Chapter 7: Bought Freedom
It was bright inside the room when Kaoru first opened his eyes again, a numb thudding in his head. He found that he hadn't moved at all and his cheek was comfortably pillowed on the redhead's small butt.
Rubbing his temples, he slowly sat up and shook the other by the shoulders. "Die? I think you need to work."
Mere speaking caused the headache to well up and he pulled a pained face. This day would definetely be hard, but luckily he only had two customers and one only wanted to watch him gratifying himself. Still not very comforting with such a major hangover.
Die stirred, blinking several times to realize where he was. "Shit..." This wasn't exactly a nice start for a day, waking up with enormous hangover, pants pulled slightly down and his butt still aching somewhat. He forced himself up though, buttoning the pants. "I suggest that the next time we do this we make sure the day after is free too." He grinned at his friend crookedly.
"That's not very likely to happen. I almost never have two free days in a row." Kaoru smiled as well and then nodded at the other's pants. "But you didn't lie. You got a fine ass there." He hadn't forgotten anything of their conversation, only the acohol had made him so tired that he had just passed out. "So next time, you better be sober when you drop your pants for me to examine your butt."
"I will have to remember that." Die winked, but he was so much in a hurry that he didn't have much time for anything else. After a quickly muttered goodbye, he was on his way to see if he had already missed something important.
On the corridor to the kitchen, he bumped into Kyo who had a bagle in his mouth. "Man, we've been worried about you. Where have you been?" the small blonde asked and when he noticed that the other wore the same clothes as the day before, wordlessly stuffed the bagle into Die's mouth. "Eat it, drink a coffee and then to work. You're late."
"I know." The redhead apologized, his mouth full as he tried to chew. "And I'm sorry. I kinda passed out."
"You can explain later. Just freshen up. Toshiya and Shin have coffee waiting in the kitchen, in case you need some caffeine to get the engine running." Kyo snickered. Although he was curious as a cat where the other had spent the night, they simply didn't have time to chat now.
"Thanks." Die ignored the still present slighty unpleasant feeling in his lower back, and practically ran to the kitchen. He managed to drink half a cup of coffee before he needed to go again, and the next time when he had a moment to stop for a second, was at the lunch time.
The four friends were sitting in the cafeteria, three sets of eyes watching the redhead silently while he chewed his food. They didn't make a move, didn't ask a question, just stared intensely.
The chewing slowed down as Die was beginning to understand that the others were staring, and finally he looked up from his food. "What?" he asked slightly puzzled, gazing at his friends.
Toshiya grinned. "Where did you spend the night? Judging by your looks this morning, it must have been worth it."
"I was just drinking, nothing more than that so don't get your imagination flying." The redhead grinned faintly, taking a bit of food into his mouth.
"Now I understand." Kyo piped up knowing. "You really spent the rest of the day with Kaoru, right? It was his free day. Tske, tske, Die," the blonde shook his head teasing, "I gave you off to sleep and not to get wasted."
"I'm sorry. But it was relaxing anyways." Die shrugged a bit. "Besides, he needed company too."
"Yeah, so you sacrificed yourself nobly," Toshiya remarked smirking. "But you could've told us at least that you'd stay away. We were really worried and I was angry because I thought you went out to hit some clubs without me."
"You know I could never do that." The redhead gave his friend his brightest smile. "Besides, I didn't even know myself that I would stay there that late. I wasn't supposed to just pass out like that."
"Just survive the day and try to get to bed early," Shinya suggested, a smug smile dancing on his lips.
"Yeah, he's right." Toshiya and Kyo agreed one-mouthed. The rest of the dinner went by with less talk, because Die was really tired and hung-over while the rest of them were focused on eating quickly before they had to get back to work.
The day was hectic and Die barely had the time to have a short break for coffee in between. He didn't even remember the last time he needed to run like this, as this day everything seemed to go wrong somehow. Finally, in the evening, he made it to bed, falling asleep almost as soon as his head hit the pillow.
His sore butt became better the next days and whenever he spent time with Kaoru, they both were laughing about them passing out in the middle of the night. It had been a completely new experience for the purple-haired man to just spend the evening with a friend like this; with somebody who didn't expect anything from him, where he could just be himself.
Toshiya was, of course, bugging Die for more information about said evening, but had to give up since his friend wasn't willing to tell him much. They kept on collecting information and Toshiya already began to file them and to bring them into an order, even choosing topics for the possible chapters of the book they wanted to write.
