Title: Spread Your Wings; Chapter 6: Simple Things
Author: [livejournal.com profile] seinen_no and [livejournal.com profile] fonulyn
Rating: NC17
Pairing: Die and Kaoru
Disclaimer: We own no one, only our dirty imaginations.
Summary: Die and Toshiya are unemployed and penniless, even sharing a crappy apartment as best friends although they can barely even afford that one either. Across the street there's a luxurious whore-house, and the two have the brilliant idea that they'll try to get inside information about how things are in there to be able to write a book about it, to cure all their financial problems. Everything doesn't go as planned though, and Die is fascinated by one of the prostitutes like a moth by a flame.

[livejournal.com profile] fonulyn: This goes on straight where the previous chapter left off, and moves into a bit happier things towards the end. Heh, I at least like it that this includes a lotta stuff with Die and Kao together^^ And you get to also see Toshiya's reaction to Die's little adventure… Just like always, enjoy^^

[livejournal.com profile] seinen_no: I personally pitty poor Toshiya in this chapter. I mean, I can feel with him, feel the worries for his best friend who was acting so stupid. I always try to imagine how I would react if my best friend had just fucked somebody for money just to be close to that guy. I think I would've been harsher than Toshi, but I can't tell. And I honestly like the conversations in this chapter. I dunno, usually I'm not satisfied with how they flow or so, but here I like it since it shows the different personalities quite well. And I like Kyo, of course. He's just a cool bastard x) Okay, enough self-praise. Have fun reading, as usual and let us know what you think. Haha, and btw., I love to imagine the last scene. Almost there and then still nothing happens^^ *hugs you all*

Spread Your Wings
Chapter 6: Simple Things

Kyo was the first who again bumped into Die. "I won't say anything," he began, "but Toshiya's waiting for you and I don't think he'll be as considerate of you as me."

"Kyo, please. Don't hate me for this." Die looked at his friend pleadingly, honestly feeling sorry. He hadn't wanted to mess up things with his friends, didn't want them to think bad of him. But he had been too blinded by his own obsessions, too eager to gain the experience that he hadn't thought things through beforehand.

"Die, I work here for almost three years now. Do you honestly think I could hate you for this? It's your business and not mine. I only would've appreciated if you had talked to us about it beforehand. We could've smacked you until you noticed what a fucked up idea this was." The blonde shook his head, his eyes looking straight at Die's. "But don't worry, I'm still your friend and there's nothing between us. Only Toshi is, how to put it, raging."

"I somehow guessed that." Die sighed. "And I can't really blame him. But you know, it came quite suddenly to me too, and I wouldn't have had any time to talk to one of you beforehand even if I'd wanted to."

"No apologies. Save that for Toshiya. He's waiting in your room." Kyo smiled a bit and then suddenly hugged the redhead tight. "You are a stupid bastard, but I'm glad that I didn't need the first-aid-kit for you."

The gesture made Die smile, and he hugged the small man back tight. "Thanks, Kyo. But don't cheer yet, once Toshi's through with me you might need the first aid kit still."

"I told him to slap you for me too." The blonde admitted chuckling and then released him. "But I have to get to work now. For some reason, we're one man short today and there's a lot to do."

"Don't worry, you'll survive anyways." The redhead gave his friend a wink, before slowly heading towards his room. He had to walk carefully since it still hurt, and truth to be told, he wasn't really eager to see his old friend right now. There was no chance for him to dodge that though since Toshiya was sitting on his bed, his arms folded across his chest, head turned towards the window.

"Had fun?" he asked sharply, not even looking up.

Die stopped beside the door, leaning slightly against it after closing it silently. "I don't know." He answered honestly.

That made the black-haired man turn around to face him. "You don't know? Are you trying to tell me that there was something good in what you just did?"

"Come on Tosh. It's not like I killed someone." The redhead rolled his eyes frustrated, because he saw no way to avoid the argument. Besides, he was still aching and not in the mood for fighting with anyone.

"No Die, you didn't. But hell, can't you act like a normal person for once? Why do you always have to exaggerate so tremendously?" Toshiya's voice bore a mixture between desperation, anger and worry. "Admit that you just did that because it was Kaoru. I see through you, I really do. Fuck, just tell me that you at least used a condom."

