Spread Your Wings
Chapter 3: The First Floor

They had some troubles in sharing the bath, but Shinya and Toshiya were already done. The two had early shift too, but in the kitchen, it meant getting up before four. At least they didn't have to work as long as the two others. Kyo's eyes were only small slits and one could practically see that he wasn't exactly a morning person. Wordlessly, the blonde slipped into the bathroom before Die had the chance and the next second, one heard water rush.

Die just tried to fight sleep and sat on the edge of the bed, waiting for his turn to get into the bathroom. He knew he would get used to this eventually, but now it felt like almost too much, because for the past weeks he had been able to sleep as long as he wanted to, being unemployed.

This morning didn't differ much from the previous one as Die learned soon. They did as Kyo had explained the day before, sharing the work in the dungeon because four eyes saw more than two. Just like the day before, they stopped by in the kitchen for a short snack and a chat with Toshiya and Shinya, then got back to work.

Soon, Die learned to know more about the daily routines, learned about certain guests and the small blonde man brought him to the other wing to get to know the rest of the staff and the real girls there. From the outside, one couldn't see how huge the building was inside, how many rooms it had to offer. And each room where guests were expected was luxurious, kept in a classic European style. Somehow it reminded of some old pictures Die had seen about the Titanic, classy and perfect.

Kyo didn't miss his chance to remind Hiroki about his work and to make sure he wouldn't forget his duties again soon. As he had thought, the other had dated a girl from the other wing which wasn't exactly forbidden, but of course not allowed during working time.

Toshiya and Die were so exhausted throughout the first couple of days that they slept like stones, not even managing to talk about their plan of gathering information. They would just have to get used to the hard work first.

But soon they were getting better in their work though. They were both quick learners and willing to work a lot to keep their jobs. Although Kyo and Die still worked a lot together, the former didn't have to instruct the latter anymore, as he had learned to deal with unusual situations quickly.

Die didn't get to the first floor many times, but there were a few occasions when someone asked him to bring something there and he always kept his eyes open in case he would see Kaoru. He managed to see him a few times, but almost always from afar, just gaining a glimpse at his almost ethereal form as he was walking along the corridor.

One morning was different, because there seemed to be a huge uproar amongst the staff members and since Kyo seemed to be their leader and speaker, he tried to find out what was wrong. "Die, come here," the blonde beckoned him, a serious expression on his face.

Instantly Die made his way closer, looking like one big questionmark. "What's going on here?" He was totally lost, not having a slightlest idea what the uproar was all about.

"Hiroki is gone. I have no idea if he just left or got fired, but fact is, we need somebody upstairs. And," Kyo smiled smugly, "I thought you might like to take the job. You've learned everything in such a short amount of time, work without needing instructions and such. I think you're the best for this and since I'm kinda in charge, I wanted to offer it to you first."

"Really?" There was a surprised, but pleased expression on the redhead's face. "That would be really great!"

"You know that you're on stand-by most of the time and sometimes will have to get up in the middle of the night even if you just slept an hour only?" Kyo asked seriously. "But you won't be alone, so don't worry." He really thought the redhead was the perfect guy for the job. Besides, he had noticed as well how hypnotized the other seemed to be whenever he was allowed to go upstairs.

"I can do that." Die hurried to assure quickly, nodding emphatically. "Besides," he smirked, "the payment is better so there I'll earn more."

"Right." The answer was an equal smirk, accompanied by a meaningful wink. "Then I suggest you go upstairs and introduce yourself to the girls. I think you only know Kaoru, right? There's Kenji and Aji too. Those three are your primary bosses from now on. But you'll have to help with the others as well from time to time."

"That can be done." The redhead was in an incredibly good mood suddenly, because he felt he was one step closer to succeeding with his plan. The book had been almost forgotten in the beginning, but as he and Toshiya had grown more accustomed with the work they had begun to work on it as well. "Introduce myself? Does it mean I'll just barge in and deliver them the news?"

"Well, seeing that we're one man short now and the work has to be done, yes." Kyo snickered. "Just go and do the necessary. Change the sheets, towels and so on and tell the girls you're their new attendant from now on."