There was a plan forming in the redhead's mind though which had nothing to do with the book or his job. He would have a free day in the end of the next week and he knew exactly what he wanted to do with it. He still hadn't used the money he had gotten for this one time he and Kaoru had done it for Kakihara to watch, and when he had counted the money, he came to the conclusion that it would be just enough to get what he wanted.
So the next day he went to talk to the concierge and paid for one complete day with the purple haired prostitute. He told him not to tell Kaoru who the customer was though, because he didn't want him to know in advance.
The man behind the counter arched an eyebrow surprisedly, but then only chuckled and booked the day for him. It wasn't a common thing to happen, but since it wasn't forbidden either, he had no problems with it. "Any special wishes you have?" he asked grinning. "You know what I mean. Something he should prepare for, something to wear or so?"
"Just jeans and t-shirt will do." Die winked merrily. "But let's make it a good looking shirt nevertheless."
The comment made the concierge burst out laughing and he shook his head. "Die, you're nuts. I hope you know that." For a second, he eyed the book in front of him and then the redhead. "Say, do you want to tell him yourself about his appointment, as usual?"
"Of course I want to. Thanks." The redhead's smile was so bright like never before."And yes, I know I'm nuts."
The man just made a handmovement, shooing him away from the counter. "Just go, before I call a psychiatrist." He had promised the redhead to keep this a secret and not to tell anybody. A hard task, since something like this made a good topic for gossiping.
The day before the one Die had booked, he went into Kaoru's room in the evening to go through the next day shortly with him as usual. He was already somewhat bouncy, but tried to cover it.
The purple-haired man had had a stressful day, because the first customer had already visited him early in the morning. But now, he was done and lay on his bed, a book beside him, a chocolate bar on the nightstand. "Hey Die, what's up for tomorrow?" he asked smiling and patted the bed's edge with his foot to signal his friend should sit down there.
Quickly the redhead came closer, sitting down on the bed. He didn't even take out his book where he wrote down the appointments and just turned to smile at the other. "You only have one customer who wants you for the whole day."
"The whole day?" Kaoru frowned and released a long sigh. "Gosh, that must be one of those filthy richs. Do I know him?" he asked curious. "And what does he want. Anything special?" When he had taken a look at his appointments the day before, there had nobody been booked for the next day and he had been hoping to maybe only have one customer shortly and then enjoy a free day afterwards.
"He's never been your customer before. And nothing special, just casual wear will do." Die informed shortly, nodding at the words.
"Yeah, and what else? Will he just come here and fuck me or what? Damn, I hate it when I don't know what to prepare for. And I certainly can't stay serious if I get one more who wants to wear diapers."
"Just relax and take it as it comes. You can do it." Die smiled encouragingly, chuckling a bit at the diaper comment. "I'm pretty sure he's a quite normal guy with no freaky wishes."
"I hope you're right." Kaoru sighed again and slid down a bit. "When will he come? I mean at what time?"
"A bit before noon. You can sleep in late."
That answer caused a blissful smile on the purple-haired man's lips and he stretched his limbs relishingly. "That's good. Then I might live through the day. Well, and I have off the day after." He lifted his head, blinking innocently at his friend. "You don't have off as well, do you?"
"Yup, for both tomorrow and the day after actually." Die nodded, smiling brightly. He'd been saving his free days for this.
"So care to spend your free day with me. I mean the day after tomorrow?" Kaoru's eyes were sparkling and he really was hoping his friend would just say yes.
"Of course." The answer came instantly, since the redhead didn't even have to think about it. He would love it as much as the other. The more they had hung out together, the more they had noticed they both enjoyed it equally much.
"Great," Kaoru twittered happily. "So let's see when the guest really leaves tomorrow and in case you're still awake, we can talk about when we meet."
"Okay, but now get some sleep so that you're your own charming self tomorrow." Die got up from the bed, heading towards the door. "Good night."
"Night." The 'own charming self' comment made Kaoru chuckle, but as soon as Die was gone, he obediently switched off the light. He was dead tired anyways and would surely enjoy to sleep in late before he had a long day of work ahead of him.
Somewhere a bit before noon the next day, the redhead appeared in Kaoru's room again, carrying a tray with a healthy breakfast as he knew the other hadn't eaten yet. "Good morning."
