seinen_no: Dears, took us some time, but here's the next chapter. If I were Kaoru, I wouldn't be able to decide whether to kill or fuck Die just because he's so annoying and so charming and flirty at the same time^^ Just enjoy and have fun!
fonulyn: So here comes the second chapter and they’re already making progress! Well I suppose they should, seeing that this only has four chapters to begin with XD But anyways! Chapter 2
Relieved, the bodyguard went to his room first to grab his exercise clothes and then went to the reception, asking if the gym was still open. He was hoping that the training would clear his head, get his mind off his client and re-focus on the really important things of his job.
For starters, he ran a few kilometres on the treadmill, his mp3-player joining him and pushing him forward with loud, hard rock music. Only when he was seriously out of breath, he went over to the punching ball. No matter what he did though, in his mind's eye he always saw the redheaded actor. Why on earth did his client have to be so charming and, even worse, gorgeous? Since the music only increased the running of his thoughts, he finally shut the player off.
Inside his room Die threw his clothes away instantly and wrapped himself into the same dressing gown he had worn in the morning. He thought he might take a bath and go to bed afterwards, but there was still something on his mind that prevented him from doing that. For the whole day he had been wanting to get closer to the bodyguard, trying to drop hints he wouldn't have minded to share a couple of drinks with him, or something more. His charm seemed to have failed him as he was there alone instead of being with the handsome bodyguard.
He was sitting in a huge armchair, resting his chin on his palm when his eyes accidentally fell upon a huge spider that was right beside the bed on the floor. Instantly he was on his feet, reached for his cell phone and dialled Kaoru's number.
The bodyguard was alarmed when his phone rang and he recognized the number. A bit out of breath, he answered, already on his way out of the gym and up to the other man's room, sweaty like he was. "Die? What's wrong?" Throughout his job, he had learned that it was better to be overly careful and act without hesitating than to wait and talk first.
"You gotta come and save me!" Die announced vaguely, allowing his voice to rise until he sounded slightly hysterical even. After all, it would double his chances to get the other man there as soon as possible.
"Just stay calm. I'm there at an instant." After hanging up, Kaoru realized that his gun was in his room. Anyways, it wasn't very likely that somebody had broken into Die's room, unless the redhead hadn't kept his promise and had left the door open. That thought made him speed up even more.
Like assumed, the door was unlocked and swung open when he turned the handle. "Die?" Quickly, Kaoru checked the huge living-room of the suite and then made his way towards the bedroom.
Die was standing on the armchair and as soon as Kaoru stepped into the room he turned his wide eyes to look at him. "Thank God you're here!" He raised his arm to point at the spider that hadn't moved a single millimetre the whole time, thankfully. "It's trying to kill me, I swear!"
For a long moment, Kaoru just stared at the insect and then at the redhead, disbelieving. "A spider? A fucking spider?" He couldn't help but to sound highly annoyed, but then he got a hold of himself and shook his head. "Don't worry, I get rid of it."
Still wearing his track-suit pants and the sleeveless tight shirt, he went over and took the spider into his hand. It was huge indeed, but certainly no reason to call him and sound as if somebody was threatening him with a knife. After throwing the eight-legged threat out of the window, he turned around to look at his boss, unable to suppress a grin although he tried to look questioning with his hitched eyebrow.
"Hey, it could've been poisonous or something." Die shrugged, but couldn't help a small smile to appear on his lips, maybe even a tiny bit apologetic. "Thank you." He carefully kept his gaze locked up to measure the other man's form, not that he hadn't been doing it already for as long as the bodyguard had been in the same room. Kaoru simply looked gorgeous in the tight shirt and the leisure suit pants, a thin layer of sweat beading on his skin still from the workout and the hurry to his room. Die was impressed, and had to swallow a bit as he noticed his throat drying up.
"You're welcome." Kaoru sighed and casually plopped down at the edge of the bed, crossing his legs. He looked Die directly in the eyes, but in reality he only tried not to stare at the slightly see-through gown he was wearing, or - more likely - what was underneath. "Just please tell me next time that it's not the stalker and just an insect, okay? And please, please lock your damn door."
"I will lock the door, promised." The redhead noticed that he was still standing on the chair and carefully stepped down. He seemed to accidentally lose his balance though, and fell forward with a yelp, landing half on the other man's lap.
