seinen_no: So, before my hunney leaves us for a couple of days, we thought we'd post the second chap and leave you with the nice image of some smut. I personally really enjoy the tension that's between them and the fact that they are like black and white, the perfect opposite to each other and still the same. Hope you enjoy it too!

Rebel Without a Clue
Chapter 2
Although to Kaoru it felt like an eternity, it only took a short moment and Die was done showering, stepping back to the small room they shared with only a towel wrapped around his hips. He instantly sensed the slight melancholy in the air, and leaned against the doorframe. For a moment he just watched the other man, somehow waiting for him to break the silence. It didn't seem likely to happen though and finally Die spoke up. "Don't bottle it all up." It sounded like any clichéd advice, but the difference was that it was meant completely honest, spolen in a tone that emphasized he didn't want to interfere in private things.
"It's alright." Kaoru smiled but the next sentence got stuck in his throat when he turned to look at Die. Water was dripping from the wet endings of his hair, smoothly running over his perfectly toned and slightly tanned chest, down the smooth belly only to vanish in the towel. The way he was leaning against the doorframe was too cool even for his own good. Kaoru wouldn't have been Kaoru though if he hadn't gotten a hold of himself again quickly. Shaking his head, he stretched his arms and got off the bed. "I think I'm just tired." To emphasize his words, he yawned exaggeratedly. "Just need a hot shower and a good night's sleep."
"Kaoru," Die shook his head slowly, a soft smile dancing on his lips as he eyed the other man. "You're way too timid and reserved for your own good. You're going to end up hurting yourself with it. C'mon, you should do something you'd never think of! Run away from work for a week, go dancing, take a tattoo, hell, even sleep in late one morning and screw work!"
That caught the smaller man off guard but then he had to chuckle again. Looking the other man straight in the eyes, he pursed his lips. "Been there, done that," he said casually. Slowly, he unbuttoned his shirt and took it off, revealing the long-sleeved t-shirt he was wearing underneath. He knew he smelled but if Die wanted him to be crazy, there. He was about to show him a beacon of his past. The smile was gone when he finally took off the second shirt as well. "There. Wild enough for you?" he asked, stretching out his arms that were covered with tattoos that reached from the wrists all the way up to his chest. A sin of his youth, but in his current job something like this meant nothing but troubles. Countless times he had been in the situation to find a good reason why he couldn't join business-partners in the onsen, why he didn't want to go to a bath together or sauna.
The sight clearly left Die speechless and he was just staring, his lips slightly parted as if he had wanted to say something but changed his mind in the nick of time. He took a step closer, even raising his hand as if to touch the other man's arm that was covered in different patterns and pictures. For some reason, he hesitated though, looking up into Kaoru's eyes. "May I?" Somehow, he knew that there weren't many people in Kaoru's current life who knew about this, and it felt like a too personal thing to touch.
"Sure," Kaoru gave a small shrug. Now that he had shown them and Die didn't seem to look down on him or laugh, he was comfortable again. Somehow he felt like he might have made too much of a fuss about this and felt the need to loosen the mood. "It's not like you could rub them off." Although he was smiling, there was still a slightly sceptical look in his eyes.
Die chuckled lowly, and the smile was still like stuck on his lips as he finally allowed his fingertips to touch the other man's skin. He traced the shapes and forms of the tattoos on the upper arm, somehow completely hypnotized by that. Finally, he pulled his hand back though and looked up, his eyes sparkling as he chuckled lowly. "What can I say? I am impressed."
"That somebody stuck-up like me has something cool like this?" Kaoru asked, grinning a bit. He could still feel the heat of Die's fingers moving over his skin and it caused him gooseflesh. It wasn't happening every day that he was touched so softly. "So, now that we established that I am crazy," he went on with a smirk, "I better go and take that shower. I smell like a skunk."
"As you wish," the other man shrugged a little bit, the smile on his lips even widening as he chuckled lowly. "Although, now that you shared your secret with me, I think I owe you one. Which is," he winked, something piercing in his gaze as he leaned a bit closer. "That I kinda like that."
Too close, Kaoru thought and he could feel his heart beat faster at an instant. He could feel Die's warm body, smelled the soap he had used and it made him feel dizzy. It was a wonderful feeling and somehow he didn't want to break the moment. "Like that as in thinking you should get some too?" Kaoru asked with a hitched eyebrow. "Or as in...?"
