Title: Spread Your Wings; Chapter 1: The Idea
Author: [livejournal.com profile] seinen_no and [livejournal.com profile] fonulyn
Rating: PG13 [goes up to NC17]
Pairing: Die and Kaoru
Disclaimer: We own no one, only our dirty imaginations.
Summary: Die and Toshiya are unemployed and penniless, even sharing a crappy apartment as best friends although they can barely even afford that one either. Across the street there's a luxurious whore-house, and the two have the brilliant idea that they'll try to get inside information about how things are in there to be able to write a book about it, to cure all their financial problems. Everything doesn't go as planned though, and Die is fascinated by one of the prostitutes like a moth by a flame.
Comments:
[livejournal.com profile] fonulyn: The summary sucks. But you have to deal with it since it's not going to get any better XD I promise that the story itself is worth it though, you just have to see it by yourselves^^ We wrote this a long ago, and now that I'm here visiting [livejournal.com profile] seinen_no we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to post it. I like it, and we even have the other three Dirus in it this time, although we tend to leave them out of our AU fics usually x) Enough babbling now. Just go ahead and read it^^

[livejournal.com profile] seinen_no: Well, like my hunny said, it's been quite some time ago since we wrote this story, but because it's kinda long, I never got to edit it. Only now when [livejournal.com profile] fonulyn was on this looooong trip through Europe and away from me, I had the time to go through it. Now we're both sitting here, eat sweets, watch porn and thought we could provide you with this story^^ I promise it's worth reading and hope you have fun.

Spread Your Wings
Chapter 1: The Idea

Toshiya based his hand on the window frame and looked outside. His view was disturbed by countless small raindrops which were gathering to finally run down the glass in small torrents. It truly was a rainy day, grey and no hint of the sun behind the thick dark clouds. The young black-haired man sighed audibly. They had just fetched the last carton from his apartment and brought it here, where the rents were cheap and the neighbors didn't greet you in the morning. He had moved in with Die, his best friend since primary school, to save some money.

Suddenly, something caught Toshiya's attention though and he rubbed the window to free a spot from the hazy blur his breath had coused. A huge limosine had stopped in front of the house across from them and a man, clad in a fancy suit, exited after his driver had opened the door for him, holding up an umbrella to save the expensive garment from being stained by the rain.

"Say Die," the black-haired asked without averting his gazes, "that's a whore-house there, right?"

"Yeah, it is." The redhaired young man answered without looking up from the magazine he was reading. It was an old paper and he'd read it through several times already, but he just needed something to distract him. "But you won't ever have the money to afford anyone from that house."

He stirred his tea with a spoon, before taking a long sip. One could instantly see on his face that he was totally bored of drinking it, but there wasn't anything else to fill their empty stomachs right at that moment.

Toshiya turned around. "If we just keep sitting here and do nothing, then certainly not."

They both had worked several jobs, had written small articles for newspapers, but never had been hired for long. Both were talented writers, but apparently no publishing house was interested in their stories, nor did they like their style.

Bored, the black-haired returned his gaze to the window and suddenly waved to get his friend's attention. "Look Die, there's this guy you told me about. At least I think it's him. Do you think he's working there as a whore?"

He fell silent for a moment to watch the slim figure, his hair covered by the hood of his jacket but not carrying an umbrella. He had his head bowed against the rain and the storm, rushing across the street and into the small eatery which was located right underneath their feet.

"Why does somebody work as a prostitute?" Toshiya asked himself aloud, shaking his head.

Only mildly interested Die got up from his seat beside the table, slowly making his way to the window to look through it. "I don't know. For the money?" He shrugged slightly, and had to notice that he really didn't have an answer to that question. "Or maybe the job offers something... I guess it's a whole different world in there."

"I get the money part, but the rest is just a big mystery." The other peeked at his friend from the corner of his eyes and instinctively pulled the blanket closer around his shoulders. Neither of them had managed to raise enough money to pay the electricity bill and it was terribly cold inside.

"But they get a place to stay at least. I think most of the people who work there live there as well." The redhead went on, sounding somewhat pondering. He had been living next to the whorehouse for long now and had sometimes thought about how things were in there, never getting anywhere with his assumptions though.