"But weren't we supposed to find out how it is to work in a place like this? Think of it as new material for the book or something." Purposefully Die avoided to answer the other's questions, thinking that attacking would be the best way to defend himself. It was even a bit frightening how Toshiya seemed to know the motives behind his actions better than he did himself.

"Does that mean you're thinking about making this your regular job? You can't be serious. It's one thing to want to gather inside information than to just become a part of the story yourself." The black-haired man looked shocked. "Die... You're getting too much involved in this. Maybe we should just forget about the whole idea."

"No!" It was Die's turn to look desperate, his voice cracking slightly. "I can't just forget about it. Not after all this. And I am not thinking of making it my regular job for God's sake!"

Toshiya buried his face in his palm, shaking his head. "Die, this is getting outta hands."

Finally, he seemed to have calmed down even somewhat and looked up at his friend. "Did it hurt much?" All the anger had faded from his voice as he suddenly remembered the most important thing, that they were friends and friends were looking after each other. Even if one had committed a terrible mistake.

"It did. Still does." Die admitted, sighing a bit and averting his gaze to the ground. He felt somewhat tired, and definitely didn't want to argue with his best friend.

"Come here and tell me about it." Toshiya moved a bit to the side, making room for him on the bed as well. "Tell me how it is to be a whore." He thought that talking about it would make it easier for both of them and maybe he really would get some information they could use for their book.

Slowly, Die made his way to the bed, sat down and pulled his les close to his chest. He winced a bit at each movement, because he wasn't used to that kind of soreness and didn't remember it unless he moved. "I don't know what to tell. I should somehow sort out my thoughts. But it was..." he stopped to think of a word. "Well, made me feel cheap afterwards."

"And in between?" his friend asked and reached for the small notebook which lay on Die's floor. "It's better you tell me now what you think while it's still fresh and then maybe later again when you thought about things."

Die nodded, and began to let it all flow out, telling his friend everything that was on his mind. The nervousness, the strange feeling of someone watching, the way everything was somewhat clinical and acted. But also the sensations it had made him go through, the way how Kaoru had been considerate of him, being as nice to him as possible. He only left out some of his own emotions, things he wasn't so sure about himself either. It was clear that he had developed some sort of crush on the purple haired man, but how serious, he didn't know.

Toshiya listened silently, didn't ask questions in between, didn't comment, just allowed the other's thoughts to flow freely. Only when Die had fallen silent for some moments, obviously done, he nodded slowly and stored the notebook away, turning to look at his redheaded friend.

"Do you think you want to go for it again? I mean not for money, but out of curiosity to see if it can be different, if it can be pleasure without pain or uncomfortableness when somebody watches you." It was clear that he asked this as Die's friend, not as a reporter, the closed book emphasizing this fact.

"I don't know." Die had settled down on the bed, lying on his side and tried to move as little as possible, while Toshiya was still sitting in the end of the bed. "Depends on the situation. But I guess I could. Do it again, I mean."

"I'm sorry that I was so harsh. I didn't mean it. And in reality, it's none of my business." Toshiya said quietly. "But I was really worried. Gods, I already saw you covered in bruises, torn apart and crying." His eyes snapped up to meet the rehdhead's. "Though I was relieved when Kyo said you're with Kaoru. But still, I was afraid that customer could do something to you too."

"I wouldn't have done it then." Die confessed, looking his friend in the eye. "I probably couldn't have done it at all if I didn't trust Kaoru. And I don't blame you, I know you had every right to be mad at me. So don't worry." He smiled reaching out his arms. "Gimme a hug."

The other answered the smile and complied, closing his friend into a warm embrace. "I'm glad that you're alright. But next time you plan something like that, even think about it, I wanna know," he whispered. "And now you should rest a bit. Since I'm free, I promised Kyo to help him a bit to bring the laundry downstairs."

"I'll be back working tomorrow morning, I promise." Die nodded, holding his friend close for a moment before releasing him. "And I will talk to you if I'm planning something stupid again."

"Good. And now you sleep a bit. I'm really sorry for being so bitchy." Toshiya smiled at him and then stood up from the bed. "It's just because I love you, you know that."

"I know it. And I'm sorry for acting like an idiot." The redhead nodded as well, honestly sorry that he had caused his friend worries. Somehow though he couldn't regret the whole thing, because there still had been something in it... something in Kaoru.