Instinctively, the bodyguard grabbed him, chuckling a bit. "Take it slow." Quickly though, he pushed Die to sit on the bed beside him, being awfully aware of the closeness and the fact that he himself was sweaty and probably didn't smell like flowers and honey while Die's just smelled breathtakingly good in his opinion.
Die didn't seem to mind though, even leaned a bit closer to the other man with a smirk on his lips. "Well, sometimes the best things come fast though." He stated, the words obviously carrying a double meaning.
"And are gone again fast," the other man retorted, mirroring the expression but taking a bit of distance again. He couldn't help it, the direct proximity to the redhead made his heart beat faster and gave him indecent thoughts. But wasn't he off duty? Still, Die was his client and he just couldn't do anything about his own feelings and instead had to remain firm.
"You can't know that. Sometimes one gets lucky." The redhead shrugged, and teasingly leaned a bit closer still, almost touching the other man before he got up on his feet. "And it's always worth a try," he stated casually, taking a few steps away from the bodyguard, turning his back on him. He knew that Kaoru would watch him closely and that alone was contentment in itself for him.
The bodyguard had to swallow though and first only nodded before he realized that the other man couldn't see him. "Live fast, die young, huh? You should've become a rockstar instead of an actor. Or maybe you are the new James Dean?" Kaoru chuckled a bit. "But as long as I'm your bodyguard, there'll be no dying," he added.
"I just have to try keeping you forever then, right?" Die turned around slowly, tilting his head a bit as he gave the other man a smile. Suddenly he gasped though, turning back towards the window, pressing his face close to it. "What was that!? I saw someone out there!"
"What?" Instantly, Kaoru was at his feet, darting towards the window. "Switch the lights off!" he demanded and then stared outside. After a moment though, he shook his head. "Are you sure? I don't see anybody." It wasn't a calming thought that the crazy stalker might have been out there and even knew which room Die had. On the other hand, this was the first floor. How should somebody get to the window? "You saw him down there? Couldn't it have been an employee of the hotel?"
"Of course not, I'm not dumb!" Die sounded offended and folded his arms across his chest with pursed his lips. "It was none of the hotel-employees, it was none I know. It was this creepy guy and I definitely don't want to go and ask him what the heck he is doing underneath my window!"
"Don't worry." Kaoru tried to make his voice sound calming. "He can't just fly up here. But maybe we should get you another room. Just as a precaution."
"This is the best room they have." Die didn't sound too happy, and the pout on his face even deepened instantly. "I'm not going anywhere. I'll stay in MY room."
"Okay," the bodyguard shrugged. "Then I will have to stay here too just to make sure nobody's trying anything." Instantly, he cursed himself for suggesting something like that. It wasn't uncommon for a bodyguard to stay with his client, but this was different. He was attracted to Die and just thinking about the other man lying in his bed, tossing and turning and showing parts of his perfect skin or his long legs wouldn't make things easy.
"Good," The redhead was smiling, the expression a bit too content maybe. He didn't bother to conceal it though, and simply turned around again. "Want to have a drink?"
"I'd rather take a shower and get my blanket first," the other man replied smiling. "You think you manage for half an hour?"
"You can shower here." Die suggested maybe a bit too eager. "You know," He explained quickly after, "I would rather not be alone right now."
"And my clothes?" Kaoru asked, but then nodded. The client's wish was the most important thing and if Die was afraid to be alone, then he would have to deal with it. "Okay." Sighing a bit, the smaller man gave in. "I will just take a quick shower then and my boxers should do for the night."
"I have heaps of clothes too, so you can see if something fits you." The redhead promised generously. The mere thought of the other man showering there, in the next room, made him grin and he was already plotting in his head how to manage sneaking a peek.
For a long moment, Kaoru measured the redhead and then chuckled. "Well, I think a shirt would do till tomorrow and I can take your spare blanket too." Slowly, he got up from his seat, hesitating a moment. "Then I will get rid of the smell now."
With having said that, he walked towards the bathroom. It was huge, gigantic even and although he had seen rooms like that dozens of times before, it was something special to actually use it himself. Quickly, he stripped off his clothes and stepped into the shower cabin which would have easily fitted five people. He had left the door a tiny bit ajar, in case Die was calling for him.