Another car stopped in front of the house, another rich man exiting it. "I bet it's for members only and extremely expensive," Toshiya mumbled and finally averted his gaze from the street. "Judging by the cars, it's only rich people who pay them a visit."

"Or then the other's use the kitchen door." Die chuckled, turning his head a bit to look at his friend. "Have you ever thought how it'd be to actually work there? I don't mean as a cook or anything, but as a whore."

"No, of course not." Toshiya sounded appalled. "Just think about it. They won't just do one customer a night, they have several. I don't think it's a job one should apply for."

"Yeah, but why do they do it then? Are they all forced to it, or is there really something they like in the job?" The other went on, an enthusiastic sparkle suddenly in his eyes. He was curious, and when he got something in his head it was impossible to get it out.

"I don't think they'd ever tell us, do you?" The black-haired man knew his friend very well and he noticed his growing excitement. "But I can't believe there's anything nice in a job like that. Who knows what kind of services they offer."

"Yeah, but that's just the point!" Die turned to look his friend in the eye. "We don't know anything about it. And wouldn't it be kinda cool to find out? I bet other people than me are interested in knowing that too."

"Are you talking about going there and interviewing the whores to write a report?'" Toshiya sounded interested. "If we make it good, maybe a paper will buy it and we can pay the electricity bill."

"That might work." Die admitted, nodding thoughtfully. "But you said it yourself. They wouldn't ever tell us. We gotta get inside to find out about it."

"They won't even let us cross the threshold," the other stated chuckling. "I mean, we don't exactly look like a million bucks."

"You mean like as customers?" The redhead arched an eyebrow. "Do you think they'd tell a customer about their lives then? I doubt that."

"See, that's why we'll never write the story, 'cause I'm definetely not ready to work as a whore." Toshiya sighed and peeked at his friend. Seeing this certain glimmer in his eyes, he shook his head. "No, and you neither. Die, you don't think about this, do you?"

"Don't worry. I'm not going to sell myself or anything." Die grinned brightly, stepping back close to the window and peeking through it. "But we will work IN there."

"In there?" His friend joined him, standing by his side. "You think they'll hire us for something? Maybe they need a bartender or something like that."

The idea wasn't that bad. If they managed to get a job in the brothel, they might even win the whores' trust, would be able to get some inside information. "Maybe we could write a book even. Depends on how much information we can gather," he uttered pondering. "Look, there's the guy again."

Die's eyes instantly found their way to the man down on the street. "Yeah, that sounds good. We're in a desperate need of a job anyways. So we could go there in the morning and beg for some kind of job."

He turned to look at his friend with sparkling eyes as the man down on the street had vanished into the building. "This could become something really good! Think about it."

"You're getting too excited again." No matter how hard Toshiya tried though, he had to smile at his friend's enthusiasm. "Yeah, it's at least a chance and definetely more interesting that working in some supermarket and store peoples' shoppings into bags."

"See? You still recognize a good idea when you hear one." Die seemed to be happy with the answer, and patted his friend's shoulder. "So tomorrow we're gonna go there."

"Preferably before breakfast, so maybe we get something to eat there too." As if on command, Toshiya's stomach rumbled. All they had eaten that day had been a slice of bread and they both were constantly hungry.

"I'll drink another cup of tea." The black-haired informed resigned and went to the table where Die had set the teapot.

"I can't stand tea anymore." The redhead laughed. He was in a really good mood now, looking forward to the next day. "So let's just hope for the best." He sighed, taking a long glance at the building across the street. "I guess I'll go to bed. Distracts me from the hunger."

"Wait, I'll come too. It's warmer than on the couch." Like natural, they both climbed into Die's small bed, crawling close to each other to keep warm.

"The only good thing is that the roof isn't leaking," the young black-haired man mumbled before he closed his eyes, wriggling to get into a comfortable position.

"Yeah, true." Die sighed, crawling close to his friend, who was the only warm thing in the whole house in addition to him. "You think they'll let us live there too if we get a job?"