"Oh, as in thinking I should get some, definitely," Die laughed, his voice so low it seemed to be resonating in the air barely audible. "I do like your tats, but that's not what I meant." He brought his hand up, touching the other man's chin with his index finger, and for a second it looked as if he was about to tug his beard but he didn't. "I meant that I like your smell."
The touch startled Kaoru a bit. The movement made him raise his face, his lips touching Die's ever so softly. Or had he imagined it only? At least the other man didn't seem to have noticed a change at all. "Do you always speak your mind?" Kaoru asked and the smile on his lips couldn't betray his insecurity. His heart was going a thousand miles an hour and if he would have been a tiny bit more spontaneous, he would have just yanked away Die's towel, pressed himself against that firm body and kissed him as hard and passionate as he could.
"Not always," Die denied, but there was a sparkle in his eyes that was completely unreadable, yet it didn't really promise anything good. It had a mischievous glint to it, and somehow that seemed to suit him more than well. "But often." The words were only breathed out, spoken against the slightly smaller man's lips and the next second, the touch between them seemed to become more palpable. It was something that could almost be classified as a kiss, although it was chaste and only lips on lips. Still, it made the blood rush in Kaoru's ears and he felt his knees go weak. Die's lips were soft, smooth and lush and the way they were moving slightly against his own was promising more.
Without deepening the contact, nor pulling away, Kaoru reached out his hand. For a moment, he hesitated but then placed it on the other man's bare hip, his thumb softly caressing the sharp hip-bone. Die had been right, it's been ages since Kaoru had gotten laid and he wondered distantly if he even remembered how it worked. That at least was what his secretary and friend had always asked him teasingly. Everything seemed to happen like in a haze. There was no huge bang, no second when everything was unleashed and just set free. Instead, they gradually moved to deepen the kiss to a real one. It seemed that Die had just waited for a sign, and the soft touch on his hip was enough to encourage him to move further. Almost teasingly he traced the other man's bottom lip with his tongue, and when Kaoru gasped he used the moment instantly to slip his tongue inside.
The smaller man smiled into the kiss. He hadn't been mistaken, Die indeed was a good kisser. How much luck could a single man have? First, he had been picked up after his car broke down and that by a nice, good-looking man who seemed to have nothing better to do than to drive him all the way to the meeting and now that man even was ending his long dry-spell and kissed him in a way that made his head spin and his knees shake. With a little tug, Kaoru finally allowed the towel to slide to the floor. He wanted Die naked, wanted to touch his smooth skin, smell his scent and, oh boy, he wanted to fuck his brains out even though the taller man didn't seem to know about his luck just yet.
For a few seconds it seemed that they would just go on like this, neither of them willing to let go of the deep kiss that they were sharing. Yet, when Kaoru traced his fingers down the other man's spine, it seemed to be enough to trigger something inside of him. Die's hands shot up, and while just a second ago he had seemed to advance only carefully, it all changed now. He simply tilted his head and deepened the kiss further, practically devouring the smaller man's mouth, his hands gripping the long strands of his hair. It made Kaoru gasp and then he mewled, pressing his body close against the other man's. His fingers were slowly dancing lower until they had reached Die's butt and he used the grip to yank him closer demandingly.
It was somehow the signal for both of them to move towards the bed. Kaoru was practically clinging onto the taller man while Die tried not to trip over his own feet. Distantly, Kaoru could still hear the words 'I meant I like your smell' and somehow that even fanned the heat within. Die was fresh from the shower, his skin still a little damp and he smelled of shampoo, while Kaoru was sweaty after the long day, dust and dirt sticking to his skin, and there seemed to be a clear contrast between them. Somehow, they both seemed to be totally getting off on that already.
Once they reached the bed they simply tumbled down to one heap of limbs, rolling over a couple of times on the mattress. Kaoru ended up between Die's long, lean legs and the latter used the moment to his own advantage, running his palms down the smaller man's back. In no time, his large hands were cupping the round of Kaoru's rear, and judging by the mewl he released into the kiss, he definitely liked the feel of it. Kaoru groaned shamelessly, showing how much he enjoyed the touch already. He still wore his trousers, but even that turned him on now, feeling his clothed arousal brush against Die's naked one. For a second, he thought about the long drive that still lay ahead of them but then Die did something with his tongue that extinguished the thought instantly. Basing one hand on the mattress, Kaoru lifted himself up enough to fumble with the button of his pants finally.