"Okays." It was all the instruction Die needed, and he quickly made his way upstairs to take care of his work. The two first rooms he managed to go through quickly, exchanging a few words with the ones who were occupying them. But when he was supposed to go into Kaoru's room he was suddenly a bit insecure, and didn't even know why. He mentally slapped himself for it, and quickly went in, just prepared to do his job as well as he could.

Kaoru was lying in the huge bathtub with closed eyes. Quiet music sounded from a radio somewhere and he was humming along. Only when he noticed a whiff of wind, he turned his head, but didn't open his eyes. "Hiroki? There are some bloodstained towels. I put them into the plastic bag besides the laundry basket."

"Uhm," Die begun, not sure how he should begin. "I'll take care of them." He took a step towards the laundry, gathering it all into the large bag he had brought with him.

The strange voice caused Kaoru to look up and bend over the bathtub's rim. "You? What happened? Is Hiroki sick?"

"Hiroki's gone." The redhead answered honestly, nodding a bit to confirm his words. "I don't know where. But I'll be taking care of his duties from now on."

"Nice." It sounded as if the purple-haired truly meant it. "He was lazy anyways." Smiling, Kaoru stood up and reached his hand towards a fluffy towel which lay on the floor before the tub. "Wait a moment, then you can take this here with you as well." After stepping out of the water, he began to dry himself and afterwards slipped into a bathrobe, handing the towel to the redhead. "There."

"Thank you." Die took the towel, stuffing it into the bag with the other laundry. "Anything you'd need?" He turned to ask the other, prepared to memorize whatever he needed to bring him.

"Lube," Kaoru shrugged, obviously thinking. "Oh, and it'd be great if you could bring me some ramen from the eatery across the street for lunch. I love those." He smiled and made his way to the bedroom, flopping down on an armchair in one corner. "What does my schedule say today?"

Die didn't remember those by heart, but he had a small booklet where he had written them down as he was supposed to know. "Well, the first one is supposed to be here only around two today. So there's still time." He turned his eyes from the paper to the man across the room. "Shall I bring the food around noon then?"

"Yes, then I still have some time afterwards. That sounds good. Oh," the purple-haired man grinned, "and you will have to be here around one again to help me dress. I can't lace the corsage alone."

"I'll be here then." The redhead promised instantly, knowing he didn't have to attend anyone else right at that moment anyways. "So, I'll bring you food in some time then." It was still a couple of hours till then, and Die thought he would just have the time to bring the laundry downstairs and to fetch the items he needed to bring to all three rooms.

He was quick though and then still had some time to take a short break with Kyo outside in the yard. They had made it a habit, drinking a Coke and smoking a cigarette while trying to relax and get their minds off work for a moment.

The day was quite cold and the dark clouds in the sky predicted snow. The blonde had brought two mugs of tea this time, against the cold. "So, how was it upstairs?" he asked when Die joined him.

"Like I thought it'd be." Die shrugged instantly, lighting a cig for himself. "I guess the biggest difference is that there I need to remember a hell lot more things. Downstairs it's more routine and less specific."

"Yes, you're room-maid, nurse, secretary and best friend in one person for the girls upstairs. That can be stressful. But soon you'll know what they need. Just search the room when you clean it and when you notice that something's going to be empty soon, you refill it. Lube, condoms and painkillers might be the most important things."

"I guess it'll get easier with time." The redhead nodded, knowing that once he knew what were the most important things, he could take care of those in advance already.

"I know it will." Kyo smiled at him. "I didn't choose you for nothing. After all, you're the best here. Just stay that way and you'll be earning even more money once. Maybe they offer you a job in the bar or so. We'll see."

"Well, I'm happy where I am for now." It was the truth, as this felt like a victory for the redhead. He had wanted to get to the first floor, to talk with the purple haired man in specific, and now he was closer to his goal. He had talked, as well as Toshiya, with several of the first-floor whores they had learned to know, but he still felt like there was something vital in talking to Kaoru.

"That's good. So Die, back to work, huh?" Kyo was glad that Die liked his job. Not many people really enjoyed doing roomservice like that. Besides, not many didn't have any problems with whiping off body fluids or taking stained sheets to the laundry. He had no idea what urged the redhead on, but he didn't care as long as he worked well and kept his sunny attitude.

As the clock was nearing noon, Die went out to get the food for Kaoru from across the street, even whistling on his way as he was in an unusually bright mood. When he came back he went straight upstairs, bringing the food and everything else needed along.