"Depends on what kind of job we get. But we shouldn't tell them that we live across the street. Then they never shelter us." Toshiya remarked thoughtfully. "It'd be so great to live in there. I imagine it's a luxurious place. But most of all it'll be warm in there."

"Don't bet on the luxury." The other shook his head. "If we only work there it'll be much like this, but only warmer. And probably ten people living in a room."

"I don't care. It'll be warm and we'll get food." The black-haired said firmly. "Besides, we don't even know if they're looking for someone." Suddenly, he turned around, bringing his face very close to his friend's. "You think we should both go there at once? Maybe it's better if one goes first and tries to get the other in if he gets a job."

"I dunno. Maybe we could go both and just say that we'll do anything. Even cooking and cleaning and whatever..." Die frowned thougthfully. "I doubt they'd even offer us anything indecent anyways."

"Why? I'm not ugly..." The pout was audible in the other's voice and he gave Die an ungentle jab between the ribs.

"Neither am I. But I don't think they'd want two inexperienced weaklings to bring them more troubles."

"No, I don't think so. And it's better this way. After all," Toshiya snickered, "we want to write about whores, not become some."

"Exactly." Die laughed. "I bet I'd just freak out if I had to even try to work as one."

"Please let's not go there. I don't even wanna think about certain things." The other shook his head and turned around again. "And now sleep. We want to look at least well rested and capable to do a good job when we go there tomorrow."

"True." Die nodded shortly, keeping quiet afterwards. It took long for him to fall asleep though, as he was just going through all the things in his mind, hoping for the best.

His friend on the other hand had no problems in falling asleep. Drawn closer by Die's warm body, he snuggled up to him, sighing contently from time to time before he began to snore lightly. It had been a tough day for both of them, carrying all of Toshiya's stuff into the redhead's apartment. It wasn't that much, but since they had no money, they had walked the distance six times.

Finally Die had managed to fall asleep as well, but had still weird dreams through the whole night. In the morning he felt well-rested and full of energy though, and got up early, long before his friend to make some tea.

When he had entered the small living-room and spotted the hot drink on the table, Toshiya pulled a disgusted face, but took a mug nevertheless. His stomach was just too empty to decline anything that tasted different from water. Silently, he sat down and eyed his friend, who seemed so annoyingly awake already.

"Ready and awake enough to go get a job?" The redhead smiled brightly, taking a long sip from his mug. He had gotten even more enthusiastic about the idea, and now was hardly able to stay still.

"I'm ready." The other nodded, his nose curling even more disgustedly when he took the first sip of his own tea. "I'm willing to beg for a job, even if I have to clean the toilets, I do it. I'm so hungry, I could eat a whole cow alone."

"Me too. So we'd better be convincing when we go there." Die nodded instantly. He finished his tea, setting the mug on the edge of the table. "Now get your butt moving. Try to put some decent clothes on too."

"Yes, sir." Toshiy jumped up, saluted and went to his bag, digging out some clothes which would have to suffice for their plan.

It had stopped raining over night, but now was freezing cold and the smell which radiated from the small eatery caused a painful roaring in both of their stomachs when they were crossing the street.

They didn't waste any time as they headed towards the whorehouse. Only when they were standing in front of it, Die suddenly stopped. "Should we use the kitchen door or something? This looks too fancy..."

"You sure there's an approachable back-entrance?" His friend asked and bent backwards to see if one could go around the house somewhere. "Maybe that way there leads to the backyard." He nodded to their right and grabbed the redhead's wrist, dragging him along.

They happened to find a smaller door, something that looked like a kitchen door, and they thought it would be worth a try. "Okay, be convincing." Die smiled at his friend brightly, before turning to knock on the door. He was somehow dead nervous, a weird feeling in his stomach.

It took some time until someone opened and peeked outside. "You the delivery-guys?" the small man asked, skimming their appearance suspiciously.

"No," Toshiya shook his head and took a step forward. "We're looking for a job, actually."

"Oh, sorry, we're not looking for anybody."

The other was just about to close the door again, when Toshiya shoved his foot into the gap. "Please, we really need a job. We do anything."