When the kiss broke, Die was simply grinning up at the other man and there was something clearly satisfied in the sparkle in his eyes, something that showed that he was more than content with how things were turning out. He placed his palms on the other man's shoulders and gently pushed him a bit further from himself. At first it confused Kaoru a bit. He was getting mixed signals there and while Die had appeared so eager, he was being pushed away like that. But then he realized what was going on, when Die's hungry gaze roamed over every inch of his body, drinking in the sight. The other man had simply wanted some distance so he could enjoy the sight, his eyes soon wandering down the smaller man's chest and belly. He was even shivering a little in anticipation of what would be revealed, wanting to see the other man in his full naked glory.
It was a bit like the beauty and the beast, at least outwardly. Kaoru's hair was a thick, wild mass, his skin smelling like sweat and himself while Die's was perfectly white and clean after the shower. Die's armpits were shaved, Kaoru's not even trimmed and only if one looked beneath the surface, one could see that in reality their personalities were reversed. The taller man was the wild one, the untamed, while Kaoru was the uptight business-man whose life went along very well treaded paths. The gaze made Kaoru shudder. He enjoyed it beyond belief to be watched like this, could clearly feel Die's anticipation, could feel that he wanted to see all of him. Leaning back a bit further, he finally pulled down his trousers along with his underpants, stripping for the other man.
One couldn't only see Die's delight in the sparkle in his eyes, but also hear it in the content purr that spilled from his lips. Shamelessly he was enjoying the sight presented to him, inwardly thinking that somehow the contrast between Kaoru's looks and his personality made him even more tempting. He was an enigma Die wanted to decipher, wanted to break the chains and show the other man it was more than worth to let go and just be free. One look at Kaoru like this would've made one think he was indeed the rock god he had dreamed to become instead of a serious businessman.
Once his clothes were gone completely, Die had straightened a little as well, and now again ran his fingers along the line of those dark tattoos on the smaller man's upper arm. This time the touch wasn't as wondering as before, it even had some sort of demand laced in it before he gripped the other man to yank him closer. Gasping, Kaoru fell against the other man and the moment their naked bodies touched, a wave of lust and desire shot through his whole being. He had already established that Die's skin didn't only smell good but also was incredibly smooth, yet, feeling him so completely was mind-blowing and even elicited a small, needy groan from him.
There was no need for words. Kaoru could see the same desire, the same feelings mirrored in Die's eyes that he was going through himself. There was a little something extra, this understanding that Kaoru couldn't quite place. It was as if Die knew him, saw right through him without wanting to discover embarrassing secrets but rather to understand how he was functioning as a whole. Something passed between them when their eyes met, and for a second they simply froze in mid-movement. It seemed that the magic of the moment was gone as soon as it had appeared though and like drawn by gravity, they crushed their mouths together again in a heated kiss. In mere seconds Die's hands found their way back into Kaoru's hair, tugging on the dark, sweaty strands as he tried to deepen the contact even further. He hadn't lied when he had said that he liked how Kaoru smelled and somehow couldn't get enough of his scent, wanted to feel that dirty skin against his own.
At the same time, Kaoru was dying to feel his smooth, clean skin, was drowning in his scent that made his head spin and his heart beat like a drum. One elbow was propped on the mattress, the hand gripping a few silky strands of Die's hair while the other was roaming over that lean frame underneath him. Time and time again they were grinding against each other, getting high on the sensations and on each other. At one point, Kaoru couldn't hold back anymore and just slipped his hand between Die's legs. He wanted to feel Die's body tense, wanted to hear surprised gasps and deep, pleased moans.
