him completion finally. He didn't even remember when he had last seen Kyo like this, had seen him lose all control and just surrender to the feelings. If this was all it took to get there, he mentally noted that he should do this more often, simply to make the other man feel good.

It really was as simple as that, although it wasn't only the pleasure that filled the small vocalist, which caused him to go almost crazy, it was also the knowledge that his lover usually didn't fancy this kind of play at all and only did it to please him. It didn't take much longer before Kyo's body spasmed and then tensed, the orgasm hitting him so unexpectedly that he didn't have the time to warn the other man anymore. But Die had noticed how close his lover had been, how he'd been teetering on the edge already, so it didn't take him completely by surprise.

Still he didn't even try to pull away, instinctively swallowing the other's release and even waited until he was relaxing again before pulling away. Kyo looked stunning like that, eyes closed and still somewhat lost in the pleasure. Unable to resist the temptation Die moved closer, leaning to plant a soft kiss in the corner of his lover's mouth.

It caused the smaller man to open his eyes half way, gazing at his lover heavy-lidded. There was a smile forming on his lips though and he tilted his head a bit to have a better view. "That is how much you missed me?" he finally asked, lifting his arms to pull the other man closer against himself.

"No," Die shook his head, chuckling lowly and allowing the other man to pull him close. He even leaned more against the warm body beside his, enjoying the moment. "I missed you even more."

I must admit I enjoyed this immensely. The fighting in the beginning and all that couple's-problems phase, their interaction, them being them - and being specifically them with one another, the chemistry. Really mature. Loved the end too and not specifically because it was a sex scene but because you actually added something new to the very-known-well-industry-of-bad-fics-out-there, the thing that Die never did this before to Kyo, and all that Kyo was thinking by the moment was what all this actually meant. It was a blow in the face. It was magnificent.

*added to memories*

I think you guys should write more Die/Kyo. You seem to go along well with the boys and to know their personalities enough to make it work naturally.

Wow, thank you! I just got to work (and yeah, check my mails x) and then read this. Makes a perfect start for the day^^

Actually, we really like the pairing DiexKyo (despite DiexKao of course) but somehow never got the right idea for a plot with these two. Maybe because lately we've fallen a bit for DiexToshiya. It's all about the mood, I think.

I'm really glad you thought that this was different from the usual and that their actions were understandable.
Now I really feel like coming up with a good DiexKyo plot x)

Die/Toshiya. Mmmmm. That's one hot pairing. I love them myself also. Hell, I love kinda all pairings in this fandom and, to tell you the truth, guys, I would love to convince to as many people as I can that diversifying pairings once in a while is also a good exercise for good authors and a provocation, as a delight and good example for readers and future writers of "how things should get done" :). So yeah, basically, I would love to see some exclusively Die/Toshiya too from you two ;)

Haha, well, there are some pairings I don't like and I just can't read anything including Shinya (sexually), but other than that I'm fine with almost everything. Though, well, I love KaoxDie and DiexToshiya, DiexKyo. Those are the ones I'm always very fond of. You know, fonulyn just told me she'd want to write some KyoxDie again, so I trust we give it another shot once^^
And we do have a DiexToshiya waiting to be posted, only need to edit it. The pairing is just damn hot :D

Die/Kyo again? YAAAAAAAY!TO FONULYN! *wiiide grin* I'm so happy. I'll calm myself down and patiently wait for you to update on near future.

OOOOOOOOOOOOH! You already have a Toshiya/Die??? O.M.G!!! *stupid grin plastered all over face* Die wants you two to edit that as soon as possible ;P