"We've been looking everywhere, and we're outta money and outta food, we really NEED a job." The redhead stepped forward as well, trying his best pleading expression. "We really can do anything."

"I'm not to decide things like that." The man seemed at least willing to think about it. After taking one last look at the two young, thin and miserable figures in front of him, he sighed and opened the door a bit further. "Okay, come in and we see what we can do for you."

Relieved, practically beaming, Toshiya and Die followed the invitation. Indeed, this entrance belonged to the kitchen and they saw a bunch of young men running around busily, preparing good smelling food.

Water gathered in Toshiya's mouth and there was no chance for him to prevent his stomach from roaring. Die cast a longing glance at the foods as well, subconsciously licking his lips as it had been days since he last had a warm meal. He forced himself to just silently follow the small man though.

They were led out of the kitchen to an office. Wordlessly, the man nodded at two chairs and turned around to leave. "Don't touch anything," he admonished, "I'll get the boss." With having said that, he left the room.

"Do you see that? Is that gold?" Curious, Toshiya reached out for a marble paperweight with thin carvings made of golden metal.

"Tosh!" The redhead grabbed his friend's wrist quickly. "He said not to touch anything. Just stay still."

He couldn't deny though that he wanted to just explore everything in the room as well. There were expensive carpets on the floors, clearly old paintings on the walls and the mere furniture was something Die would never be able to afford in his whole life.

"Nobody will notice." His friend pouted, but put the paper weight back into its place. They were given enough time to eye the room attentively since nobody came to see them.

Minutes were passing, five, ten, twenty. Finally, when both were ready to give up and just leave, the door opened. The man who entered was tall, clad in the finest suit either of them had ever seen. The glasses on his nose were slightly shaded, obscuring a set of curious eyes which were resting on the two.

"So," the man drawled and took the seat in the huge armchair at the other side of the table, "you're looking for a job?"

"Yeah," Die nodded instantly, shifting a bit in his seat, utterly nervous. "We'll do anything, we're pretty much desperate. Cooking, cleaning, whatever you have the need for." He was so nervous that he had forgotten all the polite and fine speeches he had formed in his mind before, so everything was just incoherent babbling.

The man looked at him, the hint of a smile dancing at the corners of his mouth. "You know what kind of establishment this is?" he asked, arching an eyebrow.

Both his counterparts were nodding. It was clear, that this was the boss of everything, the man who pulled all the strings and Die and Toshiya were asking themselves why somebody of his rank was dealing with minorities like employing personnel.

"Actually, I could use two strong young men like you. Hiroki, my kitchen boy just quit and I need somebody for the kitchen. Plus that somebody extra for cleaning the rooms and taking care of the girls wouldn't hurt."

"So you'll give us the jobs then?" There was a sparkle in Die's eyes, and he couldn't help but to smile brightly. "We'll work hard, you won't be disappointed." Toshiya just nodded, confirming the other's words instantly.

"Well," the man skimmed their appearances thoroughly. "There are some conditions. You will have to live here, sometimes work at nights, early mornings, have pretty less free time. And," his eyes were piercing them, "you have to remain quiet about the things that happen inside here. Our costomers' identity is secret. Nothing that happens in here ever leaves this building. Nothing."

"Of course. Our lips are sealed. And it's no problem living here and working late or early." The redhead smiled faintly. "We're actually in a really bad situation when it comes to a place to live, so it's an advantage for us."

The faint smile on the man's lips widened. "I just warn you. Don't you think you could get away if you spill the beans about something in here." After a few moments of silence, he finally nodded. "Okay, you're hired." With having said that, he reached his hand out first for Toshiya, then for Die. "Either one of you ever worked in a kitchen?"

Both shook their heads, but Toshiya said "I can peel potatoes like nobody else. I have six siblings."

"So you work in the kitchen." The man nodded instantly towards Toshiya, before turning to Die. "And you'll do the cleaning part. I'll get someone to show you how things work at first. But you need to learn fast. I can't afford to have someone always looking after you." Die nodded seriously at the words, inwardly deciding he would be able to make it, and that he'd do his best.