Kaoru was just sitting at his desk in a small room next to the bedroom, his private room, and wrote something into a small book. "Good that you're here. I'm starving." The other whores didn't talk much to Die, but Kaoru seemed to like some company from time to time as he usually didn't eat with his co-workers and kept mostly away from them.

Die could count the words the other two whores had talked to him with his fingers, since they were always only telling him the most necessary. So he too enjoyed it that Kaoru exchanged a few words with him, and it added up even more to the fascination he had for the other. "I could've come earlier if I'd known." He smiled, setting the food on the table carefully.

Quickly, the other man closed the book and smiled at him. "No. It has to suffice for quite some time. So it's better to eat as late as possible." He reached for the spoon Die had brought and began to eat his soup, slowly, with relish.

For a second the redhead forgot what he had been doing and just looked at the other man, examining his features. But soon he snapped back to reality, clearing his throat. "I'll be back in an hour then, to help you dress and take away the dishes." He figured the other would prefer some privacy probably.

"Thank you." Kaoru's features didn't give away what he thought, if he would've preferred to be alone or rather liked Die to keep him company. "And bring some vaseline," he added after a moment, for the first time displaying a smirk.

"Vaseline?" Die repeated, as if to test if he had heard right. He grinned merrily though, still in an unbelievably good mood. "See you then."

The purple-haired man still smiled when he again turned his attention to his soup, spooning it before it could get cold.

Downstairs, the other guys had done the most important things already and were hanging out in the small launge, taking a short break. Some had gone to the cafeteria though, such as Kyo who wanted to meet Shinya for lunch.

The redhead headed there too since he thought he could get something to eat for himself as well at this point because he had some free time. He managed to find his friends in the cafeteria, and went to sit with them for a while.

Toshiya greeted him with a huge smirk. "I'm proud. We're here for like what? Two weeks? And you already got promoted. Now you can once introduce me to this omnious Kaoru. Never met him still," he babbled merrily, not bothering that Kyo and Shinya threw questioning glances at the two.

"Hey, I work for two other guys as well." Die tried to calm the other's enthusiasm down, but couldn't help but to grin as Toshiya was babbling so animatedly.

"Yeah? What are their names?" His friend asked in a teasing manner before he shoved a huge bite of meat into his mouth. He still marvelled the fact that they got to eat meat every day and couldn't get enough of it. But he was working hard in the kitchen, so there was no risk of him becoming fat.

"Kenji and Aji." Die answered only a split second later. He had a good memory, and it didn't bring him any troubles to learn new names. "And the former one complains pretty much about everything." He chuckled a bit, ignoring the slightly weird glances the conversation earned from Kyo and Shinya.

"Kenji is a diva, and a self-righteous bitch," the blonde stated nodding. "He thinks he's some kind of princess and can order anybody around."

Toshiya was still grinning. "Good memory, huh? You're amazing, Die."

"Hey, it was only three names to learn. I'm not that good." The redhead tried to shrug it off, but knowing his friend he might not let the topic drop like that. "Aji seems okay though. But he still keeps a fair distance."

"Yeah," Toshiya drawled, the smirk widening, "but of course Kaoru is different, ne?"

Kyo again interfered. "He is. He doesn't seem to belong here. Too intelligent, too kind for a place like this."

"Yeah, he's nice." Shinya nodded to confirm the words as well. "I don't know him much, but I've talked to him a couple of times and he's somehow different than the others."

Die listened silently, agreeing with the words but didn't say anything himself though.

"Anyhow," the blackhaired waved aside, "at least one of us is now making big money. Beware Die, soon you'll be a big shot, maybe even own your own brothel. Don't forget about your old friend then." It was only a joke of course, a habit of Toshiya to fill the unfomfortable silences and keep a conversation from becoming too serious if he didn't want it.

"Of course I won't forget you," Die winked at his friend. "I'll offer you a job there. That's the least I can do." He was relieved that the situation seemed to relax and that he wouldn't need to start explaining why his friend was teasing him with Kaoru in spesific.

"Yeah, probably as the liftboy." Toshiya laughed whole-heartedly and reached for the pudding he had organized for himself. "With a wage too less to live and too much to die."

"Exactly. Or then I'd make you the one who cleans the toilets." The redhead shrugged, stuffing some food into his mouth.