Once Toshiya had left, Die staid still and thought for long, trying to sort out the mess in his mind, but finally drifted off to sleep. He had been convinced that the next morning he would be back to normal again, but he had to notice that he had been wrong. The burning pain in his lower back was worse than the day before. Still, he forced himself to get up from the bed, intending on doing something useful.

To his own surprise, the red light was still burning outside Kaoru's room. So he still had a customer? At this hour of the day? Aiji told him freewillingly that today was a free day for the purple-haired man and he was probably still fast asleep since his last guest had left only an hour ago.

Everybody seemed to know about Die's adventure and while he earned some smirks and appreciatory whistles or comments from the whores, he mostly got compassionate glances from his colleagues. Yet, nobody treated him differently, at least not to his face.

Die tried to act as if nothing was different and just did his job the best he could. Biting his lip, he managed to even cover his soreness for most of the time, although he still had to move slowly and carefully. Toshiya even helped him when he had the time, although Die tried to tell him he wouldn't have to.

It wasn't a particular stressful day and in the early afternoon, Kyo had mercy on him and told him he was free to go to bed or out if he wanted. Just when the blonde gave him a friendly shove to make him leave finally, Kaoru's door opened and the purple-haired man exited his room.

He was clad in casual clothes, jeans and t-shirt and still his hair was perfectly done, his eyes lined by black kohl. When he spotted the redhead, a smile appeared on those delicate lips. "Hi Die, how are you feeling?"

"Good." Die lied instantly, trying to dig up his most convincing smile. Partly because he didn't want to worry the other, partly since he just wanted to make it appear to everyone that everything was fine.

Somehow the purple-haired man seemed to see right through him. Still, he didn't say anything and only nodded, but in passing by, he shoved something into the redhead's pocket without slowing his steps. "Good to hear," he replied, the suppressed chuckles clearly audible in his voice.

Kyo only stared at the scene and shook his head. "What was that? I have the feeling that I missed something."

"You're not the only one..." His eyes slightly widened Die stared right after the retreating man. Subconsciously he dug his hand into his pocket, taking out the item to see what it was.

It was a tube of salve for sore skin, abraisions and so on. Not the kind they had in the storage room in the basement, but another brand. Kyo stretched his head to sneak a peek at the item as well and then laughed. "He doesn't believe you..."

Instantly, the redhead blushed, shoving the tube back into his pocket. "Apparently not. I have to practice being more convincing." He couldn't help but to feel nice though, the gesture causing him to smile and this certain warmth to spread inside him.

"Well, who are you trying to fool here? We all noticed that your steps aren't as bouncy today as usual. But now go. Maybe you can catch him downstairs. I bet he's going to that eatery across the street," the small blonde winked smirking. Without giving Die the chance to ask how he had meant it, he turned around and rushed off to continue work.

For a second Die just stood there, but then decided that he had nothing to lose and went after the purple haired man. Maybe he could at least thank him for being so considerate or something. At least that was what he told himself was the reason why he followed.

Kaoru wasn't downstairs, not in the launge, not in the kitchen or the big hall. He indeed had gone to the eatery across the street as the concierge informed Die with a smile. "He looked as if he would eat there. He sometimes does that."

"Thanks." The redhead smiled, heading outside. If he didn't have to work now he could as well get something to eat too, because he hadn't eaten anything the whole day.

Kaoru was sitting in a concealed corner at a small table and smoked a cigarette, obviously waiting for his food. Something made him turn his head though as the door was opened and when he spotted Die, he again smiled and beckoned him.

Die made his way to the other man, smiling at him. "The seat taken?" He asked, and after receiving a headshake carefully sat down, wincing only slightly.

"You shouldn't have dinner at a restaurant with wooden chairs," remarked his counterpart smirking. "Wanna tell me how you really feel?"

"Sore." Die admitted with a small grin. "Worse than yesterday. But I guess you knew it already."

"Of course I knew it." Kaoru hushed when the waiter brought his ramen and Die placed his own orders. "But you'll live through it. And it's at least not that you need stitches."

"Well thank God for that." The redhead sighed, before chuckling a bit. "Or thank you more likely."

"I thought about it a lot and I came to the conclusion that I must have terrified you with my actions. But I wanted to tell you something else." The purple-haired man looked at him seriously. "I hope you're not disgusted by me now."