The man made a short phonecall and then got up. "You two wait here. Somebody will come and introduce you to everything. And guys," he again looked at them seriously, "this is an amusement establishment. We supply services here. That means, whatever you're ordered to do, you'll do with a bow and instantly." Without waiting for a reply, he left the room, obviously in a hurry.

"What did you get us into?" Toshiya asked his friend, frowning a bit. "At least I get to work in the kitchen. That means I get to eat."

"You think they'll let me starve to death then?" Die looked somewhat amused, shaking his head a bit. "I got us a fine job, and a warm place to stay. You should thank me!"

Just when the other opened his mouth to contradict, the door swung open and a small, blonde and extremely young looking man entered. "So," he grinned at them, "you're the new entrants? I'm Kyo. C'mon, I show you everything."

When neither of the others moved, he waved his hands through the air. "What'cha waiting for? We got a lot to do. Time's money. I'll explain everything on the way."

Instantly the both newcomers got on their feet, following the small man out of the room. When they were walking along the hall they had to force themselves to listen to the blonde's explanations, as otherwise they would've just got stuck staring at the compelling luxury which was displayed everywhere from the carpets to the ceilings.

"There's always somebody working in the kitchen," Kyo began his explanations. "In case the girls are hungry." Grinning, he turned his head a bit, peeking over his shoulder. "And with 'girls', we mean everybody who works here. So this hall kinda divides the house. In the west wing, there's the real girls. On the ground-floor, the average whores, on the first floor, the luxury-chicks, as we call them. Same in the east-wing, where the guys are. You'll see later. The kitchen is the heart here and we do have a bar in the basement, a theatre and some other small lounges."

He stopped in front of the kitchen door and turned around to face the two. "What's your name?"

"I'm Toshiya. I will work in the kitchen." The black-haired offered his hand which was accepted smiling by the small blonde. "Fine. I'm Kyo. And you?"

"Die." The redhead shook the small man's hand as well, smiling at him. "And I guess I was supposed to do some cleaning or something?" He was still trying to process everything the other had told them, wanting to remember everything. He could write it down once they had a short pause, probably when they went to sleep, but it had to wait for the moment.

"Okay Die. You'll stick to me then." With having said that, Kyo opened the door and led them back into the kitchen. "Guys, this is Toshiya and Die. They are the new entries. Shin, could you spare a minute?"

A very thin, almost female looking young man approached them, the apron around his waist dirty from chopping vegetables.

"So we get more help in the kitchen?" The man looked delighted, wiping his hands clean with a corner of the apron before offering the newcomers a handshake. "I'm Shinya. Welcome to the house."

"Shin here knows everything and will help you find the things you need and tell you what to do," Kyo explained, addressing Toshiya. The black-haired only nodded, unable to keep his eyes off the pots which were boiling with delicious foods.

"You're hungry?" the blonde asked and received two frantic nods. "Well, one can't work with an empty stomach. Shin," he turned to look at the taller man in front of them, "how about a short snack before we get back to work? I bet you got something good for us."

"As a matter of fact, I do." Shinya smiled, turning to the side. Quickly, he took a few bowls, and made room at the edge of the table before setting them down. Then he fetched a kettle with something like stew in it.

"This is actually one of my favourite foods. Simple, but good." He set it down on the table as well, generously filling the bowls. Die couldn't help but to stare at the food, afraid it might somehow vanish.

"Rule number one," Kyo piped, reaching for a spoon and one of the bowls, "It never hurts to have a friend who works in the kitchen." Instantly, he began to shovel some of the stew into his mouth, making delighted sounds. "Shin, you guys do a great job here." Then, he looked at the two new ones and furrowed his brows. "What are you waiting for? A written invitation? Eat up."

Toshiya and Die needn't to be told twice, their stomachs roaring in anticipation of getting something to eat. "Usually," the blonde began to explain chewing, "we get enough to eat. During our breaks, we can always go into the cafeteria and get something, no matter at what time. But we're not allowed to drink alcohol during work, and the bar's forbidden for us. Though there are exeptions."