"Die!" Kaoru griped and shook his head. "I can't eat now. The customer will come soon and I can't possibly have crumples of bread between the teeth." He shook his head as if he was asking himself why his friend hadn't thought about this fact.
"Oh yes you can, the customer won't mind." Die just set the tray on the bed, forcing the other to sit down beside it. "And now you eat, I bet you're hungry."
"Hungry like a wolf," Kaoru admitted and eyed the delicious food on the tray, but determinendly shook his head. "Look Die, I really appreciate it, but I'm neither dressed nor showered. I really overlsept, wonder why I didn't hear my alarm, and I hate it when I have to rush. Still, the customer will come soon and I have no time." After casting another longing glance at the coffee, the juice and croissants, he shifted a bit, intending to get up.
"Kaoru." Die looked his friend seriously in the eye. "Sit down and eat. I mean it."
"Okay." The other nodded, already reaching for the mug of coffee and a croissant. He was too hungry to fight with Die anyway. "But only one and then I have to get up."
"You can take your time. Just trust me." The redhead smiled, sitting down on the bed and leaning against the headboard, hugging his legs close to himself.
"Why? Did the customer call he'll come later or did he cancel?" The question was hardly audible, because Kaoru had his mouth full, chewing relishingly and gulping down the remains of the croissant with a long sip of his coffee.
"No, the customer is already here." Die smiled brightly, not explaining any further though.
The purple-haired man nodded, thinking his friend meant that the customer was already in the building. However, he was hoping the time might still be sufficient to eat another bread with an egg and drink the orange juice Die had brought.
But after he was done, he finally got up from the bed. "Thanks for the breakfast Die. This was good, but you should've done it tomorrow where I have time. I think you better go now and I take a shower and hope I will be still ready on time."
"Just take your time with the shower. There's no hurry." There was a sparkle in Die's eyes if one looked closely, but he still didn't tell the other what exactly would happen this day. He made no move to leave though, just made himself comfortable on the place he was sitting.
"Die, you're irritating today. I know it's your free day, but I still have to work. So fucking move your butt." Despite his harsh words, there was a slight, if confused, smile tugging Kaoru's lips and he shook his head.
Not having time to discuss this further, he vanished in the bathroom to take a quick shower. Since his hair would never dry in time, he just didn't wash it and instead only tied it up. When he left the bathroom, naked, to get to his closed and get dressed quickly, he flinched when he spotted the redhead still sitting on his bed. "Die!"
"What?" Die looked completely innocent, just smiling at the other, not making a move to get up and away.
Kaoru only quickly stepped in his boxers, which he had fetched from the closet and then turned around, grabbing his friend's arm. "This isn't funny. We both will be in deep shit. You gotta go now, really."
"Why?" The redhead's smile widened even more, as he allowed the other to pull him up from the bed. "I'm paying a hell lot money for this, so I'm not going anywhere without you."
"What?" Kaoru gasped, his jaw dropping a few inches and he instantly let go of his arm. "You're what? Paying? You are....?" he babbled, his brains not really understanding what was going on.
"… going to take you out today." Die finished the sentence, the smile still in its place as he nodded towards the closet. "First we go get some dinner, so you'd best put all of your clothes on."
Still processing the information, Kaoru obedientely went to his closet, but turned around when he stood between the open doors. "You paid for the whole day?" His voice was somewhoat disbelieving, but he couldn't help that this realization made his eyes sparkle like black diamonds. He knew his friend wouldn't take advantage of him, although he probably wouldn't even have minded.
"Yeah, for the whole day. So you have to bear my company until midnight." The redhead grinned brightly, obviously pleased that the other seemed to like how things turned out. "But I promise that I won't be too annoying."
"You can hardly be," came the honest reply and Kaoru dug out one of his favourite jeans, showing them to the redhead. After receiving a nod, he slowly got dressed, pleasant anticipation filling him as he was curious where his friend would take him. Never in his life had somebody bought a day with him to just hang out together and it worried him a bit that Die spent so much money. After all, he knew the price.
As soon as the purple haired man was fully dressed they left the building together, chatting merrily. First Die simply led them towards the nearby park, thinking they could as well walk a bit to gain proper appetite before going to get something to eat. He was prepared to spend the whole day as Kaoru wished, and therefore always asked him beforehand what he wanted.