Already the soft touch on his inner thigh made Die shudder clearly, a small sigh escaping his lips as if he was taken by surprise by the advances. The bold hand continued with its trail though, and within seconds the taller man was only gasping for air, writhing on the sheets in the need for more. His long fingers were gripping Kaoru's shoulders, digging deep into the soft flesh as he held on like his life depended on it. In a way it did, as right there, at that moment, it almost felt that they were living on each other. Kaoru enjoyed feeling Die as much as the other way around and it didn't take long before he was breathing heavily, small groans slipping his throat every once in a while. Obviously, they both weren't blushing virgins and yet this felt completely new to the smaller man. Besides, it has been quite a while and that already made him a bit nervous. Still, they both wanted more obviously and soon Kaoru's index-finger had slipped between Die's buttocks, circling his entrance tentatively.
If he had expected any reluctance, he was completely proven wrong as nothing like that followed, quite the contrary. It seemed that Die's whole body tensed for a split second, only to then begin trembling palpably. He even parted his legs willingly, tilting his head backwards in a way that exposed his throat deliciously. His hands were moving as well, sliding from Kaoru's shoulders to his back, fingertips tracing down his spine in a feathery like touch. The touch was barely palpable, made Kaoru shudder and coevally urged him to go on. He was a puppet and Die held the strings in his hands, knowing exactly what to do, where to pull, to make him do whatever he wanted. A few minutes ago, it would have surprised Kaoru to hear Die would be lying underneath him with spread legs, willingly opening up for him, but now it seemed all natural.
Their kisses became shorter, deeper, less focused as the heat between them seemed to rise without an end. By the time when Kaoru had two fingers inside the other man, felt him tighten around them, heard his breathy gasps and needy groans, he was certain that neither of them could go on like this much longer. They simply needed more, needed to feel each other. It was more important than breathing, it felt like their whole existence was dependant on the unification. Neither of them had ever gone through anything quite like that, and they had no idea what had caused that. It wasn't love, it wasn't lust, it wasn't anything they could've put into words, and yet it was everything at once.
It took Die a lot of effort to pull himself back from the pleasant haze at least remotely, but he managed enough to reach for his bag that was still lying on the edge of the bed, threatening to slip down any second. Hastily he fumbled through the side-pocket, and in no time made a victorious little sound as he found the rubber he had been looking for. Somehow that was so ridiculous that it made Kaoru laugh. He wouldn't have bothered, wouldn't have cared. Not at such a moment, not with somebody like Die. It had to be the rebel, of all people, who reminded him of necessities like this. Smirking, Kaoru snatched the condom from his lover's hands and instantly ripped it open. As he hadn't been handed lube, he trusted that Die didn't need it or didn't like it.
Whatever it was, as long as there was no protest, Kaoru didn't care. Yearning to feel this hot gaze on him again that made his skin tickle as if a thousand ants were swarming there, he straightened, bringing enough distance between them. For a second it looked as if Die would follow right after, something primal flashing in his eyes that made it seem that he wanted to devour the other man and wouldn't settle for having more distance between them. Yet, eventually he just leaned back and gave Kaoru exactly what he had wanted. He watched the other man's every single movement, caressing his skin with his gaze, and when his eyes roamed all the way down he didn't even try to conceal a small pleased shudder, slowly licking his lips.
These small things made something inside Kaoru twitch, made his blood boil and he couldn't control the pent up pressure anymore, the bottled up passion that had been locked away inside him for far too long. Hastily, he rolled the condom over his length and then, in getting closer to Die again, pushed his arms underneath the other man's legs. Locking them in the hollows of Die's knees, Kaoru forced the other man to fold his body and raise his rear far, opening up for him. The tip of his cock already pressed against the tight entrance and both men seemed to hold their breaths in anticipation of what would follow.
It seemed that the whole world stopped turning for a second, crushing down until only the two of them remained, everything else becoming trivial. Not a single word was spoken, but when their eyes met it seemed that it was a wordless sign for both of them. Slowly, Kaoru moved his hips forward, penetrating the other man who in turn lifted his hips to meet the movement halfway to enhance the feelings for both of them as much as possible. Die's inner muscles were going mad, adjusting around the intruder and yet at the same time it felt as if his body was welcoming the connection, greedy for more. This reaction made Kaoru groan and his eyes fell half-way shut. Their lips were touching, their hasty breaths mixing, caressing each other's faces.