"So we get to eat whenever we're hungry?" Die's eyes widened, and he even stopped eating, turning to look at the others. It sounded like heaven, since he couldn't remember when he last had had enough food to eat whenever he had wanted it. Probably when he still had been living with his parents.

Shinya chuckled at the redhead's expression, hiding his grin behind his hand. "Sure. We're all working hard here, not only the whores. So yeah, whenever you're hungry, just go to the cafeteria. It's in this part of the building and for employees only. Some of the girls eat there too, but not always," Kyo explained, laughing as well, but didn't bother to hide his crooked teeth behind his hand and exchanged a knowing glance with his friend.

"So we don't need to pay for the food separately?" Die asked further, again attending his bowl, the stew vanishing into his mouth at a record speed.

"Nope." The blonde shook his head and laughed out loud as he noticed how the two new ones were plowing down the food like they hadn't had any in ages. "It's free, just like living here. Didn't you talk about money with Kaneda-san?" He looked a bit surprised. "The money we earn is okay, but nothing to make you rich. However, the job's okay, the food great and we have small apartments which we share with four or six colleagues."

"That sounds so nice. The place we live in now is cold as hell." The redhead chuckled, smiling thankfully at Shinya who filled his bowl again as he had eaten it all.

"Well," Kyo filled his bowl as well, casting an admonishing glance at his friend for forgetting it, "it's okay like I said. So, let's just finish eating quickly and then we need to get going. There's a lotta laundry waiting for us and a lot of work here in the kitchen too."

They finished eating rapidly without talking much anymore before they were done. The food was delicious and both, Die and Toshiya, got to eat lot more than in several past days all together. Finally they stood up, Shinya beginning to explain how things were in the kitchen to Toshiya, and Die followed Kyo out from the room.

I always love what you guys write, this looks like it'll be another good one! Although I can't see how the smut will come in yet exactly... I notice you are still using adjectives as nouns, I guess that's one habit you'll never shake. xD Goes to show I'm a grammar nazi (http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Grammar_nazi) as well as a pants nazi (http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Pants_nazi)... ah well... 8D

Heh, we both can't understand how you can't see how the smut will be coming. Hey, that's a brothel there^^

Dammit, we've been trying to avoid that mistake, really, but somehow it still slips us every now and then (or then I, seinen_no, am too tired to care at times). But maybe if you keep on pointing that out, we will manage to take it to heart.

Thank you so much for reading, as usual, and for commenting. A grammar nazi like you's always welcome ^^

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 11:52 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, and I will pester you now shortly if you don't mind^^

You have any idea where the top picture of my layout has gone? x) I'm not really clever enough to understand the codes or anything you did for the layout, and now for some reason the picture isn't showing up, as well the links aren't showing up...

[identity profile] sanghamyers.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 02:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I noticed. T_T
http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/6114/layerrq2.jpg
Well, this is the directlink to the background, which doesn't show up. I don't have any idea about why it doesn't work with the links. oO Maybe you can try pasting the codes again? oO If it won't work at all, I'll change it, make it new, anything. >_> I really don't get why it isn't working, sorry.

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, it's not your fault, no need to apologize. I will try to paste the link again there, and let's hope it works. Or then I could take the code off and then put it there again and see if it works then. I have no idea... With these things I just try and hope it works eventually x) Thanks for the effort though^^

[identity profile] sanghamyers.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I have problems with imageshack. Their pics sometimes don't show up. If photobucket wouldn't resize the picture, I'd recommend to host it there. But you have a paid account right? You can store pics with LJ - would it resize the pic?
The real problem is the sidebar. I don't get what's wrong with it. But if it won't work, no matter what you try, please let me know. I'll code it differently then. It just wouldn't look that way then.

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I dunno, I have to find out. I've never hosted a single pic with lj so I have no idea how it works. I will have to try to find out though, it might help. At least copying the link there again didn't help :/
The DiexKao-community had the same problem, so maybe it's something with lj? Their sidebar disappeared, along with the header picture.
I will try hosting pics with lj at first though and see if it helps.