"Why should I be?" Die looked mildly puzzled, tilting his head a bit as he looked back at the one opposite to him.

"Just because." Kaoru shrugged, being at the loss of words to explain his own feelings. "Others would be." He finally presented his motive.

"I'm not." The redhead nodded to confirm his words. He had to pause as his food was brought to him, but then looked at the purple haired man again, trying to figure out what to say.

"Good." Kaoru nodded and turned his attention back to his food. "Then we don't need to mention it ever again and can remain friends." He said it with a certainty that made clear that he regarded the other as his friend, nothing more but nothing less either, although inwardly he wasn't so sure what Die was for him.

"Of course." Die bit his lower lip slightly. Somehow it felt a bit disturbing that the other apparently wanted to just forget about the encounter. He didn't argue though, and tried to cheer up the mood slightly. "Tosh didn't even kill me. I was a bit surprised."

"Not?" His counterpart smirked. "Good that he's your friend. If it had been me, I would've spanked you for doing something stupid like that."

"He yelled at me, but that was pretty much it." The redhead started to get rid of his food, chewing slowly. "And told me that if I'm ever going to do something like that again he wants to know beforehand."

"And?" Kaoru asked, hitching a delicate eyebrow. "Are you going to do it again?"

"I don't know." Die answered honestly, raising his gaze from his food. "Depends."

"So you're not generally against doing it with a guy again? On what does it depend?" Kaoru kept his voice low so that neither the kitchen personnel nor other guests could overhear their conversation.

"No, I'm not generally against going for it with a guy. But it depends on the situation. And the person." The answer came with a shrug.

"That's how it should've been right from the beginning. Call me old-fashioned, but I am sure that sex with somebody you love is better than doing it with a whore like me."

"But I like you," Die argued, looking straight at the other man. "It's not that every time I look at you I see what you do for living. You're just a person amongst others."

"You're sweet." The answer came with a smile, but then Kaoru remained silent, spooning his soup contemplatively. Only after a while, when his bowl was empty, he looked up again. "It doesn't happen often to me that people see the person in me. No matter how much they try to be open minded, I can still see it in their eyes, can see what they think, the nagging question why somebody does that for a living."

"Yeah, but in the end it's only your business. There are other occupations I don't understand either." The redhead still had some of his food left, and he chewed on it for a moment before going on. "I guess I'm interested in why you do what you do, but it's not the most important thing anyways."

"Thank you." The purple-haired man nodded honestly. "I can understand that people want to know, but sometimes it's just simple." At a moment's notice, his mood seemed to change and he grinned. "Like I said. Maybe I'm just a horny bastard, greedy for the money."

"Yeah, maybe." Die grinned as well, emptying his plate finally. He didn't believe that explanation in the slightest, but didn't say anything, respecting the other's choice not to talk about it.

Kaoru beckoned the waiter and paid for both of them, waving his hand when the redhead dug out his money. "No, my treat. You can invite me some other time." With a smile, he stood up and waited a second, watching if Die would follow or decided to stay.

The redhead hesitated only a moment, before standing up carefully. "So, your free day?" He smiled, going on as he had received a nod. "Any special plans?"

"I slept so long and there's not much time left to do anything fun." The other answered with a small shrug and peeked at the man beside him. "And I don't go out a lot." With a shy smile, he added. "Afraid to bump into customers."

"You shouldn't be afraid." Die smiled in a friendly way. "When you're off duty they're just some random people you don't need to pay any attention to."

"But it's not nice when they think you're just easy prey and when suddenly the whole club knows what you do while you just want to have a drink or dance," Kaoru pointed out, a shadow clouding his eyes. "It's not that I'm ashamed. It's just that I know what's coming of it. And when I'm not nice to them," this time, he stopped their walk by grabbing the redhead's sleeve, "they'll come here the next week and make me pay for it."

"It's just not fair." The redhead sighed, knowing that the other was fully aware of it. "But I'll take you out one day and keep you away from any customers' sight," he promised with a bright smile, trying to lighten up the mood.

"That'd be nice." Kaoru mirrored the smile and it was clear that he honestly meant it. However, he had learned not to trust promises, had heard things like that too often to become too enthusiastic about it.

"Well," Die shifted nervously, casting a glance at his feet before looking up again. "I'm having the rest of the day off now... so if you don't want to be alone we could maybe do something nice."