For a second, they both enjoyed the connection. Kaoru blamed it on the long dry-spell, but he could have sworn that this went deeper than mere lust, that this was more than just plain sex. Of course there had been sparkles flying between them from the first moment on and the chemistry had been perfect. Didn't one say that opposites attract? When Kaoru began to move, Die followed his lead naturally, meeting him half-way as best as he could in his position. One could have thought they had known for ages already and not for less than 24 hours.
At least their every movement seemed to match as they were moving in almost perfect unison, pushing each other higher. Whenever their bodies were connected as deeply as possible, they shared open mouthed kisses, their tongues meeting outside their mouths only to let it evolve into a passionate kiss that almost looked like they were going to eat each other alive. Die's hands were again running down the other man's back, his left hand coming to a rest between his shoulder blades. His right hand slid all the way down though, until he could grip Kaoru's thigh.
There was something possessive in the touch, something demanding that shot through Kaoru's body like electricity. As an answer to that, his hips were snapping forward quick and hard a couple of times. He wanted to show Die that he was his; at least for this moment belonged to him completely. Another open-mouthed kiss was exchanged, a few deeper thrusts following after and Kaoru felt like flying. The orgasm overcame him so quick, so unexpected, that he only had the time to gasp in surprise as he was pushed over the edge. Not for a single second did he stop moving though as he greedily tried to enhance the sensations.
Die had practically stopped breathing several minutes ago, his whole world consisting of sheer white pleasure that kept on hammering down on his consciousness with such force that it threatened to knock him over. It only took a few heartbeats and he followed the other man, his body thrown over the edge helplessly as he couldn't have held back even if he had wanted to. He cried out loud, his back forming an almost perfect arch as he came hard, his mind filled by pure bliss for those few seconds. If Kaoru had been at his senses, he would have realized that it must have been some time for Die too since he had gotten any, or then Kaoru simply was a brilliant lover. Later, he would settle for the first, but for the time being, his thoughts were occupied by completely different things as he tried to process the pleasure Die's orgasm had brought for him as well. Not only physically by his jolting body but also visually because the sight was simply breathtakingly gorgeous.
It seemed like an eternity although only mere seconds passed in reality, and finally Die managed to open his eyes and look straight up at the other man. There was a small smile curving his lips, a deep sparkle in his eyes and although he didn't say anything, that one look spoke more than any words ever could. Gently, he brought his hand up to tangle his fingers into the other man's hair, pulling him down for a kiss. Kaoru's eyes were closed already before their lips even touched. This kiss was different from the ones before, was slow, tender and, if one wanted to use the word, loving. They took their time with it and even when it broke, Kaoru only pressed his forehead against Die's, looking straight down into his eyes. Only then he moved his hips and broke the connection, immediately reaching down to get rid of the icky condom.
Neither of them seemed to be willing to speak right now, to break the moment with something as trivial as words. Rather they just exchanged one more slow kiss, before simply collapsing right next to each other, both still trying to normalize their breathing. Neither of them mentioned the fact that they both needed to shower now, and neither of them seemed to be willing to get up to do just that. In the morning, then there would be time still, before they would drive off. Kaoru was exhausted but for some reason didn't just pass out like he normally would have. It was a miracle that surprised him but he didn't even think about work at that moment.
Die seemed to be drifting off rapidly, but first snuggled up closer, pillowing his head on Kaoru's shoulder. It didn't take long though and his breathing had become even and deep and the smaller man was certain that his companion was fast asleep already. That gave him the perfect opportunity to watch those soft features. Without the omnipresent smirk and the fiery sparkling eyes, Die looked peaceful, at ease with himself and the world. In his sleep, he shifted even closer and it seemed that he was either just drawn by Kaoru's warmth or then there was a subconscious urge to get as close as humanly possible. When Kaoru sneaked one arm around the other man, pulling him against himself, Die released a soft sigh that clearly spoke of contentment at least.
It was almost ridiculous how soft Die's skin really was, even his hair so silky that it seemed it was trying to escape each touch. For a second Kaoru thought that the other man seemed almost magical, but then just shook his head to shrug off the thought, chuckling as he knew it was the high and the tiredness speaking. Still, the moment was enchanting, Die was enchanting and at the same time so surreal that Kaoru feared he could just vanish into nothingness. At one point, he drifted off nevertheless, the exhaustion taking its toll on him.