Maybe they changed something that makes the codes not to work? I don't have the slightest of a clue. But http://fukainoyami.livejournal.com works and it's basically the same layout as yours. *headscratch*
Like I said, if it doesn't work at all, I'll make a new one.^^

[identity profile] funkyasscartoon.livejournal.com 2007-06-30 02:27 pm (UTC)(link)
<3 Yay!~ I was waiting for another post from the both of you... The comm was getting real quiet... T_T

So i read the summary, and somehow i thought Kao and Die were the best friends and assumed Totchi was the whore. Because Totchi is ALWAYS the whore. XD And then I read the fic and I was like O_O

"I can peel potatoes like nobody else. I have six siblings." - This made me LOL. Like for a few minutes. I couldn't continue reading. XD And I don't understand what's so funny about it myself. ^^

And I Lol'd at the tea thing too, when Die made tea when he woke up. Ya. wtf? I know...

And why Kaneda-san, not Camui-san?? When you wrote about the tinted glasses thing I immediately saw Gackt in my head.

Ok this is the longest comment EVAR filled with too much information. XD

But I continue. WRITE MOAR!!! FASTER!!! I'm already itching to read the next chapter nowww. T_T

[identity profile] rabenhorst.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 11:16 am (UTC)(link)
You're so right; Totchi's always the whore and that's exactly why he isn't in our story^^

Haha, dear, you speak my (seinen_no) mind with the tea thing. I dunno why [livejournal.com profile] fonulyn has such a thing going on for it. MY Die would drink coffee just like any other human being *lol

Kaneda-san/Camui-san, did I miss something? Gackt as the boss of everything? We should've made it like that, 'cause I think he'd fit perfectly.

Hah, and be sure we both feel proud to receive such a long comment from you, filled with REAL information^^ Thank you. And thanks for reading and commenting, as usual.

We will post the next chapter very soon, and this time I can promise it^^

[identity profile] funkyasscartoon.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 11:27 am (UTC)(link)
Yay ok good change, i guess he's kinda sore by now anyway... ^^

XD Gakuto the pimp. Makes perfect sense. oh well. and by soon i hope you mean like now... *starts refreshing page every five seconds*

[identity profile] rabenhorst.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 11:30 am (UTC)(link)
haha, maybe he is XD

Well, by soon we mean today^^ At least that's what we're aiming for. But you can go and take a small break though, it will take some time still. Checking and double checking that everything's alright XD

[identity profile] funkyasscartoon.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 11:34 am (UTC)(link)
YAY!~ but my today ends in five hours... hopefully i'll be able to read it by then. XD ok shall not pressure/pester you guys. ^^

I'll be waiting!~~~

[identity profile] rabenhorst.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 11:46 am (UTC)(link)
Your today ends in five hours? How come? Where do you live then?

I will try to see what I can do for you :D Gimme an hour and I should be able to get sth done x)

[identity profile] funkyasscartoon.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 11:48 am (UTC)(link)
I live in Kaoru's pants. and Die's coming in five hours. I don't know how that works. XD

YAY!~ <333

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 11:54 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, alright XD I take it that you don't wanna tell me x) But it's alright. and I wanna live in Kao's pants too. or maybe Die's

[identity profile] corbeille.livejournal.com 2007-06-30 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Great idea *__*
I can't wait to read more!

When I first read "Die and Toshiya" I was like "WTF Toshiya x Die! What happened to Kaoru?!"
But you won't disappoint me since the pairing isn't called "ToshiyaxDie" <333

I'm so curious~ please update fast!

[identity profile] rabenhorst.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 11:21 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you^^ We sometimes have a tiny bit weird ideas and we seem to be going through all the cliche settings for some reason x) But we try to get some originality in them at least :D

heehe, and we DO plan on writing a DiexToshiya once, so you kinda read our mind XD But DiexKaoru is the only true thing, and for now we never managed to write anything else x)

We will update soon, it's a promise :D And we're glad that you liked the beginning^^ Thanks for reading and commenting!

[identity profile] the_dream.livejournal.com 2007-06-30 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I really like this so far! I'm curious to see how things will progress~ Keep up the great work! :D

[identity profile] rabenhorst.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 11:22 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you for reading and commenting. You know, it's always nice to hear that people like what we come up with.