That suited Die really well and as soon as he heard the shower running he silently sneaked to the door, carefully looking through the small gap. At first he was about to let out a disappointed sigh as he didn't see much, the other man just barely out of his vision. Carefully he reached out his hand and pushed a bit, wincing at the creaking of the door. But the bodyguard didn't seem to notice anything and a content smile spread over Die's lips as he gained a full view on the other man's backside.
Kaoru had foamed his hair and was blissfully ignorant to his watcher, just enjoying the warm spray and the luxury of this shower with the marble tiles and the noble fittings. The shock of Die calling him had brought a certain tension to his body and only now the adrenalin slowly left him and he relaxed, Die's luxurious shower-gel and shampoo doing their part as they truly smelled delicious. The thought of the other man made the bodyguard sigh a bit and he silently asked himself how the redhead's perfect skin would feel if one foamed it in the shower, ran ones fingertips across it softly.
Die had settled comfortably beside the door, sat on the floor and leaned against the wall, simply enjoying the show to no end. The other man's body was totally gorgeous and his hands were itching to touch, to get closer no matter what. He just would have to stay persistent, since he definitely wanted to get a piece of that.
He was rewarded with a long show since Kaoru really enjoyed the warm shower and took his time with it. He knew that Die wouldn't mind if he just made himself at home and despite that, he was off duty in a way, at least partly.
Although it would have been more clever to hire a second bodyguard, now that the stalker had been seen, Kaoru was somehow reluctant. He enjoyed being with the redhead and despite the fact that he made him feel like a teenager in love at times, he really was a nice guy and raised the wish in him to get to know him better. After turning off the tap, he opened the cabin-door and then hesitated. Which towel should he use? "Er, Die?" Kaoru yelled. "Which towel may I use?"
It startled Die and quickly he got on his feet, tearing his gaze away from the other man's form as he didn't want to get caught spying like that. Quickly he took a step further into the room, answering in a casual voice. "Whichever you want to."
As Kaoru reached for one, he felt that it was still a bit damp, obviously been used by the other man before. He couldn't deny himself from smelling it secretly, but then he took a dry one and first dried his hair before he wrapped it around his waist. To get rid of the steam in the room, he opened the door a bit further, smiling at Die who stood in the doorframe to the bedroom. "I hope you don't mind that I used your shower gel?"
"No, not at all." Die tried to appear casual, although seeing the other man there in nothing else than a towel made him want to jump him at that very instant. He managed to hold back though, arching an eyebrow curiously. "Now want that drink?"
"Just let me get into my boxers and shortly blow my hair dry. Then I would really like a drink," the bodyguard answered with a wide smile. It was a bit like hanging out with a friend, or maybe not a friend but something else, and although he knew he shouldn't drink, the redhead's charm just nipped any contradiction of the rational part of his mind at once.
"Cool." The redhead turned on his heels instantly, stepping into the bedroom as he had already brought two glasses there. "I'll be waiting." Slowly he made his way inside and sat down at the edge of the bed, crossing his legs nonchalantly.
Suddenly in a very good mood, Kaoru rushed back to the bathroom to get at least partly dressed and then dried his hair. During that, he thought about where he would be sleeping. He certainly couldn't sleep in the same bed as Die although for some reason he knew that the redhead wouldn't even have anything against it. Inwardly he decided for the armchair and then went into the bedroom, sitting down on that very chair. "Maybe it'd be good if you showed me the letters now. There could be a hint about where the guy hides."
"Would you mind much if we'd leave that for tomorrow?" Die asked, smiling sweetly and lifted his legs on the bed, stretching slightly despite the fact that it made the dressing gown ride up his thighs. "I'm so tired after all this..."
"Of course not." The bodyguard shook his head and quickly directed his gaze at the drinks when he found himself staring at the perfectly smooth looking skin of the other man's wonderful long legs. Even his feet were looking perfect and that was almost too much for Kaoru. "It's late already anyways so I suggest we have a drink and then take a nap, right?"
"That sounds good to me. After all I need my beauty sleep." The redhead chuckled, giving his bodyguard a wink. He didn't make a move to get the drinks though, obviously waiting for the other man to serve them.
And Kaoru did. Like naturally, he poured both of them a glass of the extremely expensive whisky and leaned forward to hand Die his glass. "I don't think you get much sleep usually and you still look good," he remarked chuckling although he thought that was the understatement of the century since the other man just looked stunning, like sin itself how he was draping himself on the bed like posing just for him.