The next morning, he found out though that his company was still there. It appeared as if Die hadn't moved an inch and with that had forced Kaoru to lie still as well. His back was aching a bit and although it was only shortly past six, he felt the urge to get up, shower and then get back on the road. Die seemed to have other plans though and when he felt his pillow stir, he only moved closer, not allowing Kaoru to leave the bed just yet. He even sneaked one arm around the smaller man and held him tight, nuzzling his nose into his skin only to inhale his scent deeply. It made Kaoru chuckle lowly, and he settled for his fate to stay still on his place.
Still, there was this certain restlessness inside of him, making it hard for him to stay still for longer. He had thought that Die was still fast asleep, but at one point he was proven wrong as a familiar voice cut through the silence. "Would you please stop squirming? You're ruining my morning-sleep!"
That earned Die a few chuckles and a playful slap on the head. "Hey, if you're awake already, you can as well let me take that much needed shower. We need to get going soon." Kaoru turned his head to look at the other man but when Die didn't make a move to look up, he slumped back into the cushions again.
"No, we don't need to," Die argued, for a second sounding more like a stubborn child than the cool rebel he had pulled off perfectly earlier. "We will now enjoy the lazy morning a while longer, and then you are allowed to shower while I go get us something to eat. And maybe then we will get going slowly."
"But Die," Kaoru whined, but was silenced by a single glare from the other man. As much as he wanted to get going, he knew he was dependant on the other man's good will and feared that if he pushed Die too much, he would slow down even more. "Alright," he sighed but subconsciously pulled the other man closer. "Let's enjoy the morning a bit still."
"We will make it on time, trust me," the other man nodded a little bit. His tone made clear that the topic was settled with that and that he wouldn't be discussing it further. "Relax." That was the last word he said before snuggling closer again, and somehow it seemed almost as if he was drifting off again.
That left Kaoru helpless but to surrender to his fate. He even tried to close his eyes and follow Die's command but somehow the thought of the important meeting was back. Trying to change that, he thought of the previous night and distantly wondered if anything had changed between them or if Die would still be this smirking, teasing rebel who used any given opportunity to drop ambiguous remarks as if he had to fight to get Kaoru into bed.
For a long moment, at least to Kaoru it felt like a small eternity, they still stayed in bed just doing nothing at all. Finally, at one point Die deemed that he had gotten enough beauty-sleep and he heaved himself up, reaching to plant a short peck on the other man's lips. "Alright, I think it's time for breakfast. I'll take a super-quick shower and then you can take your time while I get the food," he winked merrily, already turning to head off to the bathroom.
He acted so natural that it startled Kaoru. Surprised and pleased at the same time, he looked after the taller man, enjoying the sight of his naked back as he marched into the bathroom without too much haste. Noting distantly that Die didn't bother to close the door, Kaoru used the moment to get up and go through his papers again shortly. Of course he didn't miss to sneak a peek into the bathroom but was a bit disappointed as he couldn't see too much.
It didn't take long and Die was back again, his hair still dripping wet as he hadn't bothered to dry it, knowing that the sunny weather would dry it within no time anyways. He gave Kaoru a warning glare as he noticed he was working again, but it was gone again in a second and he just flashed him a grin. "Now go and take the shower. You still look like you had been fixing your car for hours. I go get something to eat." Casually he pulled on a t-shirt and stepped into his jeans, grabbing his wallet and the pack of cigarettes from the small table.
Kaoru couldn't help but to notice that Die generously ignored his boxers and instead just went commando. Shaking his head, he tried to get a grip on himself and followed the advice, heading towards the bathroom already. "I will pay you back every cent as soon as we're in a city where I can withdraw some money," he promised but didn't even wait for an answer before he just slipped through the door, closing it behind him carefully.
That made Die grin and he just shook his head a little to himself, before merrily marching off. By the time when he appeared back, Kaoru had already showered and was now sitting there wrapped in a towel, going through some of his papers as the work had gripped him again. Die didn't say anything, just practically waltzed closer and slammed a brown paper bag down straight on the papers the other man had been examining. "Here. Food!" He grinned, obviously pleased with himself.
"Hey! Those are important!" Hectically, Kaoru shoved the food away from his files and neatly put them aside before grabbing the bag and peeking inside. He was starving and curious to see what Die had gotten them.