His obvious shyness elicited a soft smile from Kaoru and he waited until their gazes met before he spoke again. "It'd be nice if you kept me company. We could order a bottle of wine for us and go to my room, if you don't mind. But we can as well go to yours."

"Mine is a hell lot smaller." The redhead grinned. "So if we want some room to breathe we should choose yours." He was relieved that the other accepted the offer, as he had been hellishly nervous just a moment ago.

"Okay, deal. You go to your friend in the kitchen and get us some snacks and I will organize the wine." The purple-haired man's mood seemed to have brightened considerably as a wide smile appeared on his face.

"I don't have another customer before early afternoon tomorrow, but when do you have to get up?" he asked, holding the door open for the redhead so that they could enter the brothel again through the front door.

"Around nine or ten, I think." Die tried to remember what his schedule said. As they went in Die headed straight to the kitchen, and with only a little effort, found Shinya there. The other only needed a moment to organize them something to eat, and soon Die was heading upstairs again, with a tray loaded with nice snacks.

Kaoru had already opened and poured the wine, waiting for the redhead in his small private room. In a corner, there were two comfortable armchairs with a table between them at which he nodded once Die entered. "Just put the snacks there and have a seat." He was still smiling, the knowledge that they would spend the evening together making him seemingly happy.

Obediently Die sat down on the chair, sighing contently as he noticed how comfortable it indeed was. "I want a chair like this too!"

"I doubt it would fit your room," the other pointed out. "But you can come and sit here whenever you feel like it." Kaoru reached for their glasses and handed one to his friend. "Cheers."

"Thanks." The redhead took the glass, immediately taking a sip of the wine, finding it good as well. "And you're right, it wouldn't fit my room. But I can always dream."

"Well, you're saving a lot of money by living here for free. So when you're deciding to leave, you can buy one like these." Chuckling, shaking his head, Kaoru added "Maybe not exactly like these, 'cause they are antique."

"Well, as long as it's as comfortable as this one." Die shrugged. He didn't really mind how the furniture looked, as long as it was practical and nice.

"I like old furniture and sometimes ask myself what stories those things could tell. Who used them, sat on them, why were they sold?" The purple-haired man gave away contemplatively. "It's nice to think about things like that."

The redhead smiled, but didn't comment on that. He had never really thought about that really. After a moment's silence, he turned to look at the other, arching an eyebrow. "So what do you usually do on your free time?"

"Not much. Sometimes I sleep, because I'm mostly tired. And if not, I sit here, drink a glass of wine and read a book. I don't have that many free days anyways," Kaoru answered honestly. "Sometimes I go for a walk in a park or downtown. Shopping." He laughed, because this sounded like he was an old man. "Pretty boring, huh?"

"Well, not really." Die smiled honestly, shifting a bit on his seat until sitting didn't hurt that much anymore. "I don't usually do that much either when I have free time. That means, if Toshiya doesn't drag me into a bar or something. Not that I'd have anything against it either..."

"I haven't been to a public bar in ages. And the last time, it caused an uproar, because the wife of a customer found out and she caused a major scene. Wasn't nice."

"Oh... I can imagine." The redhead fell silent for a second. "So I guess you don't fancy bars that much then."

"I do like bars. I just don't want to take the risk going there. And it's not the same when I go downstairs into the bar. Everybody there assumes I'm on duty and hits on me." Kaoru smiled wearily. "But I do like to sit here in my chair and watch the rain as well, so it's not that big of a deal."

"It just sounds lonely..." The words had escaped Die before he even noticed it, but they came straight from his heart. He thought it was sad that someone as nice as Kaoru didn't seem to have many friends.

"Sometimes it is. But I prefer solitude from hooking up with false friends. They just pretend to be a family around here while in reality it's all about who looks better, does more customers and such. There are nice people, like Kyo for example, but it's not easy to develop an honest friendship in a world like this."

"I guess it's a bit different amongst the servants." The redhead looked pondering, gazing out of the window. "I mean, most people are just plain nice and almost everyone gets along down there."

"Yeah, I guess so. But I've seen so many come and go. It's not possible to keep in touch." Kaoru took a long sip from his glass and then looked Die directly in the eye. "You will go once too and I'll still be here."