That was exactly what Die was doing, posing, and he knew it wouldn't leave the other man completely unaffected. Smiling he took the glass, sipping from it slightly. "Thank you for the compliment." He meant it even, as somehow a compliment from this man meant more than from a bunch of screaming fans.
There was this certain tension between them in the air and both men knew it was there but didn't act on it. One because he was still on duty for as long as this assignment lasted, and the other because he wanted to be conquered and loved to tease.
To break the silence before it could become too oppressing, Kaoru spoke up again. "Are you having plans for tomorrow after the interview?"
"Sightseeing!" Came the instant reply with a wide smile. "I would love to check out some places around here, so I'm afraid it'll be a lot of things to do for us tomorrow." He explained freewillingly, his eyes turned to gaze into his drink.
The declaration made Kaoru droop inwardly as he already saw them strolling down crowded streets, visiting typical places which would be flooded with tourists. How was he supposed to ensure the redhead's safety all alone then?
"You really don't want another guard?" he asked finally. Initially, he had been told he would only have to accompany Die to a few official meetings and then back to the hotel. At the award show itself, there would be a lot of security so that he would have backup there, but out on the streets he couldn't guarantee his client's safety.
"I only need you." Die sounded totally convinced and even gave the other man a warm smile. "Come on, cheer up, it'll be fun." He would definitely have his fun at least, having the other man keep him company all along. Sometimes he got really lonely as he didn't have friends with him all the time, and being accompanied at least by someone he liked would be fun for him. Besides, he still was determined to get to share a bed with the other man.
Kaoru was still ignorant to that fact, although he had similar ideas himself. "Yeah, I'm sorry. I am not a good company, right? But it's really not easy to guard you AND have fun at the same time." He was smiling. "Although you're the first client in ages with whom it's indeed nice to hang out."
"Thank you. I take that as a huge compliment." For a moment Die simply smiled at his bodyguard honestly, looking straight at him. Then the sparkle was back in his eyes and he downed the rest of his drink in one go. "But we'd better be fit tomorrow. Time to go to bed."
Instantly, the dark haired man followed suit and emptied his drink. "Sounds like a plan." Without waiting for a sign from the redhead, he stood up and took the spare blanket and cushion from the huge double bed. Then, he adjusted the two armchairs in a way that he could stretch his legs on them and tried to get into a comfortable position.
He was used to sleeping in weird positions; even a wall to lean on would suffice at times. Yet, this was far from being a soft mattress. "Have a good night then," Kaoru winked, waiting for Die to switch off the light.
"There's plenty of room in the bed too..." Clear suggestiveness was laced in Die's voice as he spoke up, trying to look totally innocent at the same time. As he simply received a headshake along with a smile he sighed, knowing it would be of no use to try arguing. "Good night." He made sure the other man noticed he wasn't happy though, and stretched to switch off the lights before sneaking under his blanket.
Kaoru had an uneasy sleep and when he opened his eyes in the early morning hours, his neck was killing him. Moaning, he stretched his arms and stood up to get his bones back into position. What a horrible night. When he saw that Die was still fast asleep, he simply sat back down on the chair, hugged the blanket around himself and watched the other man shamelessly.
Die was lying on his side, one leg stretched out under the blanket, his head resting on his arm and he was obviously having a nice dream, because he was almost smiling. But maybe it was just this natural glow he had, this certain aura that surrounded him. At least he looked even more irresistible like that, his hair dishevelled and the lush lips slightly parted.
It was already late in the morning when Die woke up for the first time, blinking tiredly and yawning, trying to make out where he was. Soon it came back to him and his first thought was to turn and take a look if the other man was still on the chair. He found him awake, looking at him and smiled reflexively. "Good morning." His voice was rough from sleep, and he coughed a bit as he had finished.
It made him sound utterly sexy though and Kaoru swallowed before he returned the sentiment, almost only purring the words. "You didn't set the alarm," he remarked, "and I'm afraid there won't be much time for breakfast before you have to attend the interview. The reporters come here to the hotel?"
"Yeah, they come here." Die nodded, turning to pull himself into a seated position, still clearly struggling to wake up properly. "I hate alarms. And I usually wake up early enough anyways. We can eat after the interview."
"Okay. Just tell me when I should get you anything. I guess the hotel staff has arranged the room for the interview already, so I will go and check if everything's alright before you go there. I don't think there'll be any surprises though." Kaoru was wide awake and despite the fact that he had woken up a couple of hours ago already, his mind always worked perfectly right after he had opened his eyes.