"As long as I'm not becoming your first and only whore," the other winked chuckling. "I think my mother would be utterly disappointed and cry herself to sleep." The funny thing was that Toshiya had no contact to his family anymore and he was an only child, had lied when he had said that he had six siblings.

"Don't worry. I need something more attractive than you." Die looked up from his food, winking. He was fully aware that his friend was indeed a good looking man, but he couldn't help but to tease him with this as he was given the opportunity.

Kyo snickered and winked at Shinya. They both knew this was just two good friends teasing each other. Toshiya's smile instead had made way for a believable pout. "Who says that I'd like something bony like you?"

"Don't even try to deny it." The redhead didn't even cast a glance at his friend anymore, fully concentrating on the food. "I know you would."

"Well, first you get filthy rich and then we'll see." The young black-haired man stated snickering and leaned back in his chair. But Shinya already stood up. "Sorry, we have to leave already, because we need to prepare a special dinner for some guests."

Die took a look at the clock, and startled as he noticed it was already around one. They had eaten longer than he had thought. "Gosh, I need to run!" He practically jumped up from his seat.

Kyo was used to these kind of interruptions and simply nodded, not making a move to follow the redhead. Working here also meant breaking nice moments and sacrificing free time.

Hurriedly the redhead made his way to the first floor and wasn't that much too late as he finally stepped into Kaoru's room. He spotted the other man sitting beside the table, and instantly smiled at him. "I'm sorry I'm a bit late."

"It's okay." There was this certain tension in the air, as if one dove into another world once one entered this room. There were practically no technical divices, at least not to be seen, which made it easy to imagine one was stepping through time into the past.

Kaoru closed the small book in which he had written again and stood up. "I'm not eager to get into this corsage anyways. It's limiting and effectively prevents breathing." Smiling, he began to undress and put on a long leather skirt before slipping into the corsage, turning around for the redhead to help him.

Die hadn't done this before, but technically knew how to get it tight enough. He couldn't help but to admire the other's smooth skin, as his gaze brushed past the bare shoulders. He didn't say anything though, not before the garment was fixed properly. "Is it good now?"

Like testing the water, Kaoru took a deep breath and then laughed. "Can't breathe properly, so yeah, you did a good job." He turned around to face the redhead again, smiling. "You brought the vaseline?"

"Yeah," The redhead nodded instantly, his hand vanishing in his pocket to dig the item out.

"Good. Now polish the leather with it, but make sure that no stains stay behind. You have a cloth? If not, you can take an old sock of mine." The purple-haired's smile widened a bit as he looked down on himself. "I didn't wear this in quite some time."

"I looks good on you." The words escaped Die before he had even thought them through, but he really meant it so he didn't try to take them back. He had a piece of cloth in his pocket, usually always as he had noticed it was handy. Carefully he begun to do as he was told, doing his best.

"Thank you." The smile on Kaoru's face was still there, but there was something impish in it, something that gave away he was used to this kind of compliments, but appreciated them nevertheless. He lifted his arms to make it easier for Die to polish the leather and make it smooth and shiny.

The redhead would've said something if he had known what. His mind was blank though and he just worked silently, somehow enjoying the other's company.

"When this customer is gone," Kaoru began after some time, "you need to be quick with changing the sheets and setting everything again, because the next one will come straight afterwards, right?" Usually, he had a good overview of his own appointments, but liked to go through the order in his head again once he had a pause in between. "And the last is when? Eight tonight. He'll stay longer, but I hope he's gone before midnight."

"Yeah, that's right." Die nodded, frowning thoughtfully. "I'll be quick, don't worry about that. You need help with clothes before the others?"

"No, I'll manage alone." After the redhead was done with the leather, Kaoru turned around, eying himself in the mirror. "Looks good." He lifted the skirt a bit, to feel his shaved legs and see if they were still smooth enough. "I'll ring for you after the last is gone. So you can sleep meanwhile or have free time." He looked at the redhead. "I'd prefer if you cleaned the room and none of the others."

"I will." Die promised. "So, anything else now or shall I just come back when the customer's gone to change the sheets and stuff?"

"Just come back then." Suddenly, Kaoru leaned forward, whispering into his ear conspiratorial. "And I'd love to have chocolate then. Dark one."

It made the redhead chuckle, but he instantly nodded. "Chocolate you'll have then. I'll take care of it."