"Why don't you leave too then?" Die asked innocently. "I mean, then you would leave everything behind and could start a new life somewhere else."

"It's not that easy." Kaoru shook his head and averted his gaze. His body language spoke of how uncomfortable he felt. "I mean to start over when all you ever did in your entire life was to provide people with pleasure."

"But you seem to be bright. So I don't think it would be hard for you to learn a new job." Die spoke silently, not wanting to sound too harassing, although he was curious as hell. "You're young. You could study still too."

"Yeah, maybe." Kaoru still didn't look up and subconsciously bit his bottom lip. His voice was low as if he had already lost hope of leading a life outside the brothel once. Suddenly though, he smiled again, a forced smile. "I'm not sure if I am the person for one of these normal jobs. Getting to work at eight, coming home at five."

"There are other kind of jobs too." Die smiled, but as he sensed how uncomfortable the other felt he decided he could as well change the topic. "The worst job I ever had thus far was when I used to deliver pizza." He chuckled. "I had one of these ancient bicycles, and the front wheel didn't even work, so I ended up walking every distance and being late always."

That made the purple-haired man laugh and he shook his head. "Don't they have to give you the pizza for free if you need more than thirty minutes to deliver them? I bet you didn't have the job for long." He refilled their glasses and took another long gulp. "But it'd be an experience to work a job like that once. What else did you do to make a living?"

"Almost everything." The redhead grinned, taking a sip as well. "I worked at a construction site for a week and almost got myself killed. Then in a warehouse, a salesman in a shop, even as a plummer and gardener."

"A plummer?" Kaoru snickered. "When you were lying under the sink, did one see your crack then? I always asked myself if this was a condition to work as a plummer."

"I have no idea." Die laughed. "So I have to disappoint you by not knowing. You need to ask someone else."

"Did a customer ever hit on you? I mean like openly suggesting that she wouldn't mind a shag or even offering money?" The other was still laughing, his cheeks slightly reddened, probably from the wine.

"One of them did." Die had to laugh again at the memory. "She was young and pretty, and I didn't exactly say no..."

"You..." Kaoru slapped his shoulder in a friendly manner. "I always knew you're up for the moment. My respect."

"But it was only once. And she wasn't even married." The redhead looked totally innocent, trying to suppress his wide grin.

"Now that's supposed to make it sound what? More decent?" Kaoru leaned a bit to the side and tilted his head, peeking at his friend from below. "Was it worth it?"

"I guess so." Die frowned thougthfully, before nodding. "Yeah, it was."

"And why don't you have a nice girlfriend? I mean, you're young and cute, tall and have a smile to melt the poles. I bet the girls easily fall for you. But instead, you're sitting here with a freak like me and work in a whorehouse."

"I dunno. Maybe I'm just too picky?" The other suggested, tilted his head and offered a slightly insecure grin.

"Maybe you just found out that you like guys?" The question was accompanied by a huge smirk.

"Maybe." Die mirrored the smirk, just chuckling slightly. "I guess that would be a handy explanation."

"It would." Kaoru nodded. "So maybe you now need to think your life through again and plan things differently."

"Probably. But I have a lot of time to think while running back and forth along those corridors all day long."

"That's true. So maybe you should stay long until you figured out where you want to head with your life." Though Kaoru spoke with a slight teasing undertone in his voice, his eyes gave away that he just wanted to know about Die's plans, about how long he planned to work in this establishment.

"Maybe." Die noticed that, and somehow would've wanted to believe that the other wanted him to stay as long as possible. "I'm in no hurry."

They changed into some more shallow topics, just chatting while destroying the other bottle of wine together as well. Neither knew how late it was already, and frankly they didn't even care.

Die practically clung to the moment and wanted it to last longer, as long as possible. Kaoru didn't seem to be eager to get rid of him either and just ignored the fact that time was passing by rather quickly.

"I guess your butt aches a lot still. Do you want to go and sit on the bed?" he asked after they had opened their third bottle and his cheeks were flushed, his head light and swimming somehow.

"The chair is nice too." Die nodded, grinning widely. "But I guess your huge bed might be even more comfy." He chuckled, his eyes sparkling, but still didn't make a move to get up yet.

"You know how comfy the bed is." Giggling childishly, Kaoru jumped at his feet and almost swooshed the bottle off the table.