And we try to keep up the work. The next chap will follow soon.

[identity profile] aya-3003.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
I still can't believe that here's something new to read from you two!
THX!!!!!!

still can't decide what Kao should be~~~ perhaps a whore? or a rich costumer....

next chapter soon? *looking hopefully*

[identity profile] rabenhorst.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 11:25 am (UTC)(link)
hehe, better believe it XD We've been wanting to post stuff for some time now, as we have several stories written, but we never got to really edit them so they'd be ready. But we try to get better XD And the next chapter of this one will be up soon, promised!

heeehe, and you will find out soon about Kaoru^^ Just be patient dear!

Thank you so much for reading and commenting^^

[identity profile] freezextheframe.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 03:34 am (UTC)(link)

w00t!

[identity profile] rabenhorst.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
Heh, we had to take a forced break, 'cause [livejournal.com profile] fonulyn's been on a 3 week trip through Europe. Now she's sitting next to me though and we managed to edit at least one fic we've been written some time ago^^

Than you so much for your comment and we surely hope the rest will kick some ass. We'll update soon^^

[identity profile] totchan.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I really do like the idea and although I want Kaoru and Die to meet, it's good, that you took some time to built up the story and stuff ^^ It's cool that Toshiya and the others appear in this story :)
heh it's cool that you posted this fic so quickly ^__^ for both- you and the dxk fandom :)pia~ you translated it sooooooooo quickly °_______°~ Iwas completely flashed! And marjo checked everything in high speed as well xD~ haha

damn I'm so sad that I can't see you, marjo :/ *sobs* thanks for you card, hun! I was so happy when I saw it ^_______^ I've never got a postcard from a friend without knowing it before XD~ *smiles+huge hug*♥

oh dear °_° I'm spammig again~<3

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm now in chapter 9, checking it and it has only 10 chapters so I'm gonna be soon done! Yay for me XD

Aw, it would be so so nice to see you... *sigh* But maybe next year or something? Dämnit, you could live a bit closer too x) And I'm glad you liked the card :D I was thinking that to whom I wanna send one and of course I wanted to send one to you and thankfully I even had your address XD *hugs back*

And don't worry about the spamming! Keep it coming! ♥

[identity profile] totchan.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
haha yeah, you're really fast X) but the story is so great so no wonder you're so enthusiastic about it~ *____*

yeah...Next year-I hope :/ the problem is that I'm absolutely broke. If I had some money left I would have visited hamburg for a day but...next years then! XD~ hey, it's not my fault xD It's pia who lives at the end of the world *laughs* next time I travel somewhere I write you too :)<3

yay ^__^ ♥

[identity profile] fonulyn.livejournal.com 2007-07-02 10:24 am (UTC)(link)
And in addition to that I always love the things we write XD Selfish or not, I can't help it!

heehe, and now Pia would definitely argue and say that it's you who lives too far anyways XD But I'm hoping that we'll manage to meet once anyways^^

[identity profile] totchan.livejournal.com 2007-07-02 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think it's selfish to love your own ff x) I mean...you can be proud if you write a story and you're satsfied with what you achieved :)

yeah, I agree. (regarding the meeting xD)

[identity profile] melissalovedie.livejournal.com 2007-07-02 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
god, just the thought of Toshiya in a whore house makes me LOL XDDD
anyway i adored it :DDD i love how you describe the way they're tired of the old habits(like drinking tea) that makes it so much more real.
*goes off to read the next chapter*

[identity profile] violet-midnight.livejournal.com 2007-07-02 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay! :D I'm so excited you guys are doing another one! Toshiya and Die are adorable, poor guys need some meat on their bones. I love Shin and Kyo in this two, they're so cute. ^^ I can't wait to see how Kaoru comes into this, though i've got a pretty good idea already. XD Can't wait for updates, guys! <3

[identity profile] axleandmarie.livejournal.com 2007-07-29 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
The story seems very interesting. The beginning confused me, and the plots a little...out there. But I'm definitely going to read on.