"Those aren't more important than food," the other man smirked, plopping to sit down on the bed as well. "There are some croissants and some sandwiches, something sweet as well, and here I got us some coffee." While speaking, he reached forward to hand the other man a cup of coffee as well.
"Oh god coffee. I love you!" Kaoru reached for the cup, wrapping his hands around it as if it was the most precious thing. Immediately, he took a long sip and wondered how Die could have known that he liked his coffee black with a bit of sugar. He didn't comment on the papers though, knowing that the other man's opinion about them differed a lot from his own. When he looked up, he got caught staring for a moment. How could Die look so good this early? So awake and happy? Well, the previous night had conjured a deep sparkle into Kaoru's eyes as well and he had to admit that he felt better than in ages.
Die was sipping his coffee, just smiling at the other man and looking at him from sparkling eyes. "Just taste one of those croissants and you will love me even more," he advised. "Those are sinfully good! I already ate one while walking back here." He smirked, and already reached for the bag to rummage through it for more to eat.
Blindly, Kaoru held up his hand, waiting for Die to give him one of these sweet sins, as the other man had called them. "I wonder how you're keeping in shape," he uttered while dipping his croissant into the coffee. Usually, he avoided fatty things like that because they were going straight from the mouth to the hips without taking a detour over the stomach.
"I just have good genes," Die announced, his smile not fading in the slightest. "C'mon, you just have to enjoy life at times! If you think too much, you'll end up watching your life flow by without you." He obviously was going to enjoy his meal, the happy smile dancing on his lips as he was chewing on his food.
"Where do you get all these wisdoms? From a calendar?" Kaoru asked laughing. Yet, he took it to heart and enjoyed his breakfast. He even tried to taste the croissant with all his senses, chewing on it to get to take in even the last bits of its taste in. He even reached for a second one but after taking one bite, he almost jumped up. "Damn, there's chocolate inside!"
"Yes," Die laughed, nodding a few times, "I told you, they are sinful! But my god, they are so good I could eat gazillion of them!" He was still smiling and his eyes were sparkling merrily, and he obviously enjoyed watching the other man eat, as much as he enjoyed the slow moment of togetherness although it was something as mundane as a modest breakfast.
There really was a lot of chocolate filling in the croissant and some of it ran down Kaoru's chin without him noticing it. He tried to eat it as best as he could but one could see from his hectically moving eyes that he was searching for a napkin or a paper tissue. He didn't even notice that he was watched as he was too focused on eating and trying to enjoy the sweetness. If it was only to please Die or because he really wanted to, he even couldn't tell himself. Maybe it was a mixture of both. He still seemed to want to wipe off the chocolate that was sticking on his cheek, but he hesitated as he didn't want to use the back of his hand and he still didn't have a napkin. Die solved the problem his own way though. He leaned in and teasingly ran his tongue over the other man's cheek, making sure to clean off every bit of the sweet mass thoroughly.
The touch of his wet tongue made Kaoru shudder and a flash of heat coursed through him. It was almost as if a flock of butterflies had been waiting inside his stomach that now was set free and swarmed around. "Thank you." He even managed to grin self-confidently although he didn't feel that secure at that moment. He would have wanted to just kiss the other man but instead only shoved the last bite of the croissant into his mouth, chewing on it in an almost teasing manner.
It made Die chuckle and he was watching the other man with a mixture of amusement and desire. Finally he managed to tear his gaze off though, standing up to stretch his back relishing. "Shall we then slowly get going? I want to have a break around lunch hour to get something more to eat. But this'll do for now, for a while."
"Oh yes we should!" Like a jack jumped out of the box, Kaoru bounced off his chair, ripped the towel off his form and practically threw himself into his clothes. It was as if he had been waiting for a signal to get going and now he seemed to be relieved that it was the time. He was ready to leave within three minutes and only grinned at the other man.
There was something almost disappointed in the other man's eyes but he covered it well, just smiling at his companion and threw the car-keys at him. "You can go to the car already. I will return the hotel-key first and thank that lovely lady for great service," he winked and they both chuckled, as the term "lovely lady" still hardly fit their host. While Kaoru seemed to be extremely eager to go, there was nothing in Die's posture that would've spoken of anything else but pure relaxation.

Previously happened: Part 1