Before he grabbed Die's arm to drag him at his feet as well, he reached for his glass and emptied it in one gulp. Clutching Die's hand with one, the bottle of wine with the other hand, he took a step towards the bedroom.

Die followed, giggling somewhat drunken as he allowed the other drag him to the bed and force him to sit down on it. "Mind if I just lay down?" While speaking Die already fell flat on his back, noticing it was more comfortable than sitting anyways. The purple-haired man didn't answer and instead plopped down beside him.

Laughing whole-heartedly, he brought the bottle to Die's lips. "Now you're at my mercy. Say 'please' and you get some." But he didn't wait for the plea before he poured some of the liquor into the other's mouth.

Some of it spilled on the sheets and Die's face, but most he managed to get into his mouth and even down his throat. It made him laugh even more though. "Please." He didn't care that the plea came a bit late.

Kaou's body was still shaking with laughter, and he managed to miss his own mouth when he tried to take a sip from the bottle himself. Some of the wine ran down his chin and neck, causing an unpleasant feeling. "See, now it's your fault that I can't drink anymore."

"No, it's your own fault." Die nodded convincedly, pursing his lips seriously. "YOU are the one who missed your mouth anyways."

"Yeah, but I was only following your example." Somewhere deep inside, Kaoru knew that this wasn't exactly an argument, but he didn't care and instead took another sip from the bottle before offering the redhead some more as well. "Say aaaah."

"Aaaaaaaa," Die repeated instantly, but burst out laughing as the sound he emitted sounded more like it was ripped from a bad porn movie. "I'm sorry," he laughed, tears escaping from his eyes. "I'll try again."

"Dentist, Die, think of a dentist," The purple-haired man laughed and let himself fall backwards, watching him with a smirk on his face. "Dentist, not porn."

"But it's hard to think about dentists here." The redhead frowned, a few chuckles still escaping him. "Besides, I hate dentists."

Smirking, Kaoru brought his eyes close to Die's mouth and used his thumb to pull down his bottom lip, examining his teeth. "They look good, your teeth. So you don't have to be afraid of the dentist." Teasingly, he sniffed a bit and snickered. "And no bad breath, besides the alcohol of course."

"Yeah," the words sounded weird, as the other was still holding his bottom lip down. "I've really never been to a dentist, except for check-ups."

"You're blessed then." Again, Kaoru lifted the bottle to his lips, but had to find out that there was only a small sip left. "Damn, empty."

"Well, you have to blame yourself. You're a terrible drunk."

"Yeah, but tell me, how else should I stand your mere presence?" Of course Kaoru was only joking and he fought hard to take on a serious expression.

"If I'm such boring company, I can leave too." Die frowned, trying to look completely hurt.

"You'd fall to the floor before you take your first step."

"I wouldn't." And to prove his words Die tried to get up from the bed, but let out a small pained groan and instantly fell back on it. "Second thoughts, I'll sleep right here."

"See, your butt hurts. Let me put some more salve there." Before Die could react, Kaoru was already fumbling about his pants, his movements not as able as usual due to the consumed wine.

"Hey, don't grope me..." Half heartedly, the redhead tried to make the other let go. "I'm fine, really."

"Okay, then live with the pain, you stubborn bullhead." Kaoru raised his arms and almost fell backwards, leaving Die's pants open.

"You just wanted to get your hands on my butt." Die grinned, turning his head a bit to look at the other with sparkling eyes.

"Maybe." The reply came with an equal wide grin. "I didn't get a proper chance to just enjoy the sight yet." Kaoru snickered and dropped backwards again. "But now I don't feel like it anymore."

"Don't feel like it?" The frown was audible in the redhead's voice. "It's your loss then. It's a fine butt, if I might say so myself."

In a surprisingly swift movement, Kaoru first turned around and then flipped Die over, dragging down his pants. "Lemme see if you lied."

Bending down, he planted a wet kiss on the redhead's spine and on his lower back. But then, he didn't move at all anymore, only resting heavily on Die's back, his regular respiration giving away that he had passed out.

Die squirmed slightly under the weight, trying to see behind himself. "Kaoru?" When he got no response he just sighed, rolling his eyes. Maybe he would just rest for a moment and then see what Kaoru was up to.

Finally, his eyelids became heavy. It took only a moment and he drifted off as well, beginning to snore lightly.