It had been long since Kaoru had enjoyed himself like this and he came up with a lot of things he wanted to do. First, after taking a long walk in through the park, feeding the ducks with a bit of old bread they had bought at a small bakery on the way, he asked Die to go to the city.
There were some stores he wanted to visit and when they were going through an antique store, the purple-haired man's eyes were sparkling with childish joy. Since Die hadn't booked a table at a restaurant somewhere, they were free to choose one and when they spotted a small traditional japanese eatery, Die invited him there.
They ate for long, just enjoying the good food and each other's company, both having more fun than in a long time. After eating, Die dragged the other to the movies, as he spotted a cinema which was showing movies throughout the day nonstop. After watching some sort of a comedy they headed out again, walking leisurely along the streets.
It had begun to rain lightly, but neither of them cared, only bowing their heads a bit as they were walking down the alley. Kaoru gave away some more things about himself, told of his childhood on the countryside, how he had grown up with three more siblings. Still, he didn't even come close to telling how he had become a prostitute and ably avoided the topic.
After some time they moved to Die's life and he told the other practically everything about his past. Although it wasn't that uncommon, he had still done a lot in his young life, had experimented with different jobs and so.
It was beginning to be late evening already, when he asked Kaoru if he was hungry again.
"Only a bit." The purple-haired man answered honestly and reached for his friend's arm. "Let me pay this time, will you? You already spent enough money on this date."
Did he just call this a date? But since he had no experiences in normal things like going out on dates, being a prostitute since his fifteenth year, he came to the conclusion that it surely felt like one.
"Okay, if you insist." Die smiled, the smile even widening when he heard the word 'date'. He really enjoyed the other's company and seeing him happy made him strangely content somehow. "But you will decide where we eat."
"Okay." Kaoru agreed and hooked his arm with the other's like natural. "I know an italian restaurant somewhere here. Or I knew it once. You like pasta?" After receiving a few hasty nods along with a stunning smile from the redhead, he led the way, trying to remember where the restaurant was.
They found it without problems though, and were lucky since the relatively small place still had free tables. They chose on in the farmost corner, and soon had delicious-looking portions in front of them.
"That's amazing. Those are real Italians running this place and now just look at the portions. This is not meant for one normal person but for three." Kaoru was beaming, rolled some noodles on his fork and shoved them into his mouth. "A la mama," he mumbled chewing with a grin.
"You're just supposed to be reeeally hungry when you come to this place." Die smiled brightly, stuffing food into his mouth. It was just as good as it looked like. "And I will definitely remember this place for future use."
"I haven't been here in ages. It's just not the same when one eats alone than in good company." A bit more serious, Kaoru added. "And when I'm with guests, I can't enjoy eating like this."
"Then let's take our time and enjoy this." The redhead's smile became a bit melancholy and apologetical for a moment. "I can't afford this anytime soon again..."
Kaoru seemed determined not to allow the mood to get spoiled and smiled sweetly. "But we could come here on our free days every once in a while. Besides, I can't tell you how much it means to me that you spent so much money."
"I don't mind, really. I had so much fun." The carefree smile was back, as well as the sparkle in Die's eyes. "And I'd be glad to come back on our free day once."
For a long moment, they were silently gazing in each other's eyes, but when Kaoru felt his cheeks grow hot, he looked down on his plate and continued eating. No matter what the future would bring for him, he would always remember this date, always treasure the warm feeling inside him which was caused by the knowledge that somebody spent a hell lot of money on him just to make him happy; money he didn't have.
They took their time in the restaurant, never wanting the moment to end, but finally they had to leave. Still they were walking slowly as they went back to the brothel, just enjoying the cooling night air.
When they were inside, Kaoru turned to look at Die, a smirk plastered across his face. "Do we want to risk drinking something again or what do you have in mind now?"
"Well, we both have a free day tomorrow, so if you want to drink then I'm all up for it." Die grinned. "Or then I could give you a massage, or something. Anything you want, this is your day."
"My day?" The other asked, the smirk melting into a blissful smile. "Then I want both. I want to drink something, talk to you AND get the massage."
"Okay, so better get your butt moving and into your room then." The redhead grabbed Kaoru's hand, dragging him along and ignoring the few looks some other people, who happened to be there, threw at them.
Chuckling, Kaoru tried to follow him, but tugged his hand. "Do we order the drinks to the room? We could just stop by in the kitchen."