"I will just get dressed and I'm ready." The redhead nodded, already throwing the blanket off himself. "Come get me when things are done."
Assuming that it would be okay for Die to be left alone now that it was day again, Kaoru quickly went back to his room to brush his teeth and get ready for work. He checked the room where the interview would take place and then led the redhead there, discretely watching everything from a corner of the room. He wasn't really interested in the words that were spoken, but still watched the redhead's every move, marvelling how easy it seemed to come to him to enchant the people who were surrounding him. He even managed to make the young woman who was leading the interview, blush and giggle like a schoolgirl just by throwing in a joke and then telling her how awesome she looked.
Die seemed to enjoy the power he had over people as he seemed to succeed in making almost everyone like him instantly. By the end of the interview the woman was already head over heels for him, beaming happily as Die bid farewell and gave her a stunning smile. Instantly afterwards the redhead came straight to his bodyguard though, addressing him already when he was still a few feet away. "Ready for some sightseeing?"
"Sure. But I need a bit of food first or I will starve on the way," the slightly smaller man answered with a wink. He had followed the woman with his eyes and had very well noticed how her steps were considerably more bouncy than when she had appeared there. The fact made him shake his head and chuckle a bit. Die truly was a prince charming.
"Of course. We could have lunch at town and only then go on for the sights?" Die suggested smiling, already heading for his room and trusting the other man was following. "I have to change first though, so I need a moment."
"Alright." Of course his bodyguard followed him like a shadow. "How about grabbing a good old burger on the way?" he asked suddenly, as he had forgotten for a moment that the other man was his boss and not a buddy.
The suggestion made the redhead chuckle, but he didn't take it as an offence that the other man didn't address him formally. Quite the contrary. "Sounds good to me. And it will be quick, more time for sightseeing."
"True," the bodyguard sighed a bit again. "Don't forget your camera," he then teased while Die was already opening the door to his room. "Maybe I quickly change too," he suggested, thinking that a black suit on such a hot day would kill him. He could at least wear a normal t-shirt underneath instead of a long-sleeved shirt.
"Just wear casual." Die turned to face him, still smiling. "No one doesn't need to know you're some super-guard. Just dress as you would dress on a normal day out."
Kaoru was truly hesitating for a moment but then thought that Die was right. He would stick out less if he wore just casual clothes like anybody else. So he went to his own room and gladly changed the suit against some worn out low rise jeans and a plain black t-shirt.
The redhead was swift too, and when Kaoru entered the room again he was already waiting. He definitely managed to take the other man by surprise with his clothing. He was wearing a nicely fitting shirt with black and red patterns, and a knee-length black leather skirt. The surprised expression made him laugh, and he instantly asked curiously, "You like?"
"Well... uhm," Kaoru was just staring at the piece of clothing and at the lean legs that were showing underneath. "Yeah," he finally admitted with a grin. "But don't you think this is a tad bit too girly for mid day?"
"It's a skirt designed for men." Die waved aside, bending down to pull his boots up and lace them properly. "It's such a hot day that this'll make things a lot nicer for me."
'And give me and the rest of the world more to see,' Kaoru added in his mind. "I bet it's nice on such a hot day," he said, again his voice being only a purr as he got to stare at the other man's backside for a moment.
"It is." The redhead straightened only after a long while, brushing his hair back. "You should try once." He suggested with a wink and grabbed the key to his room from the table. "Now I'm ready to go."
"Fine." The dark haired man nodded and turned as well, ready to leave. He didn't answer the comment on the skirt though as he would probably never wear something like that himself. At least not in public. For private use, it was a whole different matter, but that was another story. "Shall we call a taxi?" he asked once they had reached the counter, cursing himself because he had forgotten to ask before and now cost them a delay.
"It's alright. We can walk, I heard there is this perfect burger place just a block away." Die decided, being in a too good mood to just wait for a car right now. It would be so much better to get going already.
So they were strolling down the street at an easy pace, the midday sun burning down on them. Every now and then, somebody turned his head to look at the redheaded man in the skirt curiously, some were chuckling or even pointing fingers. Every time that happened, Kaoru tensed, ready in case somebody would attack them. It was in vain though as most people didn't even recognize the young actor and since the possible fans were still at school, there was a good chance for them to have a couple of peaceful hours ahead. That was, until they would reach the sights with the tourists of course.