"Good. And now go. The customer must be here in a moment." Kaoru around and seated himself at the edge of the bed, crossing his legs elegantly. "Switch on the red light when you go."

"See you." Die offered the other a bright smile and a small wave, before he disappeared through the door. He had to go help Aji with getting dressed as well, but then had nothing to do for a while and thought he would just go to get the chocolate quickly since he had the time.

Tak, another staff member, was in the storage room as well, searching desperately for a special perfume for one of the first-floor's for whom he worked. "Dammit, somebody must've put it somewhere else." When he noticed the redhead, he flinched and looked up, offering him a faint smile. "Hi Die. Everything alright?"

"Yeah, no problems." Die smiled honestly, going straight to where he knew to find the sweet stuff. "Lost something?" He gave the other a questioning look, ready to help if needed.

"Tanaka wants his perfume and I know it was here. According to the list, there must still be three bottles, but I can't find them." Tak frowned. "I bet one of those jerks hid it on purpose."

"Maybe it just went to the wrong place." The redhead suggested. "Sometimes they put perfumes with the lotions, or even the shower gels."

"Oh right." Nodding, Tak went to some other shelf and instantly found what he had been looking for. "Thank god. Die, you're a genius. Thanks." After retrieving the perfume, he rushed out of the room, running since he was late already.

Die only chuckled at the words, but was content that he could've been of any help. He headed towards the lounge as he had free time now and now only needed to wait until someone happened to need call for him.

Toshiya was sitting there as well, stretching his legs relishingly on the small table. He had been doozing, but looked up when his friend entered the room. "Hey, come here and sit down," he greeted him smiling.

"You have a break as well?" Die smiled brightly, going to sit down beside his friend instantly. "Gosh, my feet hurt."

"Ask me. And I cut my thumb." To prove it, the black-haired man raised his hand, showing the deep cut on his thumb. "Today's really stressful and I think I won't get to go to bed before midnight. This one guest your Kaoru's awaiting today seems to be a really big shot. At least the foods we prepare for him are only the best."

He turned his head a bit, looking at the redhead. "I got some more information from the other guys who work in the kitchen. They know a lot, but it's of course not really what we're looking for. We need something like an exclusive interview with one of the whores."

"I know. I've only got bits and pieces thus far." The redhead sighed, closed his eyes and relaxed on his seat. "Everyone answers something, but not everything. And we'd really need something like one lead story there."

"Well," Toshiya drawled, his features becoming more serious, "now that you work upstairs and you seem to get along with Kaoru so well, what about trying to make him talk? After all the others told me about him, he is polite but usually doesn't talk a lot to servants and they were all astonished that he seems to like you even." His voice dropped to a whisper. "Rumors say that he asked for you, but Kyo refused to give away anything about this."

"He talks to me, but only a little and only polite chitchat." Die shrugged. He couldn't deny that it felt nice to hear that Kaoru liked him, even if it was only a rumor. "I can try to talk to him though. As soon as he trusts me a bit more."

"Die, c'mon, you're a natural born reporter and never had problems with making people talk." Toshiya slapped his shoulder laughing. "This guy must be quite something when he leaves you speechless."

"You would understand me if you saw him." The redhead just smiled good naturedly. "He has this certain aura that makes him appear somehow unreal even. And he looks gorgeous, despite that he's a man. But still he's nice."

"You should book his appointements. With you as his spokesman, he'd have even more customers."

"He couldn't probably handle more than he has. He needs to rest too, you know."

"It was a joke, Die." Toshiya admonished and pulled an annoyed face. "Don't take it too serious. We're all joking here, even the whores."

"I know." Die sighed a bit. The truth was that he had just been thinking that the purple haired man seemed to have a hell lot customers, and he would've wanted to give him more time to rest.

"Besides, I'm quite sure Kaoru could cut it down if he wanted to." The black-haired man nodded, convinced of his own words. "And did you see, his customers stay longer, so maybe it's not that bad for him. I mean ... you know, how often can one go in three hours?"

"I have no idea." The redhead shrugged. "I still don't know much about what happens behind those doors. I know that the whores do 'everything', but what that actually means, I dunno..."

"Die, don't play innocent now." Grinning, Toshiya stood up. "Sorry, but I think my break's over. Shin needs help in the kitchen."