"Okay, that sounds acceptable." Die changed directions and instead dragged the other to the kitchen instantly.
When he opened the door, Kaoru stumbled with his steps and flung his arms around his shoulders from behind in order not to fall down. He was laughing, but hushed when he spotted Toshiya who was drying dome dishes with a towel and looked at them as if he had seen a ghost.
Luckily Kyo was there too, sitting on the counter, dangling his legs. He had obviously spent some time with the young black-haired man and now turned his head, smiling at the two. "Hey, what 'cha doing in our humble home?"
"We just wanted something to drink, if you don't mind." Die practically beamed, his eyes sparkling happily. He didn't mind at all that Kaoru's arms were still around him.
Shinya appeared from the small storageroom that was next to the kitchen, looking surprised as he spotted the two. "Need something?"
"Yeah, something to drink. Rather something with alcohol." Die repeated, his smile not fading even slightly.
Toshiya had gotten a grip on himself as well and nodded, laughing a bit nervously. "Sure." After providing them with wine and stronger stuff, he couldn't deny himself from dropping a comment though. "So I guess you won't sleep in your bed tonight?"
Kaoru, who had eyed the redhead's friends quietly so far, shook his head. "Not if we kill all this." He nodded towards the bottles, grinning.
"Don't worry, I have a free day tomorrow anyways, so you won't be in major troubles because of me." Die smiled, taking the bottles. "Thanks guys. Very much appreciated."
With a thankful nod he turned to get out of the kitchen and to the first floor, expecting Kaoru to follow him. The purple-haired man only breathed out another faint 'thanks', before he followed him. Again, he hooked his arm with the redhead's, because it felt good to walk this close to him. The mere knowledge that Die did all this just for him, was willing to do whatever he felt like, made his heart beat quicker in his chest and caused a pleasant twitch in his stomach.
As soon as they were in the room, Die set the bottles on the table, before grabbing his friend's waist and practically throwing him on the bed. "Now off with your shirt and you'll get the best massage ever."
The action made Kaoru yelp and then chuckle forcefully. "You know, that just sounds too good." With one hand, he fumbled for the buttons of his shirt, while he pointed into the bathroom with his other. "I have some coconut lotion in there and it just smells delicious."
"Aye." Die practically danced out of the room and fetched the lotion before waltzing back and crawling on the bed. "Now, time for relaxing."
Instantly he poured some of the lotion on the other's pale back. Kaoru had closed his eyes, soft agreeing noises leaving him when the other began to massage his back. After a moment, he even opened his pants and pushed them down a bit, so that they wouldn't get stained and Die could work on his lower back as well.
"I can only repeat that you're a natural," he mumbled quietly, the always present tension slowly leaving him.
"I try my best." The redhead chuckled, working on every tense muscle he found until the other relaxed as far as possible. "You didn't get any scars," he remarked at one point, referring to the one incident long ago when he had taken care of the wounds.
"No, luckily not." Kaoru tilted his head to face the one behind him. "Thanks to your good care. I think without it, there would've staid some marks behind." He was smiling and finally sat up, deciding he was done. "Well," he drawled, tugging the redhead's shirt, "want a massage too?"
"Only if you want to give one." Die smiled brightly, but couldn't deny that it was a tempting thought. "It still is your day."
"Then I certainly want to give you one." Smirking, the other already began to unbutton his shirt, eyes locked on his own hands. "Espacially if somebody has such nice skin like you."
The answer was a low chuckle. "I'm pale as chalk still." Die didn't resist though, and laid down on his stomach as soon as the shirt was gone.
Swiftly, Kaoru climed on top of him, straddled the other's hips and sat down on his butt. "Is it okay like this? I mean, am I too heavy?" Tentatively, he ran his fingertips across the white skin and smiled, muttering with a slightly dreamy undertone: "Yeah, white but soft."
"That feels nice." The redhead mumbled after a few silent moments, during which he had just enjoyed the feeling as his muscles slowly relaxed.
"You are working too hard. You're all tense," the purple-haired man remarked and kept on massaging him firmly until all the lotion was gone. Even then, he kept on sliding his palms up and down his friend's back, enjoying that he was allowed to do so.
"You just need to give me this kind of treatment more often." Came the perfect solution from the other, along with a soft content sigh.