As planned they first went to get lunch, burgers in this case, and the food made them both relax and get into an even better mood. Die had announced there was this old castle he wanted to see, and so that was where they first headed, Kaoru definitely hoping that there wouldn't be many tourists at that time of the day. So far, they had been lucky at least, enjoying the day with no disturbances.
The castle itself was crowded though and there were a few fans approaching them, asking for autographs and if they were allowed to take pictures. After some time, Kaoru had it though and shooed them away, asking them to give Die a moment of peace.
The redhead only gave them a stunning smile and winked and for some reason nobody was mad at him, the girls only giggling and laughing, waving at him when they scattered again. Only when they had gotten their tickets and were stepping into the gigantic yard to get into the castle, Kaoru finally relaxed again and actually took a look at the old building.
Despite being interested in the castle, Die was really interested in his companion, and never missed a chance to try his self control. He might lean forward to look at the yard when they were in the tower, presenting a perfect view at his backside for the other man, or made sure to go up the stairs before him so that he was almost able to see underneath the skirt. He could feel the bodyguard's eyes on him almost constantly and that alone served to make him smile even more.
This was hell for Kaoru and when they were visiting the torture chamber, he couldn't help but to think that it couldn't be much worse to be tortured on one of those ancient devices. But he was helpless, because whenever the chance was given, he stared, no matter how hard he fought to resist his eyes simply didn't obey him anymore when it came to the redhead. The castle itself even fanned his imagination as he thought about all the things one could do there with the other man, up on the tower high above the earth or in one of the gigantic bedrooms they were shown, the shackles on the wall in the dungeon looking quite tempting to try too.
Finally the tour was over though, and they were again standing in the big yard. Die had apparently enjoyed the stay, although he didn't remember half of the things he'd seen as he had just enjoyed the stares he had received. Now he wasn't sure what to do though, and simply turned to the other man. "So, where next? Take me someplace interesting."
"I'm sorry, but I have no idea. I'm not from here either," the bodyguard shrugged helpless. He was no tourist-guide and hadn't asked the receptionist at the hotel for good places to visit either.
"Then I have no idea what to do..." Die pouted for a second, looking unhappy about the turn of events but then his expression brightened and he even nodded to himself. "I know! We can go to the amusement park! They have one here."
"A- musementpark?" Kaoru stared at the redhead disbelieving. That definitely was the last place he wanted to go since there would be only young people; people who knew the redhead and probably wanted a piece of him. "If you want to," he agreed though. "Let me go quickly to the information here and ask if they know where it is."
Of course he didn't just let Die stand there, but grabbed his hand and dragged him along, not thinking about this action. It was just so easy to forget that Die was a client when one was around him. Besides, if it had been Kaoru's choice, he would have dropped the job and instead taken the redhead.
That was actually exactly what Die was waiting for, but it took too long in his opinion to happen. This was a good start at least, as the other man was clearly more comfortable around him than the day before. And he had to admit, he enjoyed Kaoru's company a hell lot as well, feeling somehow relaxed and content around him. Despite the fact that he was getting desperately needy and wanted to get a piece of his bodyguard.
As soon as they had gotten the wished information, Kaoru realized that he was still holding Die's hand. It just felt too good and was in a way a natural gesture. Quickly though, he let go off it and smiled sweetly. "I guess you don't want to take a taxi there but prefer the underground and bus?"
"You got that one right." He was rewarded with a bright smile. "Now let's go so that I can test some of those roller coasters." He sounded almost like a young boy, enthusiastic about this idea. He hadn't told every part of his plan to his bodyguard though, but that could wait till later.
"Just make sure one of them doesn't turn you upside down or everybody will see your panties," the bodyguard teased in a friendly manner and determinedly headed into the direction of the next bus-stop which had been pointed out by the nice woman at the information of the castle.
"I bet you'd love to see that though." Die rolled his eyes, but couldn't help but to chuckle nevertheless. He was pretty certain he was making progress, but he wasn't sure how close to giving in his target was.
The comment made Kaoru blush a bit though since he had just thought the same, but he covered it with a smirk and replied coolly. "I saw your undies this morning already, so I know what awaits me. It's the other people's innocence I'm fearing for."