"I'm not playing anything." Die chuckled, but then just waved lazily at his friend. "See you later on then."

"You should talk a bit to the whores down here. They can tell you what 'everything' means. And I swear, I was thinking about investing part of my money in a night with one of the girls. The real girls." Toshiya joked before he left the room without giving his friend the opportunity to answer.

For a long moment the redhead just staid there, eyes closed and thinking. Finally he noticed that it was time to get moving though and with a sigh heaved himself up to get upstairs, change the sheets and see if Kaoru needed anything.

The purple-haired man was in the shower, washing off the smell of his customer and preparing for the next one. He hated it when he had no time in between, but sometimes there was nothing he could do about it.

Wordlessly Die went to change the sheets, stuffing them into a big plastic bag before setting on a new set. He cleaned a bit in the room otherwise as well, and then just waited there for the other to come out of the shower to ask if he needed something.

Kaoru seemed to be a bit puzzled that the redhead was still there when he came back from the shower, but he smiled nevertheless. "No, I don't need anything. Just remember my chocolate for later." He winked and filled a glass with water before downing it.

"I have it with me already, if you want it." The redhead grinned, took the bar of chocolate and offered it to the other man.

Kaoru pulled a desperate face. He really liked chocolate and wanted it, but finally shook his head. "No, after work. I don't want them to think I taste sweeter than I do."

"I'll leave it here anyways." Die went to the nightstand, putting the sweet into the top drawer. "And I'll be going now, the next is probably coming already. I'll be back afterwards to change the sheets."

It went on like this. Kaoru had four customers that day and the last arrived shortly before eight pm, a tall, broad man with the finest clothes and the best manners. He was used to being served, but always left a generous tip behind. However, as it seemed he staid longer, because midnight came and went and the red light was still burning outside Kaoru's room.

Die had taken a short nap, but then just forced himself to stay awake, waiting for the man to leave. He wandered around in the building aimlessly, mostly to the hall and back, just waiting. Soon, the only crowded place was the bar and the rest became more and more empty, only a few staff members on the late shift left.

"He Die. Why don't you sleep a bit? I wake you when he needs you." Kyo offered when he passed the redhead by. "You're up since five. You need to sleep too."

"I slept a bit just a moment ago." Die smiled wearily. "So I guess I can survive. But thanks for the offer."

"This can take long, you know." Kyo smiled understandingly. "Just make sure you don't collapse because you're too exhausted." With having said that, the blonde left the hall and headed for their apartment.

After time just passed and nothing seemed to happen, Die began to think that Kyo had probably been right. He was practically sleeping while sitting, drifting off no matter if he wanted to or not.

But then, shortly before two in the morning, the light on the pannel in the launge went on and a noise sounded through the air. The few other colleagues were casting compassionate glances at the redhead who was just sitting there, overly tired. "Die, duty calls," one of them finally said, nudging him to wake him up.

The redhead snapped awake, for a second not knowing where he was. Then it all came back to him and he just nodded sleepily. "I'm going." He got up, already heading to the first floor.

When he opened the door, he saw Kaoru lying on the bed, face down, and nothing gave away if he was asleep or not. But then, he turned his head and sat up, the blanket he had used sliding off his upper part of the body. There were some marks on his perfect skin, bruises, but he didn't mention them and instead only smiled. "Sorry that you had to get up this late. I hope you slept a bit."

"I did." Die smiled, his tired expression showing though that he hadn't slept much. Slowly he went to the bed and took the chocolate from the drawer of the nightstand, handing it to the other. "Here."

The gesture made Kaoru laugh and he grabbed the redhead's wrist, forcing him to sit down as well. "Let's share. You have a moment, right? I mean, now that you're awake anyways, you can spare a moment before you change the sheets again." He took the chocolate and opened it, handing Die the first piece before taking one himself.

Smiling widely Die took the offered sweet, nodding as a thanks. "Well, at least now I know better and next time will sleep a bit longer when I have the time." He chuckled a bit, sitting comfortably on the edge of the bed.

"Yeah, some of my customers just stay long. I told you this was one." The other man said in an admonishing tone before shoving another piece into his mouth. "And somehow I'm damn hungry now as well. But I don't think I should eat. First I need to take a bath and clean myself."