"You can have it whenever you want. All you need to do is ask nicely and say 'please' like a good boy," Kaoru answered laughing and finally let himself drop to the side so that he came to rest very close to the redhead. There was a short moment of silence until he broke it again. "May I ask you a question?"
"Anything." Die promised, turning his head so that he was able to look the other in the eye.
"Why did you do this? I mean, why did you pay so much money to spend a day with me like this?"
"I wanted you to have a free day. I mean, a day you'd really enjoy and have fun." Die smiled softly, the honesty audible in his voice.
"Thank you." One could see that there were more questions hidden in the depths of Kaoru's eyes, but he didn't ask further and only smiled at him. He felt as if Die had to hear the loud beating of his heart and it made him nervous. So he sat up again, got in tailor-seat and patted Die's butt. "I want us to have a toast. A toast to the best day I ever had."
"As you wish." Die smiled, got up as well and reached for the glasses from the nightstand, handing one to the other man.
"Let's drink to brothership first." The smile threatened to break Kaoru's face when he hooked his arm with Die's, bringing the glass to his lips. "To brothership."
With having said that, both downed their drink and Kaoru gave his puzzled redheaded friend a peck on the lips. "It belongs to drinking to brothership," he explained chuckling.
"Oh, okays. Good that you explain these things to me." The redhead had to chuckle, and he reached for the bottle to refill their glasses. "You want to get as wasted as the last time or shall we take a bit easier?"
"I don't want to get wasted. I want to enjoy the evening with you." Despite his words, Kaoru gestured for him to pour their glasses quicker. "But we ate well and I slept long. There's no chance I pass out again."
"Just tell me when you're getting too drunk and I won't give you any more." Die took a long sip from his drink almost as soon as he had finished talking.
The other followed suit and then laughed freely. "And what if you're getting drunk?" he asked smirking. "You said it's my day. What if I still have plans for you that require your full mental and physical presence?"
"Just tell me to stop drinking. It'll work." The answer came with a convinced smirk. "I promise to be really obedient."
"Die, there's one thing I wanted to tell you," Kaoru began quietly, nervously tugging his open jeans with one hand. "I am not a liar, but when I said I do the job for the money and for general hornyness, I did lie." For some reason he wanted to get this off his soul, felt like he owed this to the other.
"I somehow guessed that." Die smiled softly, calmingly, trying to show the other man that he didn't mind. "But I didn't want to bother you with it."
"I know you didn't believe that, but still... I don't want it to stand between us." Smiling again, Kaoru snatched the bottle from the redhead's hand and poured them another drink. "And now to this day!"
Thoughtfully Die waited until the other had filled the glasses before speaking. "Why do you do the job then?" His voice was soft, and somehow it was clear that he wouldn't have minded if the other didn't answer.
"Because I was never given the choice to do anything else." The answer was so quiet that Kaoru feared his friend hadn't heard it. But it pained him to speak about it, it hurt to tear open old wounds.
Yet, he wanted Die to know, wanted him to understand. "I was just fifteen when my father died and left us in depths. He had been a gambler, had made business with the Yakuza and brought shame to our family." Quickly, he downed another drink, but the liquor didn't have the wished effect, didn't numb the feeling inside him the remembrance caused, only burned in his throat.
Silently Die just shifted a bit closer, placing an arm on the other's shoulder in what he hoped was an encouraging way. He didn't say anything though, just waited if the Kaoru wanted to say something still.
With a tiny voice, Kaoru went on, knowing that if he didn't say it now, it would once eat him alive. "We lost everything, but then my uncle came and made it worse by telling my mom that she brought shame to the family, that we were worth nothing and when the Yakuza came to collect the money my dad owed them, we couldn't pay." Conemplatively, he took a sip from his drink, gazing into the distance and then continued equally quiet. "I have no idea what kind of deal it was, but I was sold, the prize for my mother and my sisters to lead a normal life again, to live in dignity without fearing for their lives." His eyes were searching for Die's, the gaze dull and shallow. "There was this auction and from that day on, I lived here. I can't leave, they would do harm to my family and no matter what has happened, I can't hate them. My sisters did nothing wrong. They probably don't even remember me anymore." Tears were welling in his eyes and he had to swallow hard. "It's probably for the best. Who would want to be related to somebody like me?"