"Or maybe you don't want them to share the knowledge?" the redhead suggested innocently, giving the other man a smirk. Soon they were already stepping into the bus, and as the amusement park wasn't supposed to be far away it shouldn't take too long.
They were even lucky to get a seat just for themselves since another bus had just left a minute before this one and thus it wasn't that crowded. "Let's just say that I'll protect you in any way and hold your skirt down in case needed," the bodyguard winked chuckling.
"And at the same time sneak a good peek yourself." Die gave a knowing smirk, leaning closer until their faces were only millimetres away. As soon as it happened it was over though and he had leaned back again.
It was just in time before the dark haired man could have done something stupid and afterwards, he had to take a deep breath, unable to give a clever reply. Die was simply always a step ahead of him, always had an answer to everything and only the fact that Kaoru's job didn't allow him to start something with a client made him hold back and try to keep calm. Being a bodyguard was all he had ever learned, everything he had been good at and he didn't want to put that in jeopardy.
They didn't talk more during the bus-drive, Die was just obviously enjoying the situation, knowing it stressed the other man out, hoping he would just snap. Nothing happened though and when they arrived at the amusement park Die instantly dragged his bodyguard into the closest roller coaster. Afterwards they were walking around as Die had demanded to get an ice cream.
Kaoru invited him this time, thinking he could do at least that since the other man had paid everything else and although he was on duty, it still felt like being out on a date in a way. Soon, he noticed that he wasn't only concerned about possible attackers or fangirls whenever somebody looked at his client, but that he was indeed jealous too. At least it felt like that since Kaoru really didn't like how some people were staring at the gorgeous redhead and at his legs.
Suddenly Die grabbed the bodyguard's arm to stop him and pointed out his next idea. "There we go! I've never been in one of those!" He didn't give the other man time to protest, already dragging him towards what appeared to be a tunnel of love.
"Oh no! You can't be serious. This is boring!" Kaoru shook his head, but allowed the other man to drag him along nevertheless. Before he knew what had happened, he was already sitting next to the redhead in one of these gigantic swans, heading into the dim tunnel.
"I've never seen these from the inside," Die informed, like accidentally shifting a bit closer to the other man. "Come on, it might be cool."
"Okay, baby, let's make this original." Chuckling, Kaoru wrapped an arm around the redhead's shoulders, thinking this would maybe intimidate the other man enough to make him slow down cut the teasing a bit.
The petname made Die grin though and he actually leaned in to the embrace even, finding that he liked to have the other man's arm around him. It caused both of them shift a bit nervously though, the closeness making their hearts beat faster because they didn't know how to react to it.
The tunnel itself was boring, just as Kaoru had predicted, but they didn't even notice that since they were too busy thinking about everything else but the ride. The lights were dim, letting shadows dance over their features.
At one point their gazes met as they glanced at each other shortly at the same time. Neither of them knew who had initiated it in the end, who made the first move but suddenly their lips were touching in a chaste kiss.
Neither of them dared to breathe, keeping their eyes closed firmly and Kaoru's heart had just stopped beating at the second he had felt those soft, full lips on his own. It made him forget his job, forget his reputation, just forget everything that didn't include a dark tunnel, a plastic swan and the redheaded man.
As soon as it had begun though, it was over again, hadn't really had the chance to evolve into a real kiss, and yet had been so sensual that it now made Kaoru's heart race in his chest. He didn't withdraw completely, only slowly opened his eyes and dared to take a look at the other man, his breath tickling over his face.
Sensing the gaze made Die open his eyes as well and for a long moment they just looked each other in the eye, neither of them moving an inch. The moment was brutally interrupted though, as suddenly a bright flash of light hit them, made them flinch when they reached the end of the tunnel.
It pulled them back to reality and like in silent stipulation, they didn't speak a word about what had happened. Once they were out of the swan and already heading for the next ride, Kaoru said. "I told you it was boring." Inwardly, his heart was still practically trying to burst his chest and a flock of butterflies stirred in his stomach. That had been it, now that he had had a taste of the other man, it would be even harder, if not impossible, to remain professional around him.
They still tried out some other rides, but in the end Die announced he was bored and wanted to get something to eat. The truth was that the remembrance of the kiss still distracted him as he couldn't keep his mind off it and he just wanted to get somewhere else for here he clearly wouldn't be able to make any progress.

Previously happened: Part 1