"I can get you something to eat if you like." The redhead shrugged slightly. He wasn't that sleepy anymore, and somehow enjoyed the short moment with the whore, just eating chocolate.

"You could do me a far better favor," Kaoru suggested smirking. "I'm really aching all over and I will now take a bath while you change the sheets. And I would be grateful if you could give me a massage afterwards. I mean, I can wait till tomorrow and go to the wellness-area, but it'd be great if you did it nevertheless."

"Sure." Die smiled brightly, nodding to confirm the words. "But I warn you, I haven't done it much so I don't guarantee that I'll be as good as a professional from the wellness-area."

"As long as you don't make it worse." After taking another piece of chocolate, Kaoru stood up from the bed and went into the bath. He didn't wear any clothes and one could see that there were some more marks on his hips. Nothing major, just some minor bruises, but they stuck out against his pearly white skin like shiny dots.

Die bit his lower lip as he followed the other with his gaze. It must be a tough job he was doing, and somehow the redhead felt bad for him. So at least he would try to do something to make him feel better.

It didn't take long and he heard water rushing and then a content sigh when the purple-haired man slipped into the hot liquid and his tense muscles finally began to relax.

Quickly the redhead set to do his work, getting the dirty sheets off once again and putting clean ones on the bed. After everything was ready he sat down on the edge of the bed, looking around in the room. It was definitely nice, luxurious even, and looked like a room where someone filthy rich could live. The sheets felt soft, and slowly he fell backwards until he was lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling, waiting.

He didn't notice when Kaoru appeared in the doorframe again. With a smile, the purple-haired watched him for a moment. "Tired?" Moving filigree like a cat, he came closer, again only a towel around his hips, and finally sat down on the bed as well.

Die startled, quickly sitting up. He even blushed a bit, because he had the feeling that he had been doing something forbidden. "Oh, not really. I'm sorry."

"Don't be. I'm used to having strangers in my bed." The purple haired winked smirking and lay down on his stomach. "There must be some lotion in one of the drawers." His voice was muffled, as if he was dead tired as well. "But only if you want to," he again said softly.

Quickly, Die went to the drawers, finding a bottle of lotion easily. Then he came back to the bed, crawling closer until he reached the other's back. "It might be cold at first." He knew he could've warmed the lotion too, but then he would've had to know beforehand that he would be doing this.

"You're sweet, did you know that? Nobody ever treated me like I was made of sugar." Kaoru chuckled, but winced a bit when the cold lotion hit his back. "I hope your hands are not."

"They should be warmer." The redhead chuckled, moving his hands along the other's back, spreading the lotion carefully. "Besides, I think you deserve a bit of pampering after a long day of work."

A soft purr escaped the shorter man's lips when Die moved his hands so gently across his skin. "Thank you. And your hands are warm indeed." Kaoru's eyes fluttered shut and he relaxed considerably under the other's treatment.

"How long have you been doing this?" Die asked suddenly, hoping the other wouldn't take it as an offence. He was just curious, and wanted to know more about this man.

"Long." Kaoru lifted his head and furrowed his brows contemplatively, obviously thinking about the question. "Nine years." He saw no reason why he should hide this fact and keep it a secret. Still, nobody had ever asked him personal things like that before.

"That's long..." Die nodded silently, thinking about it. "So either you're older than you look, or you were young when you started."

"You're quite curious," the other remarked dryly, but told willingly that he was doing this since he was fifteen years old. He had taken his former position, his face directed to the side, eyes closed.

"You're planning on foing this for the rest of your life?" The redhead asked after a short silence, his voice faint. As soon as the words had left his lips he regretted them though and apologized instantly. "I'm sorry. I ask too much."

"Yes, you do." Kaoru even chuckled a bit since, despite the uncomfortable questions, it was nice to talk to somebody who seemed to care without judging. "Just keep on massaging me. Your hands feel good. You're more talented than I thought."

"I guess I'm a natural then." Die chuckled. He actually liked this moment a lot as well, enjoying the way the other's smooth skin felt beneath his fingertips, and the way they were comfortably just staying silent for a long while.

After some time of pleasant silence, Kaoru broke it. "Did you ever have sex with a guy?" He thought that if he answered the redhead's questions, he could very well ask some personal things of his own, curious about his past.

"No." The other shook his head, just answering the question honestly. He like owing it after all the questions he had just asked himself.