Wordlessly Die pulled the other into his arms, hugging him tight. He didn't know what to say, how to react, but at the same time wanted to make Kaoru just feel better. "Don't say that. You're a good, kind person and anyone would be proud to be related to you." He spoke quietly, stroking the other's back soothingly. "And you don't have to spend your whole life in a place like this. There's always a way out." He really meant what he said, and inwardly even decided that he'd do whatever was in his powers to help him out of there.
"Don't you think I thought about this? It's not exactly fun to have sex with fat old men who act as if they own you just because they pay for it." There was a bit of defiance resonating in the purple-haired man's voice, but he didn't move an inch away from the redhead, only buried his face in the crook of his shoulder and enjoyed the soothing effect of his warmth.
"But I don't want to think about this now." He said determinendly after a few moments, finally straightening again and gazing into Die's eyes. "I can't change it anyways and I want to enjoy the rest of the day together with you. I mean, this is my day, right?"
"Yeah, it's your day." Die smiled, completely willing to move on to some other topic and forget about it if the other man wanted to. He was still determined to do something about it, but Kaoru wouldn't need to know that just yet.
The other's smile caused a similar one on Kaoru's lips. It wasn't easy to push the old feelings to the background once the wounds had been torn open again, but he had learned to live with them for such a long time that he managed.
"Well," he drawled, finally in control over himself again, "since it's still my day, I want to ask you another question. Why did you agree on Kakihara's wish to watch us screw. And don't give me this 'I don't know it myself' shit anymore. I can't quite believe that. You might be spontaneous and curious, but you're not that dumb."
"So you still think it was the dumbest thing on earth?" Die chuckled a tiny bit, averting his gaze. He was silent for a moment, before speaking up. "I guess, I wanted to know how it would be. And I wanted to know how it would be" he turned to look the other straight in the eye "with you."
The smile on Kaoru's face widened and he even blushed a bit. "Thank you. That's somehow-," he thought for a second and then went on, "flattering." Chuckling, he added, "But you're still dumb. I stick to that."
"I know I am." Die admitted with a small nod. "But I suffered from the dumbness already, so you don't need to remind me."
"I'm sorry." Almost lovingly, Kaoru ran his hand through the other's hair. "I didn't want to be this hard on you. But I had to..."
"I'm not blaming you. And it was nothing I couldn't live through." The redhead smiled, sighing a bit. He really meant it though, didn't blame anything else but his own thoughtlessness.
The statement earned him a hug though. "Thanks." Accidentally, Kaoru's eyes were peeking at the clock and when he leaned back again, he chuckled. "My day will now only last half an hour and I want to give it to you. Tell me what you want to do with it, ask whatever you want to know," he offered generously.
"Would you believe me if I told you there's no questions on my mind I'd want to ask right now?" Die laughed softly, looking the purple-haired man in the eye.
"I would." Kaoru nodded smiling. "But then you need to think about whatelse you want to do with that half an hour. Let me tell you," he dropped his voice to a conspiratorial whisper, "it's expensive. I know that."
"You know, I wasn't that dumb after all." The redhead looked almost triumphant. "If I hadn't agreed on the... you know, the show, I would've never been able to afford this day. And it would've been a pity."
"You used all that money on this day?" The realization again caused a weird feeling inside Kaoru but he couldn't quite place it. "Your virginity for a day with me? That could sound really romantic if it wasn't so weird."
"Well, almost all of the money. I still have... enough for a cup of coffee." Die chuckled, blushing a tiny bit for some reason. But the other's words were true nevertheless.
"Spare that money," the purple-haired man whispered winking, "I'll treat you for one." Then he spoke up again, even made a hasty movement with his hand. "But you should decide. Your time's running out."
"I'm awfully bad in making decisions." Die shook his head, trying to come up with something. Deep down he knew what he wanted to ask, but he didn't have the guts. "I just -" His words were cut in the middle, and he just stopped, looking at the other man closely.
"You just?" Kaoru urged on. "C'mon, it's not hard to take a decision and it's only me here." He smiled encouragingly, tilted his head a bit and looked at the redhead curiously.
"Don't know." The redhead averted his gaze again, biting his lower lip.

Should I be disconcerted by the word 'big' before dissapointment?
As long at it's all fluffy like this chap, I wouldn't mind there being no smut either :) And if it's not fluffy, then we'll see.
I'm happy for the time being watching Kao munch away, whatever that stuff is. <3 Somehow, I see him looking young in this story. (maybe it's because he's too macho to be a whore nowadays)
