Comments: Well, well. This is odd. Hehe, really. And short, as usual. I just had the urge to write this down, and that means it doesn’t have much of a plot or anything^^ Somehow I still like it [I hope that didn’t sound too selfish] and it has a nice mood.
Sleep
I have never liked much living in the hotels but with the continuous touring I learned it pretty soon. I still don’t enjoy it, but I’ve learned to live with it. And after I began to share a room with Die, I have to admit that I’ve begun to even enjoy the mornings when we don’t have to rush anywhere. Maybe I’m getting old or something, but I seriously enjoy just being with nothing important to do, so that I can imagine for a brief moment that there are no heavy duties on me.
It was one of those peaceful mornings once again. I had woken up early like I always do, and left the bedroom to eat something, and maybe get some work done. Let me explain a bit about the hotel room; it was big, with kitchen and living-room too, but only had one large bedroom with two beds. One of them was occupied by me, naturally, and the other belonged to our redheaded guitarist. He loved to sleep in late in the mornings, and I saw no reason in waking him up when we had no hurry. But when it was already beginning to be over 11 am, I decided I’d go and see if he was still sleeping, or if he was dead or something. I had never been able to sleep after 8 am, and it was a mystery to me how he could still sleep after even 12 hours of sleep.
I knocked on the door, but there was no answer and I opened it slightly to step in. And nothing in this world could’ve prepared me for the sight that was displayed in front of me. Die was lying on the light sheets, the warm light shimmering on his smooth skin. I don’t think I have ever seen anything even nearly as perfect as that man in my life. His red hair had spread over the pillow, shining even brighter in the morning light than normally. Those lean limbs of his looked even longer now, with no clothing to cover them. He had apparently kicked his blanket to the floor in his sleep, and obviously he also liked to sleep naked.
Immediately I blushed, covering my eyes with my hand and only peeking slightly from between my fingers. My first instinct was to turn away, leave the room and be more careful in the future. But somehow the sight kept me hypnotized, and sucked me in until I found myself walking closer and finally sitting on the bed’s edge. I waited for him to wake up any minute, but my fear was in vain and he slept like a baby. I listened to his steady breathing for a long while, simply staring and memorizing every single slight curve on his lithe body, the way lights and shadows painted his skin, the relaxed features on his charming face.
Holding my breath, I moved my hand slowly, so slowly that it was barely moving. When my fingertips came to contact with his chest, he stirred in his sleep, and made my heart skip a beat. I froze and simply stared at him, waiting if he’d wake up or not. Those were one of the longest seconds in my life, as I staid there, not moving and only waiting. However he soon continued breathing steadily, eyes closed and lips slightly parted to let the silent breaths flow. I waited for some more seconds before moving again, letting my fingertips brush against that skin I had yearned to touch for what felt like forever, although it really was only minutes. I kept my gaze locked at my fingers, letting them wander downwards, along his abdomen.
My fingers practically danced down his thigh to his knee, circling the kneecap with my index finger before drawing small circles on his inner thigh. I had to close my eyes for a second at the feeling of his creamy skin. I had been dreaming of this for countless times, but I hadn’t even imagined that it would feel as heavenly as this. This is where I always wanted to be, worshipping him with my gaze and being able to touch him, feel his warmth against my hand. Instinctively I leaned closer, eyes closed, trying to feel the warmth radiating from him.
I still kept softly stroking his leg, never wanting to stop, and I prayed that he’d still be sleeping peacefully. Too soon he parted his thighs slightly, only a little but enough for me to notice. Immediately my eyes snapped up, and met his deep-brown ones, staring straight at me. Hypnotizing, as well as the rest of him. I had thought that he’d panic, push me away and start screaming how perverted I was, but instead he only looked at me. His eyes were bright, and even a soft smile was lingering on his lush lips.
“Am I still asleep?” His voice was thick, still laced with sleep, resonating in the room barely audible for me to hear.
I leaned closer, bringing my lips close to his ear, my breath hot against his skin. “I don’t know. What do you think?” I didn’t dare to speak out loud, and so my voice was only a soft whisper, a mere breath actually.
From the corner of my eye I saw his smile widen, and he closed his eyes. “I guess I am.” I couldn’t find any other word that would describe his sigh better than ‘content’. Encouraged by it I placed a series of soft kisses under his ear, finally biting down gently just beside his collarbone.
“You know what?” As he spoke again, I lifted my head to look him in the eye. I didn’t say a word, only smiled and waited for what he had to say. For a moment it felt like he would never speak again, but finally he opened his mouth and finished what he had begun. “I never want to wake up.”
His words made a loving smile spread over my face, and I rewarded him with a tender kiss.