"I thought so." The statement was accompanied by soft laughter. "And what led you here? I mean, why is a clever young man like you working in such a place while he should be at university to get a decent job?"

"Well, I kinda got a bit sidetracked at one point and then ended up without a job." Die chuckled slightly. "My friend and I, we were pretty desperate and when we saw this place we just came in to ask if we could work here."

"Ever thought about working as a whore? I mean, you'd earn quite some money." There was something teasing in Kaoru's voice, something that made clear he knew the answer in advance, but still wanted to aks it.

"Not seriously." Die admitted instantly. "Well, I've thought about how it'd be. But I couldn't really do the work for a complete day even."

"You get used to it. I mean, when you're strong minded and secure enough to allow somebody to do with your body what he wants." A bit more quiet, with a smirk, Kaoru added. "Or do it to him."

The redhead laughed softly. "My friend already threatened to kill me if I even consider trying the job. I have to admit, I'm curious. But not curious enough to try really."

"Curious about doing it with a guy or curious about the job itself?" In a swift movement, the purple-haired man turned around and gazed into the redhead's eyes, his own sparkling with curiousity. He seemed to have forgotten about his tiredness and instead enjoyed the conversation and the openness with which Die answered his questions.

As the other turned around Die didn't know what to do with his hands anymore, and just let them fall on his lap. "Maybe both." He admitted with a small smile. "But basically I would want to know, why someone wants to do this job..."

"This, you will have to find out yourself. Among a thousand prostitutes, you'll hear a thousand stories." The purple-haired man explained. "But for the first, you could be helped." It was obvious that he was just teasing Die, turning around a bit further until he lay sprawled in the middle of the bed with nothing to cover him since the towel had been tucked away by the movement.

It made Die blush, and he shyly averted his gaze slightly. "So what's your story then?" He hoped that the question might distract the other man.

"I'm just overly potent and horny by nature and I am in it for the money. I want to leave this place as a rich man once." His shyness made Kaoru smile and he reached beside him for the towel, covering his bareness again. It was just for the other, not because he was embarrassed himself. How could he?

"Seems that you're well on your way then." The redhead smiled. "You're one of the most popular ones here. And I don't wonder why."

"You don't?" The other mirrored the smile. "It's all about the looks and hard work."

"And you seem to have both." The smile on Die's face softened a bit. He seemed slightly nervous still, although he didn't know why. And he still didn't really want to leave either.

"Thank you. You know you shouldn't flatter me too much. I might feel like owing you something once." The statement came with a wink, but there was true gratefulness laced in the tone of Kaoru's voice. It was something between them, something like primal sympathy which sometimes occurred when two strangers met and just seemed to fit somehow.

"You don't need to feel like that." The redhead answered, really meaning it. "I'm just here to serve you and make sure that you'll have everything you need."

"You're doing a good job so far." The purple-haired man nodded to emphasize his words. "But I think you need some rest. After all, Aiji or Kenji might require your services early in the morning and I don't want to be the reason for you being overly tired."

"I'm not that tired." Die chuckled, but got the hint and stood up from the bed, grabbing the bag of laundry. "Just call me when you need me again."

Just before he could leave, Kaoru addressed him again. "It's been nice to talk to you. Maybe we can have lunch together once?"

"That would be nice." The redhead nodded, smiling in a friendly way. "Good night." He closed the door softly, still smiling all along when he headed to his own room. The tiredness seemed to have vanished completely, but he knew he should get some sleep anyways.

The apartment was dark and quiet when he entered, but Toshiya was lying in his bed for some reason. When Die switched on the light, he blinked tiredly and yawned. "I've been waiting for you. Tell me about your day and the information you got so far. I will write it down."

He sat up and listened to his friend's explanations, taking notes. "Well, this isn't much, but it's something. I knew you'd be good."

"He's just easy to talk to." Die nodded a bit, lying on his bed with eyes closed, almost drifting off already. "And now that I got to talk to him, I bet it'll be easier to get some further information in the future."

Toshiya nodded and leaned close to his friend. He didn't waste a thought about getting up and was just too tired to answer anything. So he just staid there, somehow enjoying the moment as it was like reliving old times.

They both fell asleep soon, not even dreaming because they were so exhausted. Luckily, no one needed Die in the early morning hours and he got to sleep a bit later for once.
